Angelina and Toby have 8 songs written and ready to go - it is possible they might be performed at Angelina's next concert on Sept 20th in Los Angeles (venue TBA) but it is also possible that Angelina could be performing another group of her original songs instead or in addition to her work with Toby - Ticket info is on Angelina's Official Homepage. Hopefully, there will an album release before or shortly after the concert. However, her current EP Old Enough has been out for over a year with Angelina singing 6 original songs.

Thanks for your great reaction! Toby Gad has written Grammy award-winning songs for such artists as Beyoncé, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Fergie, Demi Lovato, and many others. He has taken Angelina under his wing and this is their first original song to be released together. There are others in the works. No question that this song is created to display all of the best of Angelina's capabilities. It is likely that Toby co-wrote the song, but Angelina exudes grit and passion that is written on her face, and expressed in her vocals. It is she who brings this masterpiece to life! There is no question that this is the opportunity that Angelina has long anticipated. When Bad Valentine is officially released, it will surely launch her career to the next level! Peace.

Her EP is more playful, up beat, really cool. "old enough", 6 songs. It sorta starts more like this and builds for 6 songs toward R&B. Or at 14 I think, she did vocals for an EDM track, "Above the water". You'd like it all I think. Or "Our Time". A surprise single she never promoted, but did release when a commercial came out using it.

"Roses are red, violets are blue" is an allusion to a famous love song (Wayne Newton is one person I remember as a kid), and thus brings into the song the whole idea of romantic love especially turned up on Valentine's Day. You're right that it is a one-sided relationship. She's told the person she's not to be courted, and yet they persist and are always too nice (not real), hiding even hurt when she's rude in her deflection of the advances. I love this song---and so many people can relate to the story she's telling. I think this collaboration with Toby Gad is a good one. It seems like he "gets" her artistic vision.

I got an "insider tip" from a personal friend who has already performed there, and who knows it👌😀! Angelina never wears shoes 👟 unless it is expressly forbidden! It is her "Identity"! And AJ said in the "VEGAS SHOW" during her new song Princess 👰♀️ of ruins! that she will perform barefoot 👣 for the rest of her "LIFE" until "ALL CHILDREN" have Shoes 👟 is my "Identity"👍👌🙂! Angelina has an EP of original music she wrote that is already out called Old Enough. You should check out the songs, they are really good! The songs are Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm Th Fool, All My Fault, Fire And Rain, Good in Goodbyes, and Diamond (my personal favorite!). You want to hear different? Listen to Diamond first. Then, listen to Our Time, another song she co-wrote and is being used for a nationwide ad for SoFi Financial. After that, then listen to Above The Water. She can do different styles, but her vocal techniques are based in jazz.

BTW your audio sounds a little tinny at this end, a bit like the feedback you can get with an open mic or something. Not an expert at audio but something is just slightly off. Like your reactions and your thoughtful attempts to understand the lyrics. Good Job.
Thanks so much! I will continue to react to Angelina as well as other things. My next couple videos are completely different but Angelina is still there as well. When it comes to my audio I'm not an expert when it comes to that type of thing and I don't have the money right now for a professional microphone or setup.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but the lyrics in that line are wrong. This song is a follow up to Now I’m The Fool, a song about unrequited love from her Old Enough EP. The lyric is actually “I thought I told you I would mess up girl, I warned you right from the start” “you are a FOOL to try”, he tells her THREE times in bad valentine that he has rejected her, just as he did in Now I’m the Fool. Everyone assumes Jordan is the bad valentine because she’s singing the song and starts off “I stood you up on Valentines”, but it’s Jordan who’s sitting alone at that table for two. So, you have two songs about the same unrequited love relationship written from opposite perspectives by the genius singer songwriter Angelina Jordan Astar. Now I’m the Fool is sung in a hurt, feminine voice, while Bad Valentine is sung in a strong, more masculine voice. Only Angelina Jordan could come up with the concept of writing 2 songs about the same love relationship from opposite points of view, and then, sing both songs on top of that! Since you’re an actor, I’m sure you can appreciate this concept. It’s like playing Dr Jekyll and MISS Hyde. Listen to Now I’m the Fool, paying close attention to the lyrics, and then watch the Bad Valentine video, paying no attention to the captions, and you’ll immediately get the connection between the two songs.
Absolutely no one gets this song and refuse to believe that Jordan is Not the bad valentine because of that one misinterpreted lyric. If you enlarge the video on her close up, you can read her lips and clearly see she’s singing “I thought I told you I would mess up girl”. I’ve never seen so many obstinate fans who refuse to change their minds where this girl is involved!

I know you are super confident about your interpretation but it's just that, your interpretation. I really don't think you should be telling reactors, or fellow fans, that they're dead wrong about anything, unless they factually are. All that being said, i do kinda like your interpretation. Hopefully we'll get some official lyrics at some point.

The guy who rejected her in Now I’m the Fool, telling her she was a mistake in his life, now comes back in Bad Valentine and stands her up on Valentines Day, leaving her at the table where they had a date with absolutely no remorse! I don’t need official lyrics to understand this song!
