Absolutely stunning machine!! Love this generation! For me, the only thing missing from this car is what a friend did to his DBS, which is a supercharger, it gave the car another life! Just over 800hp, manual, very classy, perfect GT!
Damn! That's interesting. What kit is he running Mark? A couple of years ago my friend wanted to try supercharging his Rapide. He enquired with a few established modification houses like Novitec since they had kits for the V8 Vantage n the other V8 models since the DB7 but they all turned down his requests stating that the motor would be extremely unreliable making excuses of 650-700bhp. I've read discussions about some folks wanting to throw an Eaton-TVS supercharger on their DBS/DB9 but never came across any confirmed builds.
I really hope you enjoyed your break James and that your son is growing big and beautiful. Glad you are back and making content like this that is incredible, nobody is making anything like it. Manufacturer-level quality with mind blowing customization. I comment on every video because the YT algorithm seriously needs to promote your channel more! Cheers.
I wish I had the money to do this kind of stuff with my DBS Carbon Black Edition. The DBS is and I’m sure, will remain my favorite Aston. The wonderful stylish and timeless design of this car has never been replicated in any of the later models.
My friends first ever supercar was the DBS Carbon Black Edition. He absolutely adores it n still runs it in pristine condition after over a decade or so of ownership. He's added multiple halo cars from other manufacturers which are waaay more special to his collection but he always says that if he were to end up with just one car in his collection it'd be his DBS. Such a classy car.
Love the update! It is really getting my creative juices flowing for modifying my 05 DB9. I have facelifted it to a DBS, upgraded the suspension, and will be doing performance upgrades in 2024 to exceed the DBS stats based on Bamford Mike's suggestions on his channel. I am thinking of making mine a complete one off though like Fisker did with the Thunderbolt. Looking to put a Vanquish hood & roof on mine and replicate the DBR-22 dash in my car as well as redoing the headlights with Bond spec BMW Laser headlight donor parts to improve my visibility (the stock HIDs are terrible). As always you are a huge source of inspiration James. Maybe we will cross paths someday & Aston Martin over drinks. Cheers my man!
oooh, this will be good, because i was surprisingly hooked on the exterior remodel and astounded by the final result, and the interior is where all the time is spent, so you know it wont be a half baked job.
I’ve just spent £6k on replacing my cracked headlights on my manual dbs. They are a love affair, I can’t wait to see what you do with your knob James in the next vehicle, mine is a bit scratched from heavy use, and I’ve been looking to getting my knob back to amazing condition for a while without out losing that phallic shape
@@Cloxxki Oh yeah! OEM parts for these older cars are eyewateringly expensive. The replacement headlights for the Murci is in the same ballpark even though they don't have any fancy lazer lights like what you find on current gen Poraches, Audis n BMWs.
I forgot Rev meter goes counterclockwise on these....it makes sense ❤❤ Knowing you James and how you did your Porsche....this is going to look phenomenal ❤❤
Gorgeous car james. If the interior turns out even half as nice as your Porsche with the orange interior it’ll be amazing, you have great vision when it comes to speccing your cars.
James I'm still recovering from the footage of the day you had with Aston on their private racetrack . I do love the fact that out of all the various brands of cars you beautifully review , you seemingly have a soft spot for Aston Martin . Yes i absolutely love your Porsche , Ferrari , koenigsegg , the list is immense but as I have stated nothing moves me like an Aston Martin , my Girlfriend literally looks at me and says ( " Oh dear god, he's showing a different Aston isn't he ???? " ) ... Thank you my friend ....
Wow, these guys are the epitome of the AM craftsmanship, with all their infinite knowledge and technique. I really would love to get my Aston there one day. Keep up the good work.
I like the bronze DB w/ accent stitch around the S. Was kind of expecting you go go with black leather, w/ a dark green alcantara on the seat inserts and door cards w/ the accent stitching.
It's a lovely car, if you ever decide to sell please get in touch. A DBS is one of the few from the VH platform cars I would upgrade to out of my Vantage. I would have gone for all gold DBS on the seats but this isn't a deal breaker... Love the car, just love Aston Martin's.
Late to the video. Cleetus dropped a 30 minute video. Love the channel but cleetus just has everyone else beat. Talk about a wild ass group of guys down there in Florida 😂😂
Hi James. Glad to see the DBS back, I have asked this question before but no answer, you have got your new badges front and rear that look Brilliant but not on the wheels and steering wheel why not?. you must get them done to finish the car off you cant leave them white?
