- this is my first video. okay, first things first, I want to say something about mr Barrow. At first season I disliked him intensely, but season two have changed my mind. After what he's been through, he became a different person. Honestly, he’s my favorite character in DA ❤️

Even when Barrow tried to be less nasty, Carson really forced him into old ways. Carson was pretty nasty to him, never letting him feel like his place at Downton was secure.

The thing is everyone knew he was gay even back in season 1. When Daisy had a crush on him in season 1, Patmore tried to tell Daisy Thomas was gay. Everyone knew both upstairs and downstairs. It just wasn't talked about back in those days, but it's not like people didn't know who was gay.

Even though he was such a jerk to most people, I couldn’t bring myself to completely dislike him, if anything I felt bad for him, I think he was just misunderstood and grew up a tough life with an abusive father, he pushes people away for fear of being hurt by them but really he just wants love and friendship as much as anybody.

I’m gay and I share the same feelings Thomas Barrow had. I had a long depression acknowledging my true character, I couldn’t hold back my feelings to the men I love. I feel isolated from the world like having the greatest sadness in the world but no one to share a word with because no one really understands how you feel not even your closest friends and family. The painful part was that people think it’s a path you’ve chosen and insult you with their religious beliefs or personal perspective. I know deep down I didn’t choose this so call “path”, I’m born this way, and I deserve to be loved and the right to love others.

I cry every time I watch him. I understand what it's like to be rejected by society, so I understand his character. I've done things I regret too. His character is amazing, he is so brave to continue on despite everything.
It's getting a lot better now for gays to come out and find love. I would say a lot of "incels" probably feel the same way.

It broke my heart when he attempted suicide. The signs were there though that he suffered a depression and suicide thoughts.

Thomas had so much chemistry with Courtenay, the blind soldier. Their connection was so real that I was hoping there would be a longer story for them. Even though Courtenay's sexuality was never explicitly stated, I'm pretty sure that what they had was mutual.

I'm so estatic that uncle Thomas finally met a really sweet, caring guy like Mr Ellis. It sucks that they can't be together much coz he is after all the King's Royal dresser but it gave me a lot of hope.
I hope their relationship is explored further in the 2nd movie. I am certain they will write to each other often and even if Thomas finds another love interest(coz I think Mr Ellis will be too busy travelling n such) I hope they still remain good frnds and share each other's burden
I swear to God just let Thomas have a healthy, close boyfriend even if it's unrealistic with that era(tho they do deviate often with stuff).
The worst thing of every bad thing was purposely getting shot in the hand to get out of the war. He gave away his regiment's position to the enemy. Just to get sent home.
