Chris, I am a musician/dyslexic which is how I found my first videos and books about being a better magician. My whole life I was told “you’re such a natural musician” and I always thought “ damn I worked my ass off to be as mediocre as I am”. You explaining the whole “magicians are just very dexterous with their hands” but really it’s hours of unseen hard and sometimes painful practice really resonated with me. I appreciate you and all you do for the magic community and understanding of the human condition. Thank you.
I love your take on the gentleman selling his trick. Purchasing his trick would be a great introduction into the world of magic because it offers a peek behind the magic curtain. Yes, you now know how the "magic works." But you also figure out really quickly that know how a trick is done and doing said trick are two different things. And that's how true magicians are born.
The snap change from the girl at 6:20 has to be my favorite. It's great to see young people that are interested in magic, especially young women. Plus she can do a frickin snap change better than I can.
My favorite was the absolute mastery of the svengali. The banter plays perfectly with the motion and moves. It is a beginner trick, but astonishingly difficult to master. Just shows that even the simplest tricks are beautiful when executed at a high level.
@@__skullchess__7607 Noob here too. How he knows where something is coming from where I am thinking its still impossible and how "Every Magician" knows something and I think is magical. I feel amazed, inspired and insulted all at the same time. I guess I'm not a magician (: Just an admirer.
I had one of those 7s decks in like 1998. Ironically it came with a set that had a book and I remember trying to learn a sleight for so long from it and never got it. I learned that same sleight from your channel. It’s your favorite sleight for an ambitious card routine according to you.
So the old man trick reminds me of going to the star fair as a kid and being so thrilled with svengali magic. I loved it so much and made my parents buy me things from the shop.
I liked your intro card trick you did, I re-watch it, saw 2 familiar moves (0:16 - 0:19), and I think I'm gonna learn it and fool my friends with it, thanks.
@@Pexodus11 Triumph is cool but my idea is to get the spectator asking to have the cards shuffled into eachother backwards. I imagine it would be a lot of mental gymnastics to achieve this so ill create a new catagory of magic and call it mentalism.
@@Pexodus11 Not gonna spoil the trick but if you watch it closely and pause it where it needs to be paused to notice what is going on, you will then understand everything so you can test it by yourself afterwards.
Recognise that, I designed a trick in the mid 90s that used what you used, won't give spoilers, and a 2nd deck. 2nd deck can be brand new, play the im a psychic madman angle "I will predict the card you will choose... can't change destiny... yadda yadda" The main deck, ruffle down ask them to tell you to stop.. do the "oh you are too slow", do it a bit slower, let them look at their card without me seeing it, split the deck into 2 piles (face up and face down lol) and then put their card face down in the face up side. Let them cut cards, do a cut yourself, card is the only one facing up. And the predicted card you had (stuck in a cigarette box or something) is their card. Chorus of "How did you do that? Show me." etc.
what I love most about a triumph effect is when the cards stick together so their card won't be seen face up :))) breaks the trick into two phases by accident
Thanks for helping me through 2022 with puzzle videos and magic, Chris! Much needed. Have a good break and enjoy your peace and your friends, we'll be here when you're ready in 2023!
Insane!!!!! God keep blessing you Chris Ramsay. Also tell Eric Leclerc his aging BACKWARDS. He looks 20 Christmas Eves younger. Like you an your crew friends all top quality entertainment. 🥳Happy New YEARS TO YOU AN YOUR CREW🥳
The trick you did in the beginning, I have a similar trick that achieves the same outcome, but again is hard to present. When I do pull it off, i get the full on *walks away in disbelief only to walk back saying* HOW DID YOU DO THAT? I have learned a lot from your channel as far as card tricks and techniques as well as being aware of my flash points within those tricks and how to cover them in a way that looks natural. Thanks for the many years of content and here is to Chris Ramsay in 2023!!!
I genuinely think the super easy beginner slop shuffle triumph is one of the best presentations. It's super fooling and is my go to trick at the moment.
Happy New Year to you and all the 1st crew, Chris - thanks for such dope content and I look forward to seeing what you have in store for 2023 🤟 Great video man - it's so cool to see your subreddit still going strong 🔥
Happy New Year from Vegas! I've been busking on Fremont Street for the last year and a half, and your videos keep inspiring me to learn more, especially magic outside of my comfort zone. Keep up the great work! 🎩
About the opening trick, I know of a similar one a friend showed me - except it is done by the spectator behind their back. its amazing to feel like you did magic yourself without knowing it---- and you know the magician never touched it. I'm not sure if this one could be done by instruction.
