This brought back a lot of memories of when I was a kid. My grandma lived in Escondido and she used to take us to that park to play. I was confused because I don't remember that Magical Circle at all....but as I watched, I learned it hadn't been completed yet. Thanks for sharing and providing some nostalgia.
I stayed in San Diego in May 2021 and played disc golf at that park. I encountered one or 2 big snake statues my 2 kiddos loved what we saw but had NO idea the rest of that way up there....now I have to go back, thank u!!
So good to see you Two back on UA-cam… I binge watched you days ago… A Cool place that you have treated us to see !!! Kinda hard to find the words to express… Very surprised that it has Not been tagged or defaced… You Two are great and I sincerely appreciate what you do …
Very cool! I'm familiar with Niki de Saint Phalle's work from seeing it in Balboa Park and La Jolla but I've never been to Kit Carson Park. I need to add it to my list...and maybe bring my discs for a round of golf when I'm there 🙂
LOL! I lived in Escondido and remember when this first opened to the public and the general consensus was more of a WTF? Escondido has made several attempts at artwork and spent a ton of money that has left most people scratching their heads.
They sure did ruin a cool park. They have remobed the sombrero and wagon slide. Used to have fun catching crawdads and hiking northward up the creek in the early 70's.
What a cool place! To me the Eagle looked more like a Parrot, g. Looks like a very popular spot. Always enjoy your videos and lookin forward to the next ...
As always, you have found another real gem. Great art almost hidden in plain sight. Go to a “regular” park and find such an interesting and unique piece of local history. So glad you two are out there exposing all of these fantastic places.
Great vid as usual, always a pleasure to view. Say, Bethany, what happened to your knife? A large folding knife in a case is quite legal. Never know when you may come across an apple orchard or coconut tree. 😉
Watching your videos' has made me realize how lame I am. I live in Temecula and did not know about this place just 25 miles away. I will be going when I can. Follow the tongue LOL.
Hi you two. Such a great channel. There is something in the UK i think you would love to see.... If you search Colin's barn or "Hobbit house" Chedglow Wiltshire. You will not be disappointed. As always greetings from Yorkshire UK. Take care.John.
The snake used to be a swing that kids could play on. Most of the cool play slides have been removed. There is a picture of me hanging from the snakes tongue when I was about 6 years old. Had a lot of fun there as a kid. Too bad they have ruined the park by removimg all the cool stuff, and that repulsuve artwork is just another way of showing the bad use of tax payer money.

That’s a nice hidden gem. Great video as always.
Interesting. Good video. Surprised that there was no obvious graffiti, at least none that you showed us.

Haha, gotta throw in an early hook with the music! 😉
You guys should do an episode on Mrs. Orcutt’s driveway
Great vid as usual, always a pleasure to view. Say, Bethany, what happened to your knife?

Thumbs up for the truth 👍🏽
I'm guessing she liked to "partake" more than the average person. :P :P That place is a trip.

9am to 12pm on Tuesday & Thursdays are the normal operating hours. :)
@@OddityOdysseys Wow; early risers only... 😳
@@realbadger Queen Califia's is also open until 2pm on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month for a little more leg room. 😊

VOMITORIUM lolololol👍
Made me ill seeing them dismantle a once great park.
Hopefully they leave Felicita park alone. They already ruined Grape Day Park.
.
Any idea how long she worked on this project of hers. 🍺
Buddy's and I used to smoke weed there
