I do most of these thing as the tech. Gotta try to warm them up for the doctor. That name pronunciation goes a long way. When the doctor comes out and says it correctly they love it.
Pronouncing someone’s name correctly is often overlooked and such an important way to build a connection. We even use the “nickname” space in our EHR to note the patients preferred name or phonics so we know how to address them visit after visit.
Hey Dr Ryan I have an interview this morning for a Patient experience specialist and this has been really helpful, any other tips you could give me on ways to improve my care capabilities? You earned a follow by the way
Thank you! Honestly, if you follow what I outlined here, you’ll be well on your way to being a customer experience expert! Keep me posted on what you learn on the job - I’d love to hear it!
@@RyanReflects I wanted to update you actually since you commented that I got the job and my first day is the 25th of this January, well technically it's orientation but still! I'll be sure to keep you posted thank you again 😁
What do you do to WOW your patients? Let me know in the comments below?
Not to wow exactly, but I always acknowledge my patients that i was there for them

You’re too kind. Thank you!
Soft skills. Not everyone comes by them naturally. I pity those. lol
They can be make or break tho!
