The lead weight in the pointed stick is from a javelin, the riveted copper plates are from a scabbard or horse tack, the glass cylinder is a lite bulb lens or shield and the little metal cylinder is a tip for a cane, magicians wand, or wooden curtain rod. Just guessing.
That copper Camel ad sheet looks like it could have been a printing plate to print on a single page, intended to fold over, maybe for a booklet or flyer.
Fair question, not really sure but I seem to recall there being both a "positive" (ink on the devices) and "negative" (ink on the fields, so that lettering was formed by absence of ink). But I'm definitely not sure either way, just couldn't imagine any other scenario where half tge design is upside down! 🤷♂️
I hope he knows how much we appreciate him. I wish I could go with him on one of these adventures. I've been watching him on UA-cam since I was 14 and I'm now 21.
In a time of political insanity and uncertainty, thx for being a steady escape from the lunacy. Times to precious to be over consumed with pointing fingers. Keeping us grounded, thank you Beau!
Chiggs maybe not what you were expecting, but it was a fun watch. The camel sign was cool and that glass piece. Nice to see you have fun and cracking jokes. 👏👍😀
lantern fly? I haven't ever seen one these b4 , here in East TN , crazy beautiful tho nice to know , love all those little history and nature lessons you give us when ya get the chance love it
Hello Beau, regardless still good finds as long as you're having fun, always watching... Ya really need to get back to do some more "River Hunters", really enjoyed watching those!!! Keep up the good work and vids. Hope all's well with everyone/thing. Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊
Can't wait to find a civil war artifact ... Way up on my bucket list. I do have a round ball I found but it's kind of hard to say it's Civil War related from my area of south Georgia.
the segmented glass thing reminds me of a lighthouse lense. ill bet its a boat light lense. and that brass thing really does look like the bottom of a machette scabbard.
Was very common to pile up garbage near water ways years ago , I was very shocked to learn of this. Also garbage pile up to change landscape to take it from the natives.
Probably illegal. Most rivers and streams in the US are regulated by the Army corp of engineers and you are not allowed to metal detect, treasure hunt or even remove anything.
I think that "axle bearing" is more likely to be a propeller shaft bearing from an old outboard motor. I had a 1954 Evinrude l had to find a prop bearing replacement for. It looked very very similar.
I think that weird glass globe was an old porch light glass fixture. Most likely from 1940' to 50'. The curved copper piece looks like it could be the bottom end of a large knife scabbard.
2:54 the half pewter ball reminds me of a Christmas tree ornament is that a possibility? Did they make ornaments out of pewter back in the late 1800’s?? Hmmm back to the vid…. 9:09 yes I think that’s the trigger guard area of an old 1860’s pistol holster maybe a major or captains? Back to the vid… 9:52 well that looks like the top to an antique paramount lighting company Christmas tree light box… ya hard to believe but I think so… the cardboard ones had the same hole types on each side back to the vid….the rest I have no idea😂😂😂 definitely an odd bunch of finds (ya I have some of those camel tins from the 90’s it’s upside down because it was folded there and that’s the back side of the box) thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼 ps hope you see this comment
Hey chigg Patrick from Spotsylvania Virginia here. I have been working on killing several large, 30 foot trees of heaven. They are all gone by the end of winter. All the saplings will be gone and we will just kill anything that comes above ground next year. Hopefully, we keep that spotted lantern away from my garden ❤ happy hunting we need to dig again real soon
I am pretty sure the aluminum piece you found is a different type of sinker. It would have had a metal loop on the top but it looks like that and the guts are gone.
1:00 What is that creepy looking white shape about 60 feet back in the bush over Chigg's right shoulder at about his eye level ? It appears standing there for about a minute . Is it huuuman ?

If it was used for printing wouldn't it be backwards?

Those pennies are really cool, especially the wheat penny
Some weird, Wild finds!
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
The odd electrical looking thing in beginning of video reminds me of an old camera flashbulb, glass gone. ???
Greetings from Newark
Chiggs maybe not what you were expecting, but it was a fun watch. The camel sign was cool and that glass piece. Nice to see you have fun and cracking jokes. 👏👍😀
Its always fun to watch.. great sense of humor🎉
That light fixture cover looks just like what was used at old drive in theaters. Like running lights on lower to the ground.
Nicr observation
Love that log. Wish I had it for my little front yard fishpond.

Rod holder fishing from the bank of the river. You stick in the ground. Enjoy your videos especially the 4iver hunters.
the segmented glass thing reminds me of a lighthouse lense. ill bet its a boat light lense.

I recon they was stretchin out that rather long baby for use as a bridge across the water, they had to be innovative during the Civil War!
Was very common to pile up garbage near water ways years ago , I was very shocked to learn of this. Also garbage pile up to change landscape to take it from the natives.
I would like to guess how many fishing weights you have collected over the years! I would imagine the number is in the thousands!
Get Lindsey to X-ray that wood and lead piece for us😁😁😁
9:25 looks like part of a bellows.
Heey.. really
I see you’re back to your AT MAX!
Nice video you should come to the rivers in Montana and do some water detecting
Probably illegal. Most rivers and streams in the US are regulated by the Army corp of engineers and you are not allowed to metal detect, treasure hunt or even remove anything.
The copper with the copper rivets could be the end of a knife sheath.
The aluminum object looks like the tip to a walking can or a military swagger stick.
I think that "axle bearing" is more likely to be a propeller shaft bearing from an old outboard motor.

That leather with brass rivet piece almost looks like a sheath to a karambit style knife?
Make a small leg lamp out of that leg
9:36 looks like a thimble, for sewing
3 or 4 Oz. Weight? 3/4?!😮😊
What machine are you swinging in this video? Thanks for sharing.
I think those are copper printing plates.
I am pretty sure the aluminum piece you found is a different type of sinker. It would have had a metal loop on the top but it looks like that and the guts are gone.
Iy trally looks like sinker
I've always been interested in metal detection, what would be a good beginner "KIT" to start with ??
Everything in a range of 250-300 $
10:20 thats worth alot of money... sign or printing plate
Did you find Kenny around there hidin’ in them bushes?
Question: Chigg do you take precautions against waterbourne bacteria.?????😊
Yes, I do not enter the water with open wounds.
