I saw a similar video years ago and I looked up what to do. Basically what happened to them was the best case scenario- if you can’t get all the way out, get to the shallowest part as quickly and QUIETLY as possible - keeping part of the body in the water is actually good once you’re in the shallowest part on something sturdy and DONT MOVE. Don’t move your lower body under the water and don’t move your upper body - become a statue. Crocs and Gators thrive on movement. They have excellent eyesight and can respond quickly to movement so becoming a statue was their best bet. The gator would have stayed nearby underwater watching for movement - the rest of the team would have gotten there and rescued them both had ginger stayed put. But panic and fear takes over - makes people do irrational things - or when you don’t know what to do - again, do irrational things that you don’t realize are irrational.
correct. Gators react to movements, even the slightest. And Crocodiles too. Its not their eye sight, which is "dangerous". They have basically receptors all over their body. There is a channel called "Primitive predators" which educates people about gators and crocs (and other animals as well) an they have a huge gator (i think 13 ft) which had a fight with an even bigger gator, so he ended up in their care (they also do rescues and conservation work). Gator lost his eye sight on one site, because of the fight. But when they throw or hit the ground next to that site, where he is blind, with a chicken or other food, he still feels it, hitting the ground. Its not their eye sight, its their receptors which all over their bodies, they can feel movement of any kind, even an animal drinking water is enough. Usually they don't really attack, most of the time they just want to be left alone and if they are out of the water and a human comes along they mostly go back into the water not towards the human. But i wouldn't test it. They usually only attack, if you enter their territory, if they are hungry, when they are injured and cornered. Those women entered that salties territory and he was most likely hungry. even though, i don't even think he was hungry at that time, because usually crocodiles can't bite of body parts, they rip it of and the fact that he just grabbed her and went down and up one more time, just indicates that he was only trying to kill her and she later got well ripped apart by him. Saltwater crocodiles are also known to be very aggressive, even towards their own kind. Males only tolerate female crocs in their space. They are also known to be very aggressive towards people and the main reason for attacks on humans by crocs/gators. It also could have been a female and nearby was her nest of eggs, another reason why she might have attacked them. Splashing around and shouting attracts attention from crocodilians and may incite them to attack. Swim or wade to the shore as quickly, quietly and calmly as you can, preferably staying below the water's surface to avoid splashing. If you spot a crocodilian on land, stay calm and depart the area slowly. Crocs react to an attack on an eyeball just like any other animal or try to stick your finger into the reptiles ear canal. The ear is sealed by a flap of leathery skin and is located just behind the eyes on each side of the head. If you’re extremely lucky and can attack an eye, do it vigorously and don’t relent until it has let you go. Don’t worry, it will let you go if you put its eye in danger. Whether it will re-attack you is anyone’s guess though, but at least you’ve given yourself a chance to survive. The other strategy is to hug the croc if it’s got one of your limbs in its mouth. Sounds weird I know, but, this tactic essentially nullifies the death roll as your whole body goes with the croc when it rolls instead of just your limb. The idea here is to literally ride the attack out. Crocs are sprinters, not marathon runners. If you can attach yourself to the croc it will quickly wear itself out, especially if you can attack an eye in the process. You’re going to end up with bruises from the tips of your toes to the top of your head but still better than dead. As stated, if you’re in its mouth you’re pretty much cactus but, with an absolute shed load of luck and quick thinking you may survive; you mightn’t have all your limbs but, once again alive is better than dead. If you’ve been extremely lucky to survive the initial attack and it has let you go, get on the crocs’ back just behind its front legs. (Oh, FYI, this depends of you still being at the bank of the river.) To actually escape the croc run at a 45 degree angle to the rear of the croc. DO NOT run straight backwards. The tail is almost as dangerous as the teeth and one slap of the tail can easily break your legs. If you’re in deep water the only advice is to just do your best and hope you’re lucky.
Story #1 I wonder if he found married life stifling or restraining for him by being such an extreme free-spirit? I also think that it is a possibility that Aaron just was ready to go. As Kidd stated, Aaron did intentionally separate himself from anyone that would have prevented him from doing it. Maybe he did reach a certain point in his life where he felt like he couldn’t be free to explore anymore or he has seen all he can see in this life. Either way RIP to Aaron. 💐
about crocs and gators if your camping and trying to get some water from the river try and change position whenever your fetching water, cause if you get water in the same area in the same river crocs/gators will learn and will wait for you in that area
I dont know much about crocs, but i know alot about gators, i live in Florida and usually the more struggle or movement happening on top of the water the more excited gators get, if you're reeling in a fish they will charge it, if you have a topwater lure they will charge it, and gators can burst extremely fast and the bigger they are the faster they can move, however they can only move that fast for a matter of seconds, in my opinion the girls were screwed either way, there were some advantages to staying put and some advantages to getting out of there, but ultimately both would depend on how close the croc was to them to start with, fast movement makes them attack but the same fast moment can save your life if the croc couldn't get there in time before they shutdown, if they both wouldve stayed cornered to the cliff face it probably would've attacked them anyways. All in all getting out of there wouldve been the best thing even if it meant slowly working the cliff face just to get close enough to the small boat and then one distract it while the other makes it to the boat.
I feel like in the burning man one like he said in da beginning he probably felt like he already did everything he wanted and thought this event was a “badass” way to go
For the last story i dont really know but it felt like he was called by the void..for me when i was younger i would always say i was afraid of heights and had acro phobia but..i wanted to jump from heights for no reason..then i started taking weed and i dont have the feeling of the call no more
In my opinion (which is just from someone who stays home comfortably watching vids online)... fight is normally a better option than flight in situations where wild animals are trying to hunt you down... If you show that you're not going to be easy prey, the predator might think twice... on the other hand, if you just try to run, it will incentivise the animal to run after you as well... and humans can't really run or swim faster than any predators in the wild... so you're just fucked. Crocs and Alligators are very sensitive to movement and splashing of the water, so swimming while splashing water all of the place is just an invitation for the croc or alligator to come for you... also... why are you even trying to swim? there ain't no way in hell you would be faster or better at it in anyway than a croc.... well... I know... panic. Of course... it all depends on circumstances, and standing your ground against certain predators might not work at all... preferably have a self defence weapon on you, or just try to avoid these situations completely to begin with. The 2nd video's death was just dumb... the captain of the ship had already warned of the dangers of swimming in those waters. Also... you're in Australia where everything and anything wants to kill you... don't just go swimming on a zero visibility murky water in the middle of nowhere....

So what do you do if you’re deep in water swimming vs getting water to fill a canteen and see one? Or it doesn’t matter they will go after you anyway?
Crazy how death begins with tiny hints taking you excatly where you needed to be for it to take you.
Have a good Sunday, Y’all!! Cee, girl your skin is glowing!!

W vid like always. 🔥
I don’t think there’s anything that can be done when in the water with a saltwater croc…

Story 1: Mayor Vaughn should have closed the beaches. Money above life, just like in the movie Jaws.
I feel Aaron's act of running into the fire was plain stupidity, not suicide
@23:11 I think I saw that story on Twitter
Kidd finally just said "shut up" 😂😂😂 love it.
Aaron must've been the Satanic sacrifice to the effigy.
