My biggest annoyance as a washington fan this offseason is everyone writing us off because we have “an awful front office” and “are a poverty franchise.” Like people that regime is GONE now, they’ve been the major problem for a long time but keep up with the NFL news cycle!
Yeah yeah yeah. Washington has had 35 and soon to be 37 new starting QBs since 2000. That’s a horrible stat.
Every year, we underestimate how much parity there is in the NFL. 50% of playoff teams don't make it the following year. The people saying "OMG HOW COULD HE PICK WASHINGTON" said the same thing about Houston last year.
The difference is....Washington is trash

@@bankslvrd6978 Houston was not seen as having a much better roster at the time. They're seen as having that because Stroud's a stud, and the Texans coaching staff did a great job on both sides of the ball.
If Washington's coaching staff does a great job and their QB looks top 10, people will retroactively give their roster more credit like you're currently doing.

Lifelong Washington fan here...alot and I mean alot would have to go right for us and badly for Dallas to finish ahead of them and make the playoffs. I expect improvement but that's a bit much.

every year, there will be ~4 teams that will surprise everyone. always feels like the division winners are obvious, but injuries, turnover luck, and schedule breaks have as much of an impact on 'success' as the rosters do.

Dude if we make the wildcard I’d be shocked. Second year for Josh Harris and company but first year with a plan with new staff and obviously new players. It’s gonna take at least two seasons/off seasons for us to really get things going. And that’s assuming everything goes well. A huge factor for me is KK running offense. I’m cool with Dan and Joe but Kliff is a huge variable in this. Hope he can use our guys right.

Rams improved the oline and Stafford was light years better than any QB in the conference.

Purdys numbers were clearly better, Murray was injured and Geno smith's oline was injury depleted and he still had similar numbers to Stafford. Anyone who is objective not Rams biased would see that.

Seahawks and Cardinals have a better chance at Division then Rams imo. especially the seahawks. Cardinals is pretty even. Losing AD the best DT of all-time is going to hurt the entire defense so much. Other edge rushers won't be as good.

People dont understand that last season the defense was basic AF like they were using a really good High School teams defensive playbook Or something. think they fixed their coaching/gameplan deficiency from last year. The goal will be to punch teams in the mouth, keep the clock running and atvleast half the games thenstarters better be chillin letting the 2s & 3s get reps by halfway point in 4th quarter. I expect the Panthers to be better than Washington and I am completely serious. At least Carolina has a defense!
I would put the Browns second or third in the division. They won 11 games last year with the most in injuries. And the best defense in football Plus Everyone of those players who was hurt are coming back. Including Nick Chubb, If that team was 100% healthy last year they would’ve won two or three more games. Don’t see why they wouldn’t be just as good if not better than last years record.
Broncos will be in 4th. Not 3rd.
