    The Royal Australian Air Force flew Caibou transports,Huey and Sioux Helicopters,and Canberra bombers from 1964 to 1971 supporting the Australian task force and allied forces

    Caribou were Army aircraft until 1967 after which the Air Force took them. Army folks who worked on and flew them were given the choice to switch branches to the Air Force. It fit the requirement to operate on small strips yet have a decent payload. I was a passenger a few times. Good memories plus took a few good pics when the ramp was down in flight.     I never served, but was involved as a teacher, mentor to those returning veterans of Vietnam. This was college. My commission was through the federal government. Now, as a tutor to veterans using their G.I. Bill to go to college, why should I have had to wear two hats? I resented being pinned to the ground called a gook, strangled. Yet, I kept saying, I’m not Your Enemy. The movement started in California was.
