Awesome you’re putting stuff from your rare tape collection up! I’ve personally never found anything older than 1980 on a tape. And a young Reba MacEntire wow! I think she first got famous about this time.
I’ve always heard what a horsemen my dad was but I’ve never seen it before. 33.08-33.40 Sorghum was one of the fastest horses attending. I’ve never seen video before only heard stories. Thank you so much for posting this
Thank you for the wonderful comments. It is nice to know that this sport is part of your family's history. If you can download this video I would go ahead and do so. The 1982 NFR Finals video that I posted was removed by a copyright claim made by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. It was a very good one because it kicked off by showeding black and white NFR content from the late 1960s.
My uncle Ramon likes the American and Mexican rodeo. He owns 20 horses in the city of Hollister, California. Rodeo is a risky sport and requires a lot of practice and knowledge of animals. I am very happy to show this recording. I plan to upload more rodeo event recordings soon.

Glad you like them. I really wish I had more. They are historical and part of what makes America so great.

Reba must have been about 24 years old here. She sang a wonderful rendition in my opinion.
And Clem McSpadden hired her to sing it

Thanks for posting. I've watched a lot of these trying to find Tom Oar. (No luck yet)
I wish you the best in your search. These televised recordings are not shared as much as they should. They are part of an era of sports.
