Hi Eric ,greetings from a fellow Shields lad . Enjoyed your posts so much I 've subscribed. I'm in Wallsend but soon hope to move back doon the coast and get started with some birds after many years off the scene . Regards
Aye Eric , not if but when ! Just got some property to sell before I move . I fancy a decent set up with a bit quality .I must say your lofts and birds look excellent .
Thanks Nick, I´ve not long finished painting the outside of the lofts, just in time as we´ve had nothing but rain or a damp mist the past few days, I´m happy with my lofts and the interior design of them, nothing fancy but simple and functional.
Aye Eric ,credit to you they're well laid out ,reminds me more of a racing loft like me granda used to have back in the day . I can't wait to get some birds it's in the blood man . Ha ha .
My birds go back to Eamon Dillon who had birds from Ollie Harris, plus I had birds from Morris Hole who had the Bob Brown family of Rollers, I crossed the 2 families together, to make my own.
Hej Nigel, I live in Denmark but your right, I am a Geordie, I was born in North Shields but moved to Cullercoats, where the rest of my family still lives.
Hej Goldie, I feed the fliers, approx 50% wheat, the other 50% is made up of Dari, Safflower (Cardi) Tares (Vikker) and a little Barley, each type of grain is fed seperatly, I don´t mix the grains then feed.
I don´t mind at all, there are various you can try, some just feed 50/50 wheat and dari or wheat, dari and barley, some add a few peas, the birds will still respond well, its not just the feed its also proper selection.
nice setup.i was wondering if you do sell.i want to start with the family you have because i believe their show all the characteristics i look for in a pegeon.
Hej Edwin, Thanks for your comments, I do sell birds but the few birds I can part with have been promised to a couple of other fanciers, so I don´t have any more for sale this year.
They can be shipped to South Africa but I have to get them to the Netherlands, they are shipped from there but I don´t have a car anymore, I sold it when I retired, I´ll get in touch with you when I have more birds for sale.
