The problem with Greg mentioning for someone to take a verse to his/her pastor to explain, is not a good idea. To keep this person in the church all the pastor is going to do is put his spin on that verse. Now the credibility lies between Greg and the pastor. It's a tough deal for sure. I'm so sorry for the indivdual who is believing in new testament lies. Shalom. You guys are doing a great job! Praise HaShem!

So what manuscripts are the "good Hebrew bibles" based on? The Masoretic text? From the approx 9th century? The Dead sea scrolls? There are credible bible scholars that claim that the Masoretic text has been changed by the Jews. While I certainly believe that Christian translators have changed some of the Hebrew verses to reflect what they want them to as far as the Messiah, it seems that there are questions also about the veracity of the "Hebrew bible".

    • @User-x5s3x
      @User-x5s3x 5 місяців тому

      The approved Hebrew/English
Tanachs that many of us use are the "Stone Edition TANACH", and the "Koren Edition TANACH".
When God gave us His words at Mt. Sinai, He specifically told us that those words are ETERNAL (i.e STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!) and that we are NOT to follow ANY OTHER teaching than what is in those Hebrew scriptures. This means that Christianity, and it's "NT" absolutely did NOT come from God.
The fact that God told us that His words are ETERNAL, tells us that He PRESERVED those words, right up to the PRESENT day!
Does this make any sense to you?? If you are TRULY seeking His Truth, the more you listen to what the Rabbis have to say about what God actually said to us at Mt. Sinai (as commanded by God in Deut. 17:8-11) the more sense the Hebrew Bible will make, and the less sense Christianity will make, as thousands of us who have already left various denominations of Christianity, have learned.

I listened to the debate the two fellows had with McLatchie, and my initial impression was that it was a bit of a mess…on both sides. What I mean by that is that I felt (my impression) that McLatchie was talked over and interrupted (and I’m a William/Greg fan). There was no proper back and forth…and nothing on either side was accomplished...no one advancing the ball in any direction so to speak. Perhaps a moderator was needed…I don’t know. Listening to today’s broadcast, I understand that the segment was edited and why it had to be. I took McLatchie's silence at the end as being frustrated with being interrupted.
I have an opinion that will positively support William, Greg, and McLatchie, but first I’d like to mention that there should be rules of order in a debate/conversation, which should still be adhered to even with time constraints.
    In the Clementine Literature, the Jewish Nazarene Apostle Peter was going to debate the “Gnostic, and I would say the originator of Pauline Christianity” Simon Magus, in a public forum. Peter tries to lay out the need for orderly debate and the importance of keeping decorum. These principles may be Jewish (as Peter was a Jew), so, have a read and see if it makes sense. These principles should be kept by anyone wanting to have a proper debate….letting the people/listeners be the judge. Peter is already in the previous chapter, laying the groundwork for a peaceful debate…and he continues;
    • Clementines Recognitions Book 2: Chapter 25: The Principles on Which the Discussion Should Be Conducted.
Peter continued; “For some, in the contest of debates, when they see that their errors are confuted, immediately they begin to create a disturbance and to stir up strife for the sake of making good their retreat, so that it may not be obvious to all that they are defeated. Therefore, I ask that the subjects to be discussed are done so in their proper order, and with all patience and quietness, so that if by chance anything seems to have been misspoken, it may be allowed to be gone back over and explained more distinctly. For there are times when someone says something which is clear to themselves, but it is completely misheard by the other party, either because it was not stated clearly to begin with, or the statement was not properly explained. And it is on this account that I would like our conversation to be conducted carefully so that neither one of us can snatch it away from the other, nor should the unseasonable speech of the one contradicting interrupt the speech of the other, and that we should not cherish the desire of finding fault, but that we should be allowed, as I have said, to go over again that which may have not been spoken clearly, so that by the fairest examination, the knowledge of the truth may be ascertained. For we should know, that if anyone is conquered by the truth, it is not he that is conquered, but the ignorance which is in him, which is the worst of all demons, so that he who can drive it out receives the palm of salvation. For it is our purpose to benefit the hearers, not that we may conquer badly, but that we may be well conquered for the acknowledgment of the truth. For if our speech is actuated by the desire of seeking the truth, even though we should speak anything imperfectly through human frailty, God in His unspeakable goodness will fill up secretly in the understanding of the hearers those things that are lacking. For God is righteous, and according to the purpose of everyone, He enables some to easily find what they seek, while others He obscures that which is placed before their eyes. Since, then, the way of God is the way of peace, let us with peace seek the things which are God's. If anyone has anything to advance in answer to this, let him do so, but if no one wishes to answer, I will begin to speak and bring forward what another may object to me, and he will have his chance to refute it.”
So, my advice….and it would be interesting to see, that the discussions with McLatchie (or any others), might be dedicated to one subject per segment….in that way, there is an “on point” main subject to be focused on…and no side tracks. Rabbit holes are what bog down the discussion…both sides should be given time to prepare and defend the subject to be discussed.
This is not a knock on the show, but, I think it would make it run much more smoothly. Perhaps an uninterrupted point…for approx 3 mins, an uninterrupted counter point approx 3 min, and so on. Question asked… uninterrupted reply…. follow-up question…reply, etc. The next weeks…the same process. In my opinion worth a cup of beans.

