Never use tools to tighten it up, only gently by hand... its going very hard, use some vaseline for the O-rings

It also damages the fittings unless you wrap paper towel or something on your pliers.
I use oring grease in my fittings.
When tightening into acrylic you have to get the tightness just right or you get those sunbeam cracks.
