as a person trying to get sober from almost 10 years of heavy drinking. trying to mend a great relationship with my ex. I love listening to you just talk and being able to relate to shit. thank you.
I remember this night like it was last weekend man. I grew up on James Island and vividly remember my friend and I driving down folly road for some reason and there were a bunch of jacked-up trucks helping people get through the folly road/camp road intersection. It was a gnarly storm. Good story, Dusty! Look forward to hearing more. Keep on having a good time, my dude!
Dusty, There are plenty of people with stellar credit and more impressive cars, but they can’t tell such an interesting story! You’re a talented stand up comic as well! I loved your trailer park/tornado bit! 👍🏼
Oh yeah, I live in Moncks Corner South Carolina and work in downtown Charleston all the time. It still floods bad down there. Cool I thought you look familiar I must have seen you somewhere down here before. I used to be all over James Island, Folly Beach and Downtown Charleston.
I keep telling my friends about you, hopefully when shit picks back up and you make it thru the Phoenix AZ area I can come head you live telling me I'm having a good time.
I met this girl on a dating website, I thought she was one of those robots but I set up a coffee date anyways. I get to the coffee shop and sitting in a booth is a fucking robot!
This is such a charleston story. I remember the first time I went downtown in what I thought was a regular ol' summer sprinkle and the fucking town was FLOODED! I spent a few great years in charleston, wouldn't trade it for the world, but I'd never move back lol
Reminds me of the time I drove down a road and the snow slowly built up under the front of my car til the wheels were off the ground spinning. Netflix and chill wound up racking up 150 worth of tow and yard fees. Central Falls Rhode Island is full of tiny one ways, they removed all the stuck cars and plowed overnight, they must make a killing on fees. Probably would have been cheaper if I didn't abandon the car and hoof it the rest of the way there, bottle of bourbon in my coat and a pocket full of condoms lol.
I dated a hot bartender didn't pay for a drink for years...just a big tip..right! Anyway, I was crushed when that ended...she still put out once in a while but my free ride was over...still stings But yeah driving drunk was not even a worry you know the guy that drives better drunk
I can't tell what the subject was. His car? The flood? What's the girlfriend is the title for? Hmmmm. I have a podcast series too. You have to spend a little time to think what's the point of the story going to be and how to conclude it. You basically tell the same story, but it is a story.
Wait,wait,wait...you can buy all the beer and pizza but you can't get a loan? Did you spend all your money on beer and pizza and not make your payments? Huh, did ya?
@@DustySlay believe it or not, it's the same with me. Quit drinking in 2007 and about once a year I get a slice and I regret it in about an hour afterward. Stay well
Oh a Dusty Slay upload? I guess I’m having a good time
It'll get better😂
This is probably the best comment to ever make...
No, you ARE having a good time

Meanwhile, ex-girlfriend is waiting up, wondering why Dusty never showed up. 😂

As many times as you drove cars into water I feel like you’ll drive a boat on the street lol
I love the epilogue! 😂
The wrap up at the end 😂
I remember my dad in the early 80s had a 4door Buick and I can't remember the name of that Buick, but it had Olympic Rings on every head rest!

The moral of the story: Ending up with a Honda Fit is kind of a good wake up call!

I have been to Charleston. It is a nice city to walk but a terrible place to drive. Narrow streets, few places to park.
Just subscribed to the pod!

Before the beard, does anyone else think Dusty favors a pre-health conscious Nate Bargatze?

To make a long story short...lol
So, you flooded two cars?
Can I respectfully ask how many minutes of material you had before you were able to make money at stand-up?
Awesome. Glad things are going good for you. I drive for living and will check that album out while I'm on the job, soon.
WOW
I know what you mean I was walking down a dark road next thing I know I
in a ditch all soaked
Good old norms pizza. Yeah I don't know Norms pizza but hey it sounds like Norm is a great guy. ✋🏾 Are we having a good time?
