@@ContractorGrowthNetwork Question though: should a personal page then just be more focused on business postings? Common sense says steer clear of things like politics or other controversial issues, but just how professional should a personal FB page be?
Excellent question. Seems like you’re on the right track. I don’t want to tell you what you can and cannot post because it’s different for everyone, the important things to remember are: -people buy from people (so them seeing who you are and posting personal things about your family/life can help to build trust) -controversial posts can limit your reach (no matter what side you post about, you’ll offend the other, but that’s alright IF that’s intrinsic to who you are and what your brand stands for, that’s sharing your values)
@@ContractorGrowthNetwork Great, thank you! That all makes sense. Usually it's just an occasional pic of my kiddos or memes about parenting and being an elder millenial :)
This is very helpful, the only reason I use FB us to promote my business, while at the same time I want to retain my privacy. Seems that's a strategy in conflict.
Hey Logan, I can't locate the link to your other content you mentioned regarding the FB posts. Can you re-publish that link? I sure appreciatre your input! Thanks! Bob
I have 1 year experience of selling software and was thinking of helping my dad’s home renovation business (tiling, flooring, painting, masonry). In order to sell these services do I need to have experience myself working in the construction business? Because I don’t understand the equipment or technical aspect. Also is door to door sales a good approach in construction to find clients?
Hey Ali, no you don't need construction experience in order to sell it! All you need to do is be able to show people a vision of how their life could be improved with your services. We don't recommend door to door sales as it's not time efficient. Door hangers, yard signs, facebook, social media, direct mail are all going to be better options

Thanks for this video! I never considered that my personal FB profile would be that integral to my business page.
Here to help, Amanda!

/sigh... and I thought it was a good idea to hide as much of my personal FB as I could from my clients... back to the drawing room
It’s all about the process, Levi! What are your thoughts on it now?
