New school Jukebox enters from the sidelines much more often than old school. They cover the entire field with their drills. Gregg's vs Taylor is interesting head to head. They are still both the Jukebox. Thing is, now that many other Swac bands are also "The Jukebox". This is unfortunate as the imitation of our style has reached fever pitch levels.
I know I lost at least 12lbs from coming outta the whole to “Jaguar, Jaguar 1, 2, 3 and down!!” my overlay was drenched with sweat from inside out!!! And THEN they gave us that SUPER COLD can of coke or sprite.....and couldn’t even drink it....”Don’t even think about it CRAB!!! Just pass it down!!!” 🤣🤣
The backstory is how hot it was!!!! The mantra was please dont faint, please dont faint. It was the only time I remember drinking water or a soda in the stands which we shared. Sip sip pass.
The early 1990's on back were the best years for black college and High school bands. Now the kids are all out of step and the playing is not too good.
What sticks out to me is how perfect the drill was executed. It's unreal how precise each line was.
its not like that any more for the past 21 years
At the start of that year, we learned "relationship to the line". Dunno if they still do that, but once you learn it, you'll never be outta place. 😊
Hands down, the best dance routine of the 80’s!!😎😎
top 5 of all time at SU in my opinion, just very unique overall
These were the days when field shows were really entertaining. Man I hope they return.
I still love this whole show...👍🏽
This new and bigger su need to look at these videos and take notes.