I do not agree with McLatchie's opinion on probably most of what he would have to offer (the Paulinist position). I do not know if he himself is an anti-semitic as I hadn't heard him say that he was in my brief listens to. I know many Paulinists are anti-semitic as they have been taught to be, and many are not as they are taught to be, and if it is the case that he is anti-Semitic, then, I'll call it ignorance on his or anyone else's part in that endeavor.
But, whether he is anti-semitic or not, it does not matter in the proper debate order I included in my initial statement. The goal should be to educate and not so much to conquer.

“We have already discussed why Mashiach ben Yosef must die. How he will die is not exactly clear. What will bring him to his death? It appears that Mashiach ben Yosef will be sold out by his own people. This is what happened to one of the earliest prototypes of Mashiach ben Yosef: the Biblical judge Shimshon (Samson).

Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. *Let them turn to the Lord,* and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will *freely pardon.* (!!!!)
      *Ezekiel 18:21*
“But if a wicked person *turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right,* that person will surely live; they will not die.
*Repentance and returning to G-D's law atones:*

If you want to believe there is another God besides God great. If you want to believe there is a God of light and a God of darkness great. If you want to believe Satan tempted God great. If you want to believe God had to die inorder to forgive great. Just one thing. Take those believes to a channel that wil listen. There we don't believe In your many gods.

@sitresjolie2343 please repent of living in a dream world and thinking that just obeying the laws will save you from hell....No one has ever kept all of the laws, especially the israelites. Please read Jeremiah and you will see how evil the israelites were. They even sacrificed their own children to the false God's they were worshipping...They even killed there children and ate them, they became cannibals...God called them prostitutes...two times God said he hated Israel, Hosea and Jeremiah will tell you all about it...they refused to repent of their own idolatry...That is why they were punished for 70 years...then when Messiah Yeshua came they rejected him...some did not...pilot said, I wash my hands of this man's blood, the Jews then said, his blood be on us and our children...nothing like cursing your own children...BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW NO MAN WILL BE JUSTIFIED...WHAT PLEASED GOD WAS TO CAUSE YESHUA TO SUFFER FOR PEOPLE'S SIN...ISAIAH 53...HE IS THEE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER IN HEAVEN, PERIOD...

Really? It must have left me when I started questioning Paul then, that’s what led me to the investigation of my Faith. There’s lots of contradictions. Did you know most missionaries end up leaving the Faith after trying to convert a Jew? They find out the TRUTH is what happens to them.

It’s all well and good that the sacrifices in Eze 40-48 are found in Ezekiel, but, how does one square up that the Book of Ezekiel almost did not make it into the lineup of the Tanach? How does it square up that of ALL of the rabbinic scholars at the time, who were going to drop Ezekiel, that it took the herculean effort of ONE single dedicated Rabbi to keep the Book of Ezekiel in the lineup…Not my words….but as found in the Talmud….
    - Shabbat 13b: …Rav Yehuda said that Rav said: Truly, that man is remembered for the good, and his name is Ḥananya ben Ḥizkiya, as if not for him, the book of Ezekiel would have been suppressed because its contents, in many details, contradict matters of Torah. The Sages sought to suppress the book and exclude it from the canon. What did he, Ḥananya ben Ḥizkiya, do? They brought him three hundred jugs of oil, for light and food, up to his upper story, and he sat isolated in the upper story and did not move from there until he homiletically interpreted all of those verses in the book of Ezekiel that seemed contradictory, and resolved the contradictions….
To me, the reference means that they (the sages) were going to Drop Ezekiel. Why? Because it had a lot of discrepancies.
One lone Rabbi (R. Hananiah), burning 300 jugs of the midnight oil…with food brought to him so he could concentrate on his work…..by himself, resolved all of the issues the other Rabbi’s had with the discrepancies found in Ezekiel….One guy alone saved Ezekiel. If anyone has a list of all of the resolvences issued by R. Hananiah, I would like to see it, but I haven’t been able to find it. It’s like; R. Hananiah resolved the issues, but no one knows what the resolvences were….only that he did it…topic; closed.
    R. Hananiah on his own saved Ezekiel… It’s almost like the “sole” author of Christianity (Paul) wrote something that a lot of people accepted as being divinely inspired…..but perhaps wasn’t so much? I’m not picking on the total book of Ezekiel…only the chapters involving sacrifices (which really don’t square up with the list of Mosaic sacrifices).
Was R. Hananiah the 10th man?

