Netflix should have just given money to Watanabe/Bandai to make more anime episodes. Or went after a spiritual successor. The live action was never going to work. Utmost respect to Keanu. I feel like he was dedicated to the adaptation he was tied to. The interview with John Cho was painful.
This was a super interesting video, it's such a shame to see such a dedicated team fall away from the potential film, very bittersweet to imagine what could have been!! Loved your presentation as usual, too - skilful and entertaining script writing, and fab sound mixing. Keep it up!!
Good video. I do disagree that creatives claiming they're big fans of the show doesn't always lead to a good product. For example, Zack Snyder was a huge fan of Watchmen and tried to recreate it as much as possible, yet he managed to miss the point and the themes of the story.
You're definitely not wrong! Fan creators don't automatically lead to greatness, and Watchmen is a great example. But by that same token, what ZS put together was infinitely better as Watchmen than what we almost got from Sam Hamm years before.
I think when it comes to anime, they should hire anime fans. That's the problem with Hollywood today. They don't know how anime works, and they are too ignorant or study it. While anime is taking over, making hit after hit. And Hollywood makes movies just to fill some marks on criteria. We live in a world where Mario beats Disney

When you realise the ending of John Wick 4 is literally the ending of cowboy bebop
damn never knew about it
Polished video, hope the algorithm picks it up
Much appreciated, and thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for checking it out! I've really been trying hard to get the audio better in these, glad it's sounding good!
When you realize that John Wick since the first film is basically a remixed version of cowboy bebop.
Featuring Willem Dafoe as Shin
@@MonitorLizardTV and we also have a Jett and Faye analogue there.
So we need John Wick in space. With Machete cameo maybe

It’s funny coming here after seeing Netflix do an acclaimed anime adaptation.
Good to see you back. I've never heard about this topic before until now. Thanks for covering it

Btw, anime never had problems learning from classic cinema.
"Anime has learned from cinema but cinema refuses to learn from anime" is actually a shockingly salient point
came from a link on reddit, good shit
Thanks for giving it a shot!
I still vite for them to make this before kanue gets older and can't do the stuff bcs I'm invested in this what could have been 😭

Keanu Reeves would NEVER be able to interpret Spike. He lacks the ability to do more facial expressions than blobfish.
You’re so full of shit lol
Watch John Wick, then tell me he can’t act.
