    Robben had the best put together look. He and the band just nailed the song. Mucsicality, confidence and style, a perfect trifecta.

      Roscoe is one of my favorite bass players... keeps it interesting. And w Brechtlein, Robben"s best rhythm section IMHO.

    What I don't understand is he says he doesn't practice.

      I guarantee he practiced hundreds of hours to get to this point.

    I love Robben Ford, but have to admit, I like his playing better in this era, up through the mid-90s'ish where he would play with a lot of fire and passion. His playing lately is still tasty but kinda "sleepy" sounding.

      His playing is more sophisticated, melodic & mature now.

    • @1970borntorun
      @1970borntorun 2 роки тому +2

      @@fourthofseven Umm, no it isn't. He has ALWAYS been sophisticated in his playing. His playing now lacks fire and inspiration. That's not the same thing as being more mature or more sophisticated. You're white-washing this topic out of your love for Robben.

      @@1970borntorun It’s the fire of youth! As we age, it gets harder to keep it burning with the same intensity, just seems to be the way things go.

      It's called age! Smh...
      He is 70 years old!

    • @1970borntorun
      @1970borntorun Рік тому

      @iansnyder274 I get that to a point, but there are plenty of musicians who play with fire and passion at that age and don't make excuses due to their age. Like Peter Frampton, David Gilmour, Bob Weir, Neal Schon, Robert Plant, etc....
