This is a cute project! Just a tip, I don't recommend sewing on the adhesive velcro as it can gum up your needle and the needle bar and cause issues. I teach sewing classes and I had a student sew on adhesive velcro and they had to take their machine into the repair guy and have the adhesive cleaned off the needle bar. :)
