My freshmen year of high school. Silverstein is all I ever listened to. So many good memories. I normally don't listen to this style of music, but there's just something about Silverstein,, My Herione and Smile In Your Sleep.

Shane's screams got a little better from first to second album. Silverstein is repsonsible for getting me into this genre with nastyy breakdowns, brutal screams mixed with the right amount of clean vocals. No band does it better and no fucking way have they sold out!

@TheMircast Having screaming doesn't make a band screamo. Most post hardcore has some screaming. However, 30 Seconds to Mars, Escape the Fate, From First to Last (title album), From First to Last, (now) Hawthorne Heights, MCR, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Taking Back Sunday, and others use screaming maybe three times in an entire album at most, usually less, almost always at the climax if used. Bring Me the Horizon and Metalica and Silverstein are all of differnet genres that include screaming.
@TheMircast screamo post hardcore is like old hardcore gone off with some more emo, metal, and alternative aspects. A lot of post hardcore doesn't include screaming. None of the major bands with screaming are actually sceamo besides Blood Brothers (who are actually pretty gnarly). Woke up hungover at another friends house. We went skinny dipping in the day time. Tried wrestling my friends dog, I got bit. Went to the hospital, whacked off like 20 times in an hour. Later that week, drove to taco bell, then crashed the car into my buddies mailbox. Had to pay a shit amount of money to his parents for the damages.

In this particular song he is talking about this girl and how he see's her depressed, then the lyrics would indicate it was his fault (him say what he was supposed to do instead of what he did etc)

It's funny. I really used to like Silverstein a few years ago when I kind of wished that I could relate to lots of their songs. Two years later, I find myself in a situation where i can relate to these songs. I really wish I could say that I couldn't relate them. It isn't a good feeling.

music is way better then cutting yourself. even crying is. i can understand why you do it. i got friends that cut themself, but if u feel like cutting yourself. don't. List'n to the music, feel the energy bursting from it. and forget the thought that cutting is also an option.