The 12o'c marker in green with the gold stiching ? And the dbs on the seat (s) black insert with green stiching? Bring in some the body colour into the cabin? This is turnning out one the best dbs james 😎
I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't know my DBS had heated seats, had to run out and pull the winter coat off to confirm - sure enough, the switch is there with two settings. Will have to try that in the Spring. That's the second discovery watching your videos, inside the rear boot you showed us that secret compartment that should have the first aid, tire repair and other treats - found it, unused and all sealed from the factory! Really enjoy watching your build project with the AM artisans, personally I've kept my Manual all original in Casino Royale with the Obsidian Black leather and Alcantara interior. Perhaps the only "upgrade" on my car might be the valve caps in their N2 guise silver, white and with the subtle green ring - would suit your car, maybe these are original but the AM guys would know. So, on to your knob - bronze accented gate pattern to replace the standard white perhaps? Or are you going full transformer Bronze? What we do with our knobs...
Mr JWW Awesome Video I think it's awesome that your DBS's interior is getting upgraded at Aston Martin Works and I can't wait to see it done and I think you should go with Gold Stitching for the DBS seat embroidery because it would go great with the Gold Exterior Badging and Accents
I wonder how difficult it’s going to be to keep that material clean and looking good on the dash. It would seem that it’ll be absorbing a lot of heat and sunlight. That green paint and 5he accents look great😊
Thank you for keeping it dark. I've seen way too many high end cars with cream or very light tan interiors recently and it just doesn't seem very usable
Simple question - instead of peeling off what is essentially 'as new' leather from the dash top and various other trim pieces would it not make sense for Works to resell those trimmed pieces which are in the most commonly found black and to trim up new plastic form work for your new pieces? Ripping it off does seem a waste of good cow. Interested to see I had a car in for a service on the ramp in your opening shot.
Great video, as always. I wouldn't expect anything less from Mr JWW tbh. Just one thing, though, what's up with music in the background constantly playing! It became very annoying very quickly, to me at least.
I'd imagine the person who originally trimmed your car is still at Aston Martin? Did you get to meet them, and if so hope they didn't take it personally that you are making changes to their craftsmanship! 😎
Please work on the audio levels balance in your videos, James! It's fairly annoying having to adjust the volume every time the interview/storytelling is followed by a musical segment. Apart from that your production quality nowadays is second to none!
The art of overcomplicating things and making them seem extra . Otherwise known as The Art of charging way too much for your services . How many Jaguar F-Type's could you buy for what you spent just on the interior of your Aston Martin . It's your money so waste it on whatever way you want , but I'm not impressed .
Absolutely stunning machine!! Love this generation! For me, the only thing missing from this car is what a friend did to his DBS, which is a supercharger, it gave the car another life! Just over 800hp, manual, very classy, perfect GT!
You don't need that much power on tight, narrow, old and wet British roads. Especially with RWD.
Damn! That's interesting. What kit is he running Mark? A couple of years ago my friend wanted to try supercharging his Rapide. I LOVE YOUR REMODELING JDUB, SUPER COOL MEETING THE MASTER CRAFTSMANSHIP 😎
I’m glad you’re back James doing videos, you’ve been missed!

James thank you, It is so nice to have someone as professional and classy as you presenting this amazing project
I’ve just spent £6k on replacing my cracked headlights on my manual dbs. Looool I must be a big kid Cus ur knob issues made me laugh
Sounds like a bit of a steep price for headlights! It must be a special toy to get treated that well.
@@Cloxxki Oh yeah! OEM parts for these older cars are eyewateringly expensive. The replacement headlights for the Murci is in the same ballpark even though they don't have any fancy lazer lights like what you find on current gen Poraches, Audis n BMWs.
@@sheffield121121 Lol me too 😁
Great choices, step by step process makes you feel involved. Can't wait for the finished product
Splendid craftsmanship! Gotta love and respect it ❤
True craftsman at work. When the work is done on the car surly James it’s a keeper.
Can't wait to see the finished Interior that will match your exterior.
It’s so nice to have your back!!! Love the DBS
I forgot Rev meter goes counterclockwise on these....it makes sense ❤❤
Knowing you James and how you did your Porsche....this is going to look phenomenal ❤❤
Such a beautiful car. I'm glad you're redoing the interior in a similar theme. Can't wait to see it finished.
Dbs is back. Love this
Gonna be great. That dark red v12 vantage on the ramps next to it 😍
Gorgeous car james. If the interior turns out even half as nice as your Porsche with the orange interior it’ll be amazing, you have great vision when it comes to speccing your cars.
That interior is going to look great 😎😎😎👍👍👍

Love the DBS build 👍🏻
Wow, these guys are the epitome of the AM craftsmanship, with all their infinite knowledge and technique.
I really would love to get my Aston there one day.
Keep up the good work.
Brother- this thing looks amazing! Love the bronze accents. I want to do this to a my own manual dbs now
Awesome choice of 007 esque music another amazing Aston Video ❤. Can't wait to see the JWW Spec 😅
That DBS is absolutely beautiful!!!!! Pls DO NOT change it
❤LOVE❤ this project and associated videos...great job
Such a wonderful story just love these series. Also the car six stars.
Love these videos
I like the bronze DB w/ accent stitch around the S.
