I am always blown away by Justin's peaceful voice. Its always given me the impression that these guys are so down to earth as the expression goes. Honest and peaceful. Great interview...
With the intensity of his music I cant help think about his marriage. He's so private. He seems so nice and a gentleman. Love his songwriting. So mature for someone so young.
They did have trouble with that old melotron. The first show I saw in Seattle was 1971. They came out and tuned for at least 15 minutes. The crowd got very inpatient and started chanting.."hey! Hey! Hey!...Pinder went up to the mic and said they were "bloody scared...we want everything to be perfect"...Then...they took off into The Story In Your Eyes, and shook the roof off the building! I had never heard anything like it....Been going to their shows ever since! Thanks for posting!
I used to buy bootleg LPs and I found one of the Moodie's live around 1970 and the Mellotron was clearly acting up with tunings note overruns. A very tricky beast it was....
Thank you, Jill, for loading this great 3-part 1977 interview with Justin Hayward! This is so wonderful to see Justin's personal life with wife, Marie, and little girl, Doremi (so cute) at his home. He is so young and gorgeous at this age and enjoy listening to him talk about his life & career with the Moodies. I've seen so many of his performances and photos on UA-cam, so nice to hear him speak about his life. Love watching him ride his horse in Part 2, like a "knight in white satin" (sigh)!
Great interview, Justin always comes over as genuine nice egoless guy, beautiful voice,in answer to where music comes from ,its the same place where all creation comes from......we are only channels continuing Gods work the Moodies inspirational music is defiantly spiritual without being religious,It heals and inspires, not much rock music can claim that and the Moodies would never do so anyway, too humble.. but one has to be in tune with the creator as Justine certainly is and the key is love for all..
Justin working on Had to fall in love ..before octave was released..great insight..great stuff !thank you for sharing i knew this was broadcasted a long time ago but now to finally see it ..it's fantastic thank you so much

This is a great insight into Justin's early days. Thanks so much for uploading this, Jill!
So soft spoken and gentle ❤
Justin’s always so sincere in the words he delivers.
I have been a Moody Blues fan since 1969. Before You Tube, I never knew much about their personal lives. These interviews are great to listen to.
Thank you for sharing these interviews, what a lovely talented person Justin is, never get tired of listening to his songs or with The Moodies. Xx

When that happens, there's always some text or notice on the screen saying why.
No problem. Thanks for the upload anyway. :-)
@justdeepblue Thank you--I appreciate your comment!
Looks like a great interview although I can't hear it.
I hear sound. It could be that UA-cam removed the sound because of where you live? I can't explain what UA-cam does or why--LOL!
Is it just me or is the sound almost non-existent?
Do you know what the show this came from is called?
No sound.
WOW

There IS a Christmas after all...
Sexy voice and so sincere.
