As a lead AJ is wonderful to watch - he's just so joyful! So inspiring.

Thanks a lot for slowing down the speed of the video and using the arrows to explain what you're saying. It makes it easier for the learner to follow.

One of the few things the UA-cams can do, that a live class can't!

I met with a friend today to practice these variations, and it mostly worked great. The S-turn into hacksaws was not quite smooth yet for us though. As the leader, I try to catch her right hand in my left after the turn. But when I try to lead it forward for the counter body movement it seems like I stop her movement very abruptly, as with her counter-clockwise rotation, her hand is moving the opposite way before I catch it. Any ideas to make this smoother? Should she have a less stiff frame here? Tips for my leading? Thanks again for sharing these variations :)

It's hard for me to diagnose through text. My best guess is to focus on the timing, and for both you and your partner to really latch into that cross body movement between the arms and the legs.
Some good insurance that I've been told about is keeping the L left / F right hand hold during the turn, so you don't have to worry about reconnecting. Try that out!