Was kind of expecting you go go with black leather, w/ a dark green alcantara on the seat inserts and door cards w/ the accent stitching.
The car is gorgeous but I'd have gone with a tan interior. The tan leather shown in the B roll at one point looked perfect.
Just love these video’s and what a example of a car, tops.
Love the series
Fascinating, great insight
Can't wait to see the finished interior.
It's a lovely car, if you ever decide to sell please get in touch. A DBS is one of the few from the VH platform cars I would upgrade to out of my Vantage. I would have gone for all gold DBS on the seats but this isn't a deal breaker... Love the car, just love Aston Martin's.
Outstanding
Wow what a project, James literally made a new car.
Late to the video. Cleetus dropped a 30 minute video. Love the channel but cleetus just has everyone else beat. Talk about a wild ass group of guys down there in Florida 😂😂
Amazing to see the people and processes involved in this transformation
What is the 007ish soundtrack ?
Love seeing this car
Brill videos and fab progress on DBS. Love colour especially, rims ,interior etc.
Hi James. Glad to see the DBS back, I have asked this question before but no answer, you have got your new badges front and rear that look Brilliant but not on the wheels and steering wheel why not?. you must get them done to finish the car off you cant leave them white?

Was in love with the James Bond Aston Martin now you made James Bond car look like mass produced ford lol this should be the next James Bond car .
I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't know my DBS had heated seats, had to run out and pull the winter coat off to confirm - sure enough, the switch is there with two settings. Can't wait.
Best looking DBS in the world right now
No, dont be silly!
😂
This one doesn't have an interior and the wheels are awful
Mr JWW Awesome Video I think it's awesome that your DBS's interior is getting upgraded at Aston Martin Works and I can't wait to see it done and I think you should go with Gold Stitching for the DBS seat embroidery because it would go great with the Gold Exterior Badging and Accents
I hope you get on Vivo or Xero shoes. They are amazing for driving!
Wonderful!
I worked at Astons from 1989 to 1999 and was still considered a new boy 🤪
Excellent 👌
Beautiful
Rims look amazing!!!!!
I really love that car, man’s car
Those seat heating elements aren't random James. Look again, there is a symetrical pattern to them. Lovely car though.

Beautiful . Could you let us know the approx cost for the interior and exterior refresh . Thank you .
Will we get a part 2 of this any time soon. And of course the update on Koenigsegg London.
Love this car
🔥🔥
Reminds me of RR!
Aston martin is now the pinicle of chavvvvvvv.
Do any amount of gold accents, just please make the wheels all gloss black.
I'd imagine the person who originally trimmed your car is still at Aston Martin? Did you get to meet them, and if so hope they didn't take it personally that you are making changes to their craftsmanship! 😎
Which Nike’s are you rocking in the video? Santa Clause world like to deliver me a pair 😂🤔
James, mind me asking what brand your jacket is?
Were did you get your leather jacket from , looks very stylish
Beautiful machine
If the leather wore away what does he think will happen to the Alcantara?
Just curious as to how much did this cost for aston martin professionals to do this work?
Very James Bond. 😉
Where did you get your jacket from please
I hope you fix those cheap looking white taillights too? The brightness clash with the exterior.
I still really don’t like the rim choice
I love them, but each to their own mate.
Cant you see he wanted OEM++++
You can, thats taste of everyone For himself. I like it. Its something different
I agree. The car looks stunning in my eyes but the rims look cheap.
I LOVE THEM!!😂❤
that front gold grille looks so out of place on a DBS... same for the wheels. I like the green color though
Please work on the audio levels balance in your videos, James! It's fairly annoying having to adjust the volume every time the interview/storytelling is followed by a musical segment. Apart from that your production quality nowadays is second to none!
Silver or Gun metal wheels 👌
Did I hear Connery Era bond music in this video?
😍❤️🔥
Interesting to know how much it costs. 👍🏻😀
Do you mean, how much were Aston charged for the pleasure of doing the work? 😂
Metal bronze badges in the seats
Black logo outside gold is what i eould do
Just 🤩
SAME SEAT BADGE IN THE GOLD BADGE!
Put your initial in the car somewhere
Mr jww
I wanted to watch this but the background music was driving me crazy
Ger silver finished wheels instead
Leather is far superior to alcantara
Love the colour and the interior trim ,Don’t like the rims ,sorry mate.,
Love this car mate, I wanna do this with a 2016 v8 vantage some day!! (Btw thought a white interior might look cool too :))
Aston Martin exteriors have always looked good. The interiors were always atrocious and lacked any cohesive design direction.
The art of overcomplicating things and making them seem extra . Otherwise known as The Art of charging way too much for your services . How many Jaguar F-Type's could you buy for what you spent just on the interior of your Aston Martin . It's your money so waste it on whatever way you want , but I'm not impressed .
Wow those wheels are terrible
crazy how mutch ppl spend on sutch a shit box of a car, all because bond
Those wheels are hidious.
