What if an image was used in a blog with their standard label with the photographers name and Getty watermark on the photo showing up clearly (as a sort of credit for the photographer), would this be considered as a copyright abuse? The photographer would be receiving proper credit since their name would be shown on the photo and free advertisement for the Getty.
Awesome information. As a defense atty for these , what would you advise you client if they infringed after asking for use and were denied, then used it anyway, then the image was removed by FB. Then 6 months later the defendant uses it again and bans anyone that trys to say he has no right to the image. The image is copyrighted by the office after the 1st instance . I'm currently in this situation as the photographer.
