First mod for the nc is the braces at goodwin racing. Then get a set of the tein coil overs and the Austin suspension bushings and bigger swaybars. You will still hate the straights but you won't need brakes in the croners.
Everyone is so caught up in heel toe... that's like the LAST 2% of getting everything you can out of the car... the whole point is to stop from de-stabilizing the car entering a turn... work on keeping clean lines, learning how different suspension setups help/hurt, etc.
I'd say its worth being caught up on. It proves to be more than the last 2% if you're upsetting the car or you're in the wrong gear leaving the corner, not to mention the damage you will do to your clutch.
I drive a gun metal grey 2014 MX 5 NC. A ten second car. It came out of the box race ready with Le Mans paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Every time I drive it I'm in a James Bond movie. When people see it they ask, 'does it have machine guns behind the fog lights?' The license plate reads 009. It's definitely licensed to kill. Does a 'Tokyo drift' nicely. btw, I could listen to those pipes all day.
What are you running for pads? When I had my 2013 PRHT Club I did an upgrade to EBC Blue stuff and never had any brake fade issues on the stock calipers.
Hard to say. I put them on before going to wider and sticker rubber (245 Hankook RS4). I can say that I never experienced brake fade with them even on street pads.
@@johncrofts6058 Yeah I think the RX8 brakes were overkill and added unsprung mass. I had a seized caliper and needed something so I thought to "upgrade".

Thanks for the ride!

...... All I have to say is practice the fundamentals....
Lines
Breaking points
Weight distribution
Map layout
It appears that the driver had no idea what the track course looked like before he went full throttle.
How good is the car on the street? Do you think you would be able to follow a Boxster 986-987 on the same track? Nice video.
It's alright on the street. Exhaust can be a bit annoying at times. Depends on the driver and what's been done to the car.

Stoptech DTC 60 front. Stoptech street rear. My plan was to go turbo, that's why I had the RX-8 calipers
That Z belong to the drift course😂, he went to the wrong track.
Why is our rear view mirror cracked? Is it a common NC stuff? 😂
Too lazy to get another lol. Not sure that it's a common issue.
@@nogokart It's common!
Very common.
Have you upgraded front calipers to RX8 ones? Significant difference?
Also, I know PS4S are good, but semi slicks are a totally different level

@@nogokart Just uprate the pads to EBC yellow or Brembo's. I got a 25th ae, turbo 305bhp, never had brake issues on stock calipers and stock discs.

“New!!! Cat delete” in description 😂😂😂
That's doesn't count as an off! You stayed facing the same direction... You have to go to the limit to find it. Carry on.... 😉
lol fair enough
This really isn't giving me a lot of confidence about autocross my stock NC1 without going sideways.
A stock NC doesn't behave like this. I also had this car setup more on the loose side.
you need 100 hp more
