I remember when Activision-Blizzard put a memorial for a deceased coworker in WoW and everyone was touched by that. Today they can´t even give a honorable mention to the creator of a literally unique gun they use in their game. ... Yeah, i know why i got rid of my account.
That's kinda unfair and also inaccurate since Activision is only the publisher and not the developer. Why would you be upset anyway when even the creator of the gun doesn't mind and thinks it's cool... unless you just decided to be mad before even thinking about it for two seconds. I'm all for hating on Activision but this is just not valid. Some overworked Sledgehammer Games developer thought a .50 BMG AK would be a fun addition to the game and didn't think much more of it, if anything it drew even more attention to Brandon's gun being in the game. The developers for the multiplayer seem to still give a shit about making the game fun despite the initial reception of the game.
@@Shinransa i´m not upset, i´m annoyed. This is just another nail in the coffin of AB´s reputation. I can not agree with the fun argument when they went out of their way to make it "legally distinct" to the point of not even calling it an AK, which also defeats the advertisement part.
@@Shinransa The publisher still has the bigger say than the developer, plus this was done VERY close to when Brandon actually unveiled the AK-50, like suspiciously close. Brandon can say that he would have been fine with them using it but here's the thing "it doesn't hurt to fucking ask anyway" don't just assume someone's going to be ok with you using what's very clearly their gun even if you use the creative freedom to try and alter it so it's not a direct 1/1 copy for legal reasons. People would have more respect towards Activision in this case if that's something they did versus just assuming the owner was ok with it in the first place.
@@Tyarrk The coffin was buried a long time ago though. I'm at a point where I just don't care anymore but I usually take the dev side of thing first after hearing what happened during MW3's development. As for the naming thing, it's apparently a Californian law that doesn't allow them to portray the real guns, that's what I've heard at least.
that is cod in all its glory now which is sad to me i loved cod but once they start stealing things and start ripping things away from us fans even ones from 2004 that is where they draw the final line for me so that is why i hate them and do not play these newer modern games as much anymore and stick to playing offline in every game of cod's now
@@jupitergaming5146 still cod takes inspiration from things but if you ask them about it they say that it was not and they took everything form the actually weapon itself because i think it was mw 3 season 2 or something and i remember asking them how they got this so called gun in there game as in the real p90 but named something stupid and they said they basically stole it from the company that makes the gun so cod is not taking inspiration for anything only stealing it