Dein tip bezüglich den Trick mit der Dose "he shouldn't gave the audience the look inside his mouth, cause it isn't necessary but also nothing that wants to be liked seen" ist top - 'zwischen den Schneidezähnen' - Nice! Ansonsten, selbstredend aber auch der Trick mit der Dose, aber noch mehr der mit den Münzen, oder noch mehr der Opa mit den Karten,...spitzen Auswahl getroffen. Danke vielmals! Hopefully a good year for you, and a lot of good videos for us :) Lg from vienna
4:40 My friend used to go jogging a lot and as a prank he had a shirt made that says "I am a certified bomb technician, if you see me running, try to keep up."
I've learned through years of practicing every slight and movement I know I can agree each slight or move requires new movement/muscles to be worked and built up
my aproach on that first trick, i make up a history about a bet between a drunk guy and a magician, and the drunk guy shuffle the deck in some shity ways
My favorite trick was how the tear in your couch just disappeared. Actually, my screen protector has a chip at the bottom that made your couch look for. Until the camera changed angles. Amazing reparation.
Merry Christmas Chris, love your creative imagination, Happy New Year, all the best regards from here on the West Coast side of Australia 🌏 Batavia Coast 🙏🖖🤟🇦🇺
The dude with the Svengali deck took it to the extreme, less is more with this deck, but maybe not when you're selling. I don't think it's years of effort to do this. The most technical thing were the double lifts which the deck helps with, or maybe the spread is harder. It's a good beginner deck.
I tried doing some card handling a few weeks ago. My fingers just don't work well enough to do what I tried. Doesn't change the fact that I enjoy fiddling with a deck, even if it is just that
Hello Chris! Loved this Best Magic Tricks of 2022! Lots of amazing stuff! I lost count of how many times I went "Woah!" 😳 Great way to finish off this year & bring in da new one! 🎉 🎆 Thank you 👍👍
About the triumph presentation, I always thought David Williamson had a good one. About a drunk heckler who took his deck and shuffled it face up into face down and told him to find his card. I too find it difficult to justify why you'd shuffle the cards like that, but imo this presentation fits perfectly. Been using it ever since I heard it 😅
Yeah i kinda agree with chris but i was just trying to show it was gone like when someone swallows a needle if teller can do it i figured so can i hahaha but i think i’ll follow chris’ advice in future 😂
10:10 I have seen this guy live in Rundle Mall Adelaide, bamboozled as a layman, yes seeing these on youtube but with this I have faith it is as seen live. And yes if knew how it was done, I don't, I would still be in awe, maybe more so.
Hey. Love your content. Quick question. I have small hands. Not like Freakishly small, but definitely smaller then average. Any tips on how to palm or do card tricks that are typically easier with big hands?
Best magic channel this year! I dont have any magic channels🤣 but this channel always has me laughing learning and always amazed dont think i need another channel. Keep em coming man i enjoy every minute. Have a great new years. Peace NYC
It honestly seems fake. Don't know the guy, maybe he is just amazing so no accusation but it LOOKS fake. Like they couldn't have gone to the other hand.
2023 resolution for all magicians outthere.. maybe just stop blowing on your hands when something "magically appears"... your breathe isn't that magical. Your tongue either. Chris made a clear demo here. 😝🤪😜 Happy new year to all! 🥳
The older guys deck that you said sold the tricks was just using the criss angel deck. Yes he did amazing with it but I don't know how people don't remember it
That whiteverse channel coin magician is really crazy. He has got some unusual ideas which are bangers. Mr maher is the magician i love the most . And this video was worthy of a like and share baby
This trick at first is a bit like a tutorial for me. After a few times I'm starting to see what's going on. Of course, if it doesn't introduce any new technique, it's better than a tutorial because it encourages me to figure out how it all works for myself. Gimme more!
Thanks for everything this year! I'm more amped than ever to create dope stories through videos in 2023. Love you
Have a great new year Chris.
Keep being you.
Thank you legend! Happy new year 🎉 take care
And to get to 7mil. Happy new year
Will we see more Future Chris in 2023?

As a noob magician I appreciate Chris talking about all the practice each move takes.
Exactly it's all about how much time you put into it.

I watched that in slow motion and didn't see anything lol. At the end it looked like some of the cards were still face up tho
