Same, I subscribed and am hoping to watch some of his streams because of it!
I also feel bad for disliking his Saint Louis Chess Club video demanding justice for agadmator. This guy is a trooper! I had to go back and change it to a like.

his diary: Not everyone involved in/observing a situation understands it fully. In a situation like SLCC/agadmator, it gets very complicated legally, since it might not be clear which photographer took which picture, what permissions are involved, and which country's laws apply where. (It also gets complicated when a system like UA-cam employs, which is totally broken and unfairly favors the prosecution gets involved. Probably a discussion for another time and place.) When one party has a legal team with the philosophy/instructions of "protect as much as possible and the overreaches will correct themselves" (which is common in media industries, unfortunately) and the other comes from a part of the world where American copyright laws often are not respected it can be difficult to sort out facts from assumptions. I still haven't learned enough facts in this case to pick a side (and I'm not sure I care enough, given how crazy people have been being), so I'm trying to be as unbiased as I can by attempting to understand both sides' perspectives.
Eric seems like a really nice guy and a reasonably well-informed person. (He also works for SLCC, so he's going to be biased, but also potentially have inside information.) He's a nice, relaxing way to learn more about chess. That said, it's not required to like or dislike everything about a person uniformly. Like what you agree with/like and disagree with the other stuff. It doesn't mean that you have to ignore all the stuff you like about someone when they come down strongly on the other side of an issue you've decided on. People can't be experts at everything.