You said; "What explanation do you need?"
My reply: Why were 99% of the Rabbis at the time, going to cut Ezekiel from the canon, and only 0.01% (a single rabbi) supported it? What were the verses he used (or explanation) to "resolve" the opinion of the 99%?
You said: "It was included which neand its scripture."
My reply: I don't know what that means.
You said; "What issue do you have with the sacrifices?"
My reply: That "blood" and animal sacrifices were the cause of both the 1st and 2nd Temple being destroyed on the same day, and that when the next Temple is rebuilt, and "blood" and animal sacrifices begin again...the same will happen.
The Nazarenes (Jesus and the 12 legit Apostles) understood the issue with the "bloodletting" sacrifices, therefore they did not participate in the practice. Jesus warned the Jews of the consequences of the "blood" and animal sacrifices and it came to pass. What is going to prevent it from happening again? Ans...in the Messianic Kingdom age...there will be no animal sacrifices.

Sacrifices will absolutely continue but only in relation to unintentional sin.
      Isaiah 56:7
7 I will bring them to My holy mount, and I will cause them to rejoice in My house of prayer, their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be acceptable upon My altar, for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
      Isaiah 60:7
7All the sheep of Kedar shall be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall serve you; they shall be offered up with acceptance upon My altar, and I will glorify My glorious house.
      Malachi 3:3-4
3And he shall sit refining and purifying silver, and he shall purify the children of Levi. And he shall purge them as gold and as silver, and they shall be offering up an offering to the Lord with righteousness.
4And then the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem shall be pleasant to the Lord, as in the days of old and former years.
      Zechariah 14:21
21Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the Lord of Hosts, and all who sacrifice will come and take of them and cook in them; and there will no longer be a trafficker in the House of the Lord of Hosts on that day.
This is because of the following.
      Ezekiel 36
24👉For I will take you from among the nations and gather you from all the countries👈, and I will bring you to your land.
25👉👉👉👉👉👉👉And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you will be clean; from all your impurities and from all your abominations will I cleanse you. 👈👈👈👈👈👈
26And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
      👇
27And I will put My spirit within you and bring it about that 👉you will walk in My statutes and you will keep My ordinances and do [them].👈

Because the will to intentionally sin will be eradicated!

@@D18.21 I appreciate the verses. Quick questions....Do you identify yourself with Judaism? If so, do you believe in a resurrection of the righteous righteous dead to live in the future Messianic Kingdom age? If so, is the body raised in a purified (refined) state? Does the soul reunite with the body at the resurrection to physically enter the Messianic Kingdom age? If so, is the righteous soul that reunites with the body in a purified (refined) state? If so, does a purified resurrected formerly righteous person, in the Messianic Kingdom age, will they be spiritually enhanced by the Holy Spirit? Would a righteous, spiritually enhanced person be in need of a "blood" sacrifice? Or, a sacrifice of any kind? Because of an unknown or unintentional sin? That kind of goes against being resurrected spiritually and physically and being enhanced with the Holy Spirit. Why does God need a sacrifice if the sin is unintentional anyway? Couldn't God simply absolve it?
I can see perhaps a grain, food, or money sacrifice....but a "blood" or animal sacrifice.....especially with the vegetarian disposition men and animals will have in the Messianic Kingdom age....why a "blood" or animal sacrifice (burnt or otherwise), that's primitive.
Mosaic sacrifices were intended to keep the Israelites from sacrificing to the gods of the other nations. The golden calf incident and Balaam's causing some of the Israelites to be seduced into idol worship and sacrifice are prime examples of why Moses instituted the sacrificial system. The sacrificial system was a temporary means to retrain the Israelites because the Egyptianized Israelites became used to sacrificing to the gods of Egypt...Moses designed them temporarily, with the intent that they would be removed by the future prophet "like unto Moses". Jesus removed the "blood" and animal sacrifices, as Moses intended, but, the Jews refused to listen... they were still stuck in the "blood" animal sacrificial mode, even with the Temple destruction warning that Jesus gave concerning them. Jesus replaced the "blood" and animal sacrifices with "water baptism" for the remission of sins to the same effect.
