Headed over to the other side of the bay for some fishing at the Eden Naval Wharf and what a terrific morning session it was. I managed to land 5 different species, including what I believe is my first Mulloway. Enjoy! - Спорт
Great session Larry. Always great to catch a new species and a multi-species day
Thanks Sean and its nice those Mulloway are in the bay, they can get well over 3ft and near 100 pounds, now that would be a fun catch!
You found the Honey Hole!..nonstop action and multiple species is always a great day!.. 👍👊
It was a great morning of fishing, love days like that. Thanks for watching!
Looked gorgeous until the wind showed up. Still, a couple catches of a new species and those beautiful bay views can't be beat. Well done Larry👍
Thanks and agree, love the views and can't complain about a day like that when their biting.
What a gorgeous morning out there Larry. And the fishing was amazing!! As always great video 👍👍
Thanks, had a great time, just love days like this one.
Chicken is such a versatile bait. I love using it in fresh and salt water. Just about all target species will take it. Looks like a spectacular day out there on the bay. A lovely place to be. Congrats on the Soapy Jews. Yep, they were Mulloway. Great session on them! Not big, but fun. You might find night fishing more productive for the big fellas. Shame you lost the big one before seeing it, must have been a good sized toadfish. Always a toadfish...
Yep, big toadfish LOL It was good that it was open, its been closed for awhile. Love the view from over there and have always done well fishing there. Not sure its open after dark, but something to look into for future reference. Thanks for watching and helping with the ID on those fish. Cheers!
Hey Larry , what a nice morning to be fishing. Windy! But you did well. A nice variety of species, and you got a lot of fish.
Thanks Dan, always nice to be busy when out and cool to catch something new.
Great day,s fishing Larry, Eden is such an amazing fishery, you never know what’s coming up next.
Makes for a bit of excitment when heading out, just never know what you'll catch. Thanks for watching!!!
Good fishing Larry and congrats on the new species! I also agree with you that it's not a video until you drop a fish lol.
So very true, sad, but true LOL Thanks!
Good work mate. Great fun when the fish are on the chew
Thanks, always fun when you have days like this.
Awesome multi species action Larry ! Those people did leave just a little too early. Congrats on all the mulloway! New PB! Bummer about the break off. I know the knot wasn't good but still looked like it could have been a good fish. Great video 👊
I believe it was a Salmon or Tailor and they could have bitten through the line. Had a great time out there and can't believe those people caught nothing, but it happens. Thanks as always for watching Jared!
What a beautiful day, and a great location for fishing. Certainly a mixed bag of fish species that you caught. Pity you dropped the big one earlier.
That knot was something new and clearly didn't hold correctly, but that was about the only negative on a real good morning over on the other side of the bay. Thanks for watching Luke!
Beautiful morning , just can't beat it !
Thanks Larry
How about trying a bigger bait and hook with one pole ? i'm sure you know those waters !
Hey Eric, actually had a 3rd rod with live bait, but had just 1 hit on that the whole morning. I really should show more of things I try that aren't successful. I'll keep that in mind for future vids. Thanks as always for the feedback and appreciate you watching this one. Take care!
@@LarrysFishing great Larry , i knew this wasn't your first rodeo
Well done! I've never caught a mulloway. It's high on my to do list
I was surprised to catch my first one there, thought it might be at the river mouth, but I'll take it. Thanks and hopefully you get on one soon!
In my comment to Larry, I gave some tips if you are interested 👍
Yep, little Jewie 👍🏼 (Mulloway)
Thanks Wayne!
Nice day and wow that pier looks long. I’ve never caught a mulloway so not help in ID those small fish
It is a good hike to the end, has to be at least 300 metres to the end. I wasn't sure when I caught them myself, but with the help of others they were Mulloway, but very small ones.
Looks like a Mulloway to me, its has a flat tail, where a Teraglin has a tail simular to siver perch. Awesome...
Having not caught either, I was stumped when looking at pics, but those Teraglin aren't really supposed to be this far south according to NSW Fisheries content. Didn't notice that about the tail, so that is good to know in the future. Thanks Brett!
Hello my dear friend, OMG very Beautiful video😍🎣🎣🐟🐟🐟👍🏻💝
Thank you very much
Found the Mulloway nursery mate
Yeah, was really hoping my first would be much larger, but maybe next time. Thanks!
With the 2 mulloway a better still shot of its profile would be better, im not convinced it's a mulloway
Yeah, should of taken a photo. Thanks for the help and appreciate you watching!
There is 2 platforms that go down to the water last time I went one was closed… are they both open now?
The other is still closed
@@LarrysFishing ohh that’s a shame, I’m coming down to Eden soon and was hoping the other side was open to fish off. Are the Taylor still biting around there?
Wait until you see THE BIG JEWIE i got on my light gear mate, 4lb line was a scary fight, unfortunately i had the GoPro malfunction though...
Where this is small jewies there are big ones mate, so if you can get a yakka now is the time to send it down live with a sinker to keep it down on the bottom.
Only a matter of time before a bigger ine shows uo now, the jewies aka mulloway are just starting to move up the system, so keep fishing that spot a bit, another awesome bait is a bigg fillet from a mullet like a good 25cm fillet.
They are a schooling fish so when you catch one, there are usually a few there with them, just like the small ones.
Make sure that drag isn't too tight a meter jewfish will probably snap you off if you fight it to hard, just let it do its runs and then slowly get some line back when it stops.
Fingers crossed for you on a bigger model soon, right now would definitely be a good time to try a night video if you get time, the bigger ones do hang around in the day as well but i feel on bait the bigger ones are mainly caught at night... Definitely dont let that stop you from trying for a big one in the day though.
If i were a betting man, i would put money on a live bait, over dead bait during the day.
At night either bait will work just as well, from all i have ever seen and learnt about the species.
The biggest tip, work out exactly when in the tide you caught them, assuming it was close to the peak maybe 2hrs before?
That's usually a good time to target them 👍
Cool, thanks for the tips!
@@LarrysFishing hope to see a big one on the end of your line soon mate
We call the little ones soapies because they taste like soap, when they get big they lose that taste.
That wouldn't be a nice taste LOL Thanks for letting me know, its greatly appreciated.
I think small Teraglin
You may be right, had a look online and they look similar!
