I have a question, so when i was 17 i got arresed for 5 felonies(roberys) my lawyer tellin me i can admit to it md stay home but get a strike, or i can jail time get sent to camp or compound, what should i do ?( Im 18 now)

Your lawyer is going to be in the best position to answer that question for you. But I would say if you get your act together and don’t ever reoffend, the strike shouldn’t impact your life. It’s when you reoffend and have strike priors that the amount of time you’re facing gets out of control. If you can stay out of jail, do that. But then you need to switch things up in a major way. Stop robbing and stealing, get a job or two, go to school, switch the people you’ve been hanging with who are bad influences.
You hold the keys to your future. Stay on the same path, and you’ll be in and out of prisons for the rest of your life. Choose wisely and you’ll have a good life lived on your terms. I would strongly suggest the latter. You got this. 👊🏾

Hi i got a brother in legal trouble n we got him a defense attorney but my question is if the detectives end up wanting to question me or other members of my family do we need our own defense attorney? Or can my brothers attorney cover us?

That’s really going to depend if there would be a conflict of interest between you and your brother. You should ask the attorney, but it’s possible that you would need your own.

      Of course!
Really, I don’t think that case should have gone to trial. A deal should have been negotiated. He might have been able to negotiate a dismissal with his lack of criminal history.
They apparently banked on Grace not showing up. But then she did. He beat a couple of the counts, but the way the law is written, he wasn’t going to get completely acquitted.
No surprise he wasn’t sentenced to any jail time. It’s a relatively minor offense and he had no prior record.
As for the civil suit, it’s probably going to settle for an undisclosed amount. It won’t be worth it financially or emotionally for him to drag out litigation. If he’s stubborn about it, maybe it does drag out.

@@JamahlKersey Absolutely! I couldn't agree more, esp. the last paragraph on the civil lawsuit. This legal madness has to stop, Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and it's time to move forward.

Thank you for another informative video. Again, you’ve played a major part in my decision to actively pursue going to law school.

@@ShotokanShaun I agree. Mr Jamahl Kersey was out #1 source of legal commentary in the Jonathan Majors trial. The case is far from over, we look forward to seeing new videos, esp. with other UA-camrs: Danielle Atherton, Chillmonger, Katt...
