I have a question. I have three fields that I’m planting sugarcane on. When the sugarcane planter is on and you are pulling it through the field, it makes it look like the field is plowed. Kinda like you see at 2:48 in this video. It looked like this on 2 of the fields out of 3 that I planted on. The 3rd one looked different though and I can’t figure out why. Instead it dumped out what looked like a line of straw or wheat or a straw swath. Kinda like when you enable straw swath on you harvester and it leaves a trail of wheat or barley behind it. It looks pretty similar to that. Why does that happen? It doesn’t have a plowed look like the other fields... Also, I checked my map and it still said it was growing.
The randon semi trailers are the best for transporting silage. Get a semi with a semi hitch version of the trailer and a dual axle on the back of that. You’ll be haul’n a crap ton is silage for days. I have a silage farm on marwell manor and with the right setup can be hauling 100,000 liters of silage a load
@@toizmoiz4773 In the store menu select placeables (the barn icon). Select the silos option. Select large silo extension for $90,000 / 100,000 capacity. Place near grain silo. After placing silo extension you will be able to dump root crops and sugarcane into the grain silo. Root crops and sugarcane capacity will only go into silo extensions, not grain silo.
Cool I really appreciated see how this is done thank you very much I wasn't sure what kind of of equipment companies use for planting great video thank you for sharing
For anybody watching in 2020 try the front lifter mod and 3 point drawbar hitch mod on the back of the Sugarcane Harvester, I'm pulling the 66500L Sugarcane semi behind it now with the BSM dolly
You make this look so EASY! Only, it's anything but. The arm on the cane harvester never seems long enough to center over my trailer, which is not red in color but that orange Colossus piece of crap. Thus, much of the cane is shooting onto the ground. Then when I come to the end of a row, I either get in the way of the harvester or it gets in my way. Really clunky set up if you ask me. Where are these sleek red trailers I can attach in tandem? Or are you using some special mod I don't know about? I totally regret I grew this cane.
Also for the Sugarcane Harvesters, the tail should be 90 degree for it to pull larger trailers when attached rather than the small only ones for the 45 degree in the base game.
The case sugarcane harvester is a joke, how can they even release it. The worker does not work, after all the effort to set up for it, im pissed it is so buggy
I’m not hating but explaining that you need to cultivate is quite weird cus everyone that is gonna do sugarcane has cultivated before so it should be self-explanatory...🤣🤣
Actually, you don’t need to cultivate the field before planting sugarcane
One of the agroliner tippers hook up to the back of the harvester 👍 so you can drive it yourself too the 21,000 l one with swivel axle
Love It!
We need a large trailer that works with the self propelled harvester lol.
There are a lot now.
@@Obi117kh which ones?

I only found (thanks to some Reddit post) the Lizard Auger Master. Bonus: it's an auger wagon.
Thanks, I have always wanted to see a demo on this crop

Cool review No one else is showing how sugar cane is done .

Just an FYI. Root crops and sugar cane can be dumped into your own silos if you have extensions added to the main silo.
Where do you get that

Can autodrive empty randon trailers or any sugarcane trailers?
Not enough money in sugar cane I learned the hard way 😂
You ain't wrong!
Patrick M I learned that in fs17 I felt so stupid for buying the platinum edition
What map is this?
@@mateisotcan4128 Estanica Lapacho. You can find it in the ModHub.
I was about to ask the same question 💵
Is that a dedicated map for sugarcane
Will it work with the season mods will that work with season mods

2:10 tractor suffered without weight xd
Super helpful, I’ve been reluctant to try sugar cane in 17 and 19 but now that I’ve watched this I certainly will give it a shot!
I think this is new in fs19
What is gravity bins???
Cultivation is not necessary with the 2 row sugarcane planter. It may work as a plow as well but I have not tested that.

Can you tell me more about the perks with the number ship please.
I planted in late spring and I'm now in early fall and it still isn't up?
👍👍 double thumbs up dj keep it up
Why you dont use sugar cane semi truck instead of this 28000L trailers?
fantastic vid thanks for the tips
Cheers DJ, needed a refresher course 👍
Well done. We’re do you get your mods from? You do great reviews. Thanks
Great video as always DJ
I use the big sugar cane trailers on my forage harvester works great hire a worker and it's set to go only downfall is you have to stop and empty it
Thanks I never knew you needed to fertilise twice
#GoHamFam thanks for the video DJ this really helps a lot.
That’s awesome, many thanks DJ.
Can anyone tell me what cultivator he is using
Can you use sugarcane for silage?
Snoberry no
@@Lucas_norman What a shame. They use it for silage IRL.
I did sugarcane once. I will not be doing it again! Took way too long. 😅
malacite1 right. even a small field takes forever
I done a 7 hectare field and it was a mistake
@@270Winchester i was planning on doing a 100 hectare field. Just to know how much I'll get.

#GoHamFan Thanks very much for the tutorial it helps me now im going to start a sugar cane farm
Making this video made me want to start one too! =)
It would be cool it they added a sugar mill on a Australian map so you can drive sugar cane trains
#goham buddy !! Thanks for the look see into sugar cane!!
do you make good money in this?
why does my worker not go forward in my self propelled cutter? he just sits there. and i wait with my wagon.
you don't need to cultivate before planting sugar cane, just use the sugar cane planter

pro tip here behind swt7 use 66500l trailer
i have learned soo much from this video thx Dj #gohamfam
why is long vehicle written in Portuguese?
Omg been doing it the hard way driving next to the harvester with a 70k litre trailer/rig
They definetly should make sugarcane harvester with bigger Width for faster harvesting and same for planting them in the mod menu.
Also for the Sugarcane Harvesters, the tail should be 90 degree for it to pull larger trailers when attached rather than the small only ones for the 45 degree in the base game.
Well in real life the harvesters are still only 2 rows.
yes thanks bro
Actually if you have the multi fruit silo you can store sugarcane.
This is true, Yes! Didn't think about it!
Doesn’t the big sugar cane harvester have a trailer hitch that can tow trailers and unload the sugarcane in the trailer
I hooked up 9857 sugercane trailers lol
Sugar Cane can be planted without cultivating nor other.
Do not rinse and plant.
Ur the best
Map?
So literally the scenario that makes the most sense to have an auger wagon, and you can't even use it...
Thank you do you DJ I knew I could count

growing up in a region that's predominantly sugar cane the lack of cane trains in this game is a bit of a let down.
