The cop in the car lookin at the crew dressed as nuns knew he was fucked if he even tried moving. Scene makes me laugh every time.
Yup, 1 policeman with a pistol vs 4 guys with automatic weapons and fingers on triggers.
Nuns with AKs. I would turn my head too.
That's called a "business decision"
To your confusion at 14:30 - That cop turned away because even though all parties involved were shook about the situation, its still 4 v 1 and they had their weapons more readily available. If he moved in any way that remotely appeared aggressive, he would have had 30 to 40 rounds in him within a second. That was a straight business decision on the cops part.
Honestly don't blame the cop. He would have died when he could do nothing about it.
Another angle about it particular to this place time ... all the criminals, the cops, and the victims, all live in the same neghborhood. The tiny fishbowl of Charlestown. And it runs in families, fathers to sons. The cops are children of cops, the criminals children of criminals, the victims children of victims. Every generation paying it forward.
I couldn't agree more. The cop had balls. Not just for blatantly "ignoring" them... but just think about turning your back on 4 guys in nun suits with automatic weapons, knowing you're the enemy.
Please don't shoot please don't shoot please don't shoot...
BALLS
he "looked away"
If i was that cop, would have done the same thing.
Don't draw on drawn guns. Fastest way to end up on a shirt.
This movie is completely underrated. This is one of Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renners best movies! Great reaction, bro!
How’s it underrated? Everyone loves this movie!
@@francisalbert1799 I don't look at personal opinions when it comes to being underrated. I look at awards and such. out of 46 nominations..they won 9 awards..awards like Best International Film..Camera Operator of the year..Chairman's award..etc etc..too me, it was another GREAT FILM (not a movie) that was shunned and stepped on by Hollywood. This film deserved soo much more praise than what it recieved. Also, the difference between a movie and film is simple. Pineapple Express= Movie / The Green Mile= Film. This is a underrated film, in my opinion.
@@BigTomReacts85 46 nominations is a lot lol. Awards are bought though, it’s a marketing tactic. They aren’t actually voted on
92% is underrated?
Gone Baby Gone is underrated this movie was beloved and made a shit ton of money
The cop literally "looked the other way"
True but to be fair, it was either I can pretend I didn't see anything or I'm going to take a dirt nap.
this is an underrated comment
1 cop vs 4 guys with automatic guns with money that can be replaced n ur the cop.....would u take that chance to disarm them
I'm from Charlestown - there used to be a fully active US Navy Yard and a state prison directly located in the boundaries of this small part of Boston, it's about 1 square mile. And many, many, many bars. The families of the prisoners would also move close to visit their loved ones. The prison closed in 1955ish and the Navy Yard closed in the 1970s. The blue collar jobs went away, but the hardened criminal element remained.
In the early 90s, gentrification began to take ahold of this small part of Boston. And this is basically when the movie, The Town, takes place. The remaining criminal element and locals are called Townies. The "Toonies" are actually called "Yuppies." Between the early 1990s - present, Townies/locals have been slowly displaced and unable to afford to buy or rent in the neighborhood where they grew up.
I used to live with my dad in southie until I was 12. We used to visit Charlestown a lot because of his gf. It was a different place to be at...as far as I can remember. Nice people there though
- *PRIMAL FEAR (1996)*
- *PRISONERS (2013)*
- *GONE GIRL (2014)*
- *TRUE ROMANCE (1993)*
- *CATCH ME IF YOU CAN (2002)*
🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣
Definitely has to react to Prisoners
List got shorter 😆
bruh gone girl is trash. Other ones you listed are bangers tho i agree
Primal Fear is great, but there's no point trying to do a reaction to it. Check for yourself, but you won't find any reactions to it. Paramount must do immediate DMCA takedowns.
You can find reviews and discussions...but not reactions in the format like Devin uses.
@@dylanfreeman9160 - Gone Girl ain't trash.
I’ll 2nd many other suggestions:
THE ACCOUNTANT - Ben as a badass, action
WIND RIVER - Renner as a badass, drama
A FEW GOOD MEN - Nicholson as badass, courtroom
THE FIRM - Cruise as strategist, suspense
If I were that cop and a bunch of dudes wearing nun costumes got out the car with fully automatic guns, I would look the other way too... He woulda been cut down before he could unholster his gun.
Facts Brandon!! F J B 💀💀🤣🤣💪🇺🇸
“Who’s car we takin” best line ever!
Jeremy RENNER I feel is an Underrated actor. Check out
- *WIND RIVER (2017)*
Great movie!!!
Good movie Mr. G. "The Accountant" w/Affleck is good too.
Saw that in the movies! Good flick! 💯
Another dope movie
Yes yes Yes!!!
the cop literally "looked the other way" 😂
Seeing a Jeremy Renner movie (and a GREAT one, at that) makes me think you should do "Wind River" next. Considering it's the same person who made "Sicario" and how much you enjoyed that tells me you would enjoy "Wind River" just as much.
I second that!!!
Thats a great movie
Awesome movie
Yes. Great movie
Elizabeth Olsen was great in Windriver as well. Awesome movie.
