Your tassels are very pretty. I have several journals ready to sew in the signatures. I have no tassels yet, so your video is exactly what I need soon. I just went through my small to medium small ribbons, lace, and trims and separated them for tassels.

Hi Melinda~I've been watching you for quite awhile~I don't always leave comments~but I should. :) Thank you for showing us how to do the tassels. I'm anxious to try them. The last journal ~black one~that you put the tassel on~do you have a video showing how you made that journal? The cover was different than I've ever seen before. Also, how do you make the seam binding crinkle? There is so much to learn! Blessings....
The black journal is one I ordered. So I didn’t make the cover of that one. The inserts go in around elastic bands. I ordered those too. That’s a traveler’s notebook.
For crinkled seam binding, I just whad it up into a ball and place it under a heavy book for a while. 😁

Not yet! But I need to do that! I love that look but I have never put button on a spine. But you never know what I'll do next so stay tuned! 😍
You make this so complicated. LAY it down, eye ball the center and tie. It's shabby, the more rangy it looks the better

I made these just like you made yours when I was in Junior High around 1972. I hung it off the top of my binder and all my girlfriends had to have one also. My mother thought it was great that I had started a new trend and I had girls I didn’t even know asking if they could buy them from me. So I started a little business and sold them for $5.00. It was so much fun seeing my craft everywhere at school. Everything old becomes new again!
