It's designed and tested to be in that direction. It creates a vortex and gold drops of in the riffles. Sand and rocks wash out not the gold.. if it were reversed it would catch to much gravel and not work right.

That claim is too nice for a gpaa claim. Like the husker claim by deadwood, all gpaa claims have been dug to death and not reclaimed.
You should reverse your mat in the bucket so you don't lose gold..I love the black hills