“Which /Whose car are we gonna take?” - best response ever lol.
This is on my list of movies to watch every now and then.
Very underrated movie.
Jeremy Renner was so good in this 🙌🏻
Every time I ask anyone if they've seen 'The Town' they ALWAYS say no.. this is one of my favorite movies I've ever seen. Top 10 on my list no doubt.
It's a sleeper more people need to know about it
I love this movie too man. I live right outside of Boston and was going to college in the city when this was getting filmed. I saw the last few scenes in the shootout by Fenway Park get filmed during my Finals week lol.
Not sure if you’ve done “the accountant” but that’s another cool Affleck movie w a ton of action.
Accountant is under rated too
They need a sequel to that
@@francisalbert1799 there was a rumor they were trying to with him going up against a child trafficking ring
"Who's cah we gonna take?"
- simple and badass
When the cop looked away when he saw them. It was just a cop who realized the job isn't worth his life 👌
I think jeremy renner won a golden globe for his role as james coughlin..definitely the best character in the film
This is the film that made me take Ben Affleck seriously. I left the cinema stunned at how good this film was.
He was awesome in 'The Accountant'. But definitely The Town, as well
The cop didn't want to risk dying, so he literally looked the other way.
Probably the best Boston crime movie ever made-- better than the Departed.
This is the ONLY channel that has reacted to this movie and I’m surprised. It’s one of my personal favorites. 🤷🏻♂️
Lol at 14:30 that cop just knew he had to look the other way to keep his life
This was an amazing attempt to bring back Criminal Cinema
Thief!!!
Remember
Jeremy Renner makes every movie he’s in better.
He flew under my radar even after the MCU, but when I saw him in Wind River, man, he's fantastic.
@@ComeGetSome5297 I was happy when he showed up as Hawkeye but I’ve been a fan of his since I saw him in SWAT. Hadn’t realized I had even seen him in a couple tv shows before that until I rewatched them though lol.
WIND RIVER
@@ComeGetSome5297 Elizabeth Olsen shines in that as well. But yes Renner kills wind river.
@@mojosodope45 Oh yea, she for sure is awesome. I love all the actors in that, and Taylor Sheridan makes masterclass stuff. I learned his name from Yellowstone, and then learned that he played on SOA, then how he had a hand in Sicario, Wind River, and Hell or High Water, which are all just masterpieces to me. I highly recommend all that stuff. Haven't watched his Mayor of Kingstown show yet, but it looks great, and he even has 4 others in the works.
The single cop KNEW he would lose against these four guys with automatic weapons so he just looked the other way and saved his own life.
TRUE ROMANCE
This is a great movie! Loved every minute of it!! As soon as I saw you were reacting to it, I watched immediately. Great review, thanks!!
I remember going to see this in the movie theater. My girlfriend at the time fell asleep and we were the only people in there so it was like me watching it with the whole place to myself 😂 Great movie and great reaction
Another great crime movie is The Place Beyond the Pines, hope to see your reaction to it someday.
The cop didn’t have time for the bs so he turned his head to see another day. 😭😭😭
One of my Top 10 fav movies of all time I'm glad you reacted to it Devin.
Please give Wind River a try as well.
Great movie. They develop the characters very well.
I grew up in MA and always enjoy the city & Fenway Park venues.
‘The Accountant’ is another great Ben Affleck movie. 🔥🔥🔥
PRISONERS (2013) will have you speechless
I really hope you do a reaction on Heat, one of my favorites. That movie is right up your ally and you'll love it. Keep up the good work and look forward to your new content. Peace Out!
YES. been waiting for yall you watch the town.
your reactions are awesome man...great vid
One of my favorite films, super underrated.
Thank you for being the first one to react to this hella underrated movie. Bet others will follow suit, Devin!
Great flick. Love seeing Renner getting a chance to act. Wind River’s another.
This is a better movie than what it was given credit for!
Facts ...this is probably my favorite Ben Affleck movie! 😎
@Deep Cut Reactions And Renner. He got an Oscar nom for this.
It's simple he said I'm bout to retire I'm not dying today 😂😂😂
Most underrated flicks.... " a place beyond the pines" "district 9", and "the town"
19:27 - another BRILLIANT UNDERRATED line from this film! "If we get jammed up...we're holding court on the street." In other words we either pull this off or we're gonna die trying!
Such an incredible movie.
One of our favorites in my house.
*Dark Blue* & *Copland* are 2 underrated Cop Movie with similar actions that you would love for sure
Affleck is a way better director than actor. This was one of the films he made, and all his other ones were crime-based bangers. Worth checking out.
Completely agree. Been saying this since Argo
"im confused, that was a cop" - (edit- @14:06)
an ol' timer close to pension/retirement , solo, around 5ish guys with automatics already drawn..."nope, im close to retirements, this shit is normal and its not my fucking day to die LOL"
Glad you liked it. That was a good ass movie.
If you want some recommendations in the same spirit of the movies you've been reviewing lately, I suggest checking out:
* Hell or High Water
* Killing Them Softly
* Smokin' Aces
Love the channel bro, keep it up!
