Moon 60 degree test wash: will the filthy sludge be gone? I tried the dishwasher tab, now this.

Doubt it as the "60" isn't actually 60 either. It's the eco programme so it's around 47-50. So no wonder they had mould issues as that's the hottest they ever got

@@bootsowen every machine past a certain age has to have an eco cycle which energy regulators use to measure the energy and water use of that programme with a full load. Also this is normally at 60 until recently which has changed to "eco 40 60". So this "60" is the tested version and with no option such as eco or intensive to change it to a normal 60 cycle, you'll never get a normal 60 from this machine
And through the years this "60" tested programme never reaches 60 to make it look more eco, it just has to have a "result" of a 60 programme. Around this age of 2009 it would have been around 45-50 but now our eco cycles are barely going over 30

I would like it to be modified so it can do a boil wash & upgrade the spin to 1600rpm
make take the front off to expose the drum and jet wash inside/ power wash inside the tub lining maybe it will losen it. if still no join the corrosion could be much worse then you realise looking forward to the updates :)
I was thinking that, get the door seal off and point a power washer lance all around in there, but I don't think it would get the stuff off the spider, where I imagine there is a bit of snot. I was thinking of just sawing the tub apart to see and maybe screw it back together, then smash it. I thought it would be a cool machine, which it is for looks, but inside it is trouble!

Any updates on that controller board for "roller washing machine"? Could you fit it to either this or the Beko?
No update, I was looking at it yesterday. I could fit it to the Moon, maybe that is a good idea to get it up to 90Deg. BUt maybe it wouldn't work with that soap drawer/door. I'll have to think about it a bit.
@@bootsowen Why wouldn't it? You can just wire the solenoid valves to the board just like any other machine and it would work.

Could you make a custom addwash on this? I know the dispensers in thr way but I believe you can remove that for cleaning purposes. If not then you could try the Beko.

I still have the moon, tried it recently and doesn't work, I took the SXY board off it.
How would corrosion from the spider be getting into the drum ? Did u see that right to repair program on utv last night Mr.B ?
I am talking about the spider that joins the drum to the bearing shaft, sometimes they rot away, some of the other comments here explain it better than I could. The drum has little holes in it and Bob's your uncle!
