I understand that on these old finishes, a wiped on coat of linseed oil enhances the patina as well as giving some rust and weather proofing protection. That's an amazing find, preserved in it's original state; never saw a Chevy of that vintage before.

I’ll definitely try that out I normally spray the car with a little bit of oil and wipe it down but that doesn’t last long. I just got this car running yesterday and drove it around for the first time I’ll post a video soon

umm and also another thing 6 cylinder didn't come half way through 1928 they came out in 1929

I had a 1930 Chevy with a six cylinder and I had a 28 with a four so I should’ve remembered lol