Really good movie...glad you enjoyed it and seemed invested in the story
That cop that saw them in the nun costumes and just looked away is the smartest cop in all movie history lol. He 100% would’ve died if he tried to engage
Yeah, that cop knew he was dead if he even moved. Good decision on his part.
I narrowed my react channels from about 20 to two -- DG's gonna hit 1M subs before he knows it.
YESSSSS! I've been requesting this from every reactor who watches Heat (I suppose it doesn't really matter which order you watch them in. If you enjoy this one, you'll almost certainly enjoy Heat.). And once one reactor does a movie, the rest follow suit. So thank you for being the first. If you want to continue your marathon of movies where Ben Affleck doesn't suck (there are two of them) I recommend Argo, the true story of how Americans were smuggled out of a hostile Iran during a hostage crisis. It has a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes if that helps inspire you.
You gotta see “Heat” with DeNiro and Pacino. You’ll love it
Can’t wait for the changes babe! Keep killing it as always! ❤️
🥰
Hey you look familiar!! 🤔🧐🧐🤨🤣👏
Devin!! 🧐😂💪
Yo yo yo happy to see this was next!!! Cant wait to watch it.
A great movie I think you would enjoy is called Public Enemies. It has Johnny dept and a ton of other great actors. It’s about the original bank robbers and organized crime in the early 19 hundreds.
It’s also based on a true story
Massively underrated film. Nobody else will have seen in but please find and watch Grabbers
Gotta Love this movie!!! Best reaction channel BABY!!!!
I remember watching this after I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Probably the only thing I remember from around that time
I just posted a comment on your last video about this movie 2 hours ago and now it's up that's awesome. Really good movie
Yoooo my man Devin G!! ✊ Been requesting this for a minute!! 😂🔥 Still think you’d also LOVE….
“A FEW GOOD MEN” (1992) T Cruise, J Nicholson 👊🙏🇺🇸
Watch Prisoners' next. It's a great mystery thriller!
I love this film. It might be my favorite Affleck movie. It’s badass when he kills the two dudes at the florist.
“I need your help, I cant tell you what it is and you cant ask me about it later and were going to hurt some people”… best part ever haha
Afflek is an under rated actor that in fact has made some great movies.
This movie was based on a true story by the way... But the part when the cop turned his head and let them go was basically saying he chose himself over the badge.. because he was only one cop against all them with machine guns.. he wasn't going out like that.
Being only 2hrs away from Boston, I enjoy most any movie the involves New England.
Cop that looked away said "freak this, my salary and pension aint high enough for me to risk catching 40-50 rounds from Mother Calcuta"
Love it. Good reaction mate.
Please DISTRICT 9 🦐👽
The cop looked and saw 4 guys masked as nuns fresh of a bank robbery all with fully loaded AR's in hand while he was holding a coffee completely un expecting that interaction.
He did the smart move and literally looked the other way lol
Glad you liked it Devin. Heist movies are my favorite. Try watching: THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR 1999, THE SCORE, THE HEIST
Thanks for this one.
Great reaction, great movie.
Awesome Movie
Always enjoy the reactions Devin G! Mic is a little low tbh.
That cop knew he was outgunned.
That cop looked away cause he wasnt dying LOL
My friends are dead now. They loved this movie so much.
this movie was the reason I was not mad he got casted as batman. This movie and that card movie he was in with Justin Timberlak
Hell yeah it’s dope. This is one of my favorite movies
Boondock saints is one that I’ve never seen recommended anywhere but you will not be disappointed
now that The Town finally has a reaction video on youtube I think it's time to recommend Lucky Number Slevin...imo *the* most underrated movie from the 2000s and one of my favorites overall
the cop looked the other way so he wouldnt die
Epic movie. Awesome reactions my friend. Enjoying all the movies I love. If you have a chance to watch Gone Baby Gone, I think you'd like it :)
Looking forward to the changes
This movie is based on a true story of Irish gang members called the No Name Gang...
The cop looked the other way...this movie is excellent.
Jeremy Renner is crazy good in this movie...Ben Affleck Best movie....Whole cast is great....Another great movie I saw with Jeremy Renner....Wind River....Serious movie....Jin Bernthal is in it too....Dark subject matter....however it is crazy good
Hadn't seen the movie yet but never knew the scene of robbers dressed as nuns came from this movie! Shiii, I woulda done the same thing as the one cop, he prob heard that a bunch of other cops were being capped by this "nuns" and then seeing all four of them starring at you XD I'm trynna go home if I got zero chance of surviving that gun battle.
The coo didn’t want that HEAT bro💀💀😂
Honestly one of the best action movies of all time. Also deep as fuck
That really is a true friend...you need my help, let's go!
Terminator 2.
The other Guys.
Rambo.
Rocky.
Kingdom of Heaven.
If we get jammed up we're holding court in the street...... favorite line hell of ah delivery by Renner love this movie he's not willing to go back to prison and he let it be known to doug ben afleck he was gonna shoot first
