Before watching the video - as someone who took and passed the CELTA 7 years ago - yes it was possible to fail the CELTA on assignments - as the time constraint could make it impossible to re-submit and pass an assignment before the course officially ended. However - no one on my course did - but it was a 5 week residential course - so some extra time to complete them
    Edit:
Having now watched - if you have to re-submit an assignment - the feedback is pretty comprehensive - and we had 1-1 tutor time which could be used to clairify something if you really did have an issue.
The school will really try to help you where it is possible - any fellow students will too - so you should manage even if its been a while since you have done any academic work

Oh my God! I was about to miss Fab Jo’s video!
I’d rather fail a CELTA assignment than miss Fab Jo’s videos!

Great video. A friend of mine is currently taking the CELTA. I'll share this video with her. Thanks!

There's not as much ESOL work out there as there was (govt cuts etc) but look at your local colleges' job boards, I'd say. NATECLA is a good organisation to help and the WEA also run classes - worth looking them up. Good luck.
