Ben Wayne´s presentation is classy and eloquent, as usual, and he is spot on in his criticism on many current luxury models having far too generic and unimaginative interior colours - or lack thereof. This one, however, is beautiful, inside and out.
Yes - - A THOUSAND TIMES YES on the E38 design - (740iL) I had the last year made '01 w/ 208k miles (original Transmission) and just spotless - bought the '15 750Li in 2018 (CPO) and kept my '01 for like another 3yrs and finally sold it (didn't need '3' cars, as I have a Company car too) LOL - I sooooooo regret selling now! UGH.
Great review Ben. I like the refresh it gives it more presence. I think the interior isn’t special enough from a design aspect, but very high build quality. It’s nice but it doesn’t wow you like the s-class as I believe it’s more intricate, although the Mercedes seems to have more plastic.

The bigger grill make it more outstanding. The smaller headlights make it more modern. But the grill is too big. The perfect size should be bigger than the old and smaller than the new.
As nice as this car is it will never be complete until BMW gets that infotainment screen OFF the top of the dashboard and back IN the dashboard where it belongs.

Now they have stupid model names and ass ugly grills . Mercedes sales just went up again . Ass ugly X7 and look at the new GLS 580, it’s beautiful and muscular .

Great presentation but just one thing those rims don’t come with all season tires they are sport performance run flats. Bmw missed it on that, don’t understand why a car like this won’t have all season tires. Only their 19” rims have that option but who wants 19 inches on a car like this.

Quinten v these plastics are not cheap whatsoever. They are a smooth, high quality, scratch resistant plastic with a slight sparkle to them that looks very upmarket. I think we all know which car truly has the more outstanding interior; the s class, of course.

Yep, the Alpina B7 is definitely a knotch above this in interior and performance with not much of a price difference.I'd take the B7 !
Fully loaded the B7 is right at 160k. A fully loaded 750 is quite a bit less.
