I used the 80-10 dipole built by Tim for a POTA activation... 1,113 contacts from K-2892 over 6 activations while camping... great lightweight antenna... running 100w. SSB

I don't really understand the complaints about price. If you're worried about the price of a dipole antenna period I don't understand why you wouldn't just make your own. The most ghetto, split coax dipole will handle more power than you can provide, guaranteed. The price is the sum of the cleanliness of execution and saving you the trouble of hanging, tuning, taking down, cutting, then rehanging the thing 15 times. Some people want a plug and play solution.

I've bought and used the 40/20 linked dipole for WWFF and Pota activations. Solid and lightweight. Gets a recommendation from me.

I have 3 of N9SAB's antennas and all work well with a tuner. I have the OCF dipole and I am very happy with it. Need a well built QRP antenna, git one...

I have a N9TAX GMRS Antenna no problem hitting repeaters over 50 miles away. I can hit those same repeaters out on the docks with the Nagoya 771G HT Whip antenna. Its a wide open area hitting repeaters on mountains and hills. 69 miles away on a HT repeating out over 100 miles

I think i have seen this on Eric you tube channel. I have been a subscriber for many years. I am currently using a off set center fed dipole antenna. but the MFJ one rated 1500 watts. has ether a 4:1 or 5:1 into a 1:1 . is 4 bands. 40 20 10 and 6 meter with out tuner. will tune 15 and 12 and 17 meters. with ICOM 7300 . some times have to put into emergency mode to tune. this reduces radio to 50 watt max you can drop to 1 watt. in this mode ,the tuner will go bound 3:1 SWR. which I do for the 9:1 . the only thing I did not like with the MFJ OCFD was it was bare copper wire. with my NY winters it turned green and black. after a year. I still have and replacing with DX commander DX 50 green antenna wire. and will use it for POTA QRO not QRP. I have had good lock from my home running near a KW with a AL 572 tube amp. SWR stays down under power. had to shorten a tad for better match. now on OCFD tunning its 2/3 to 1/3 cut. not like a center fed where the cut to tune is the same for both legs. the ratio is 1/3 to 2/3 for the length total. glade you had fun with a offset center fed dipole. dipole is a dipole just where it is fed changes the matching transformer. 1:1 center fed. end fed is 49:1 or 64:1 I seen 56:1 this effects tune length. random is 9:1 needs a tuner. the offset uses a 5:1 or 4:1 . MFJ includes a 1:1 so no choke on coax needed. no RFI gets back to the shack. also the off set center has a lower noise floor for me in snow and rain. 73's

Jason, what was the seller’s name on eBay? Last month, I was looking for a Windom antenna on ebay that my buddy uses on his Yaesu FT-817 at Magic Island. He sits in this park all day with his headphones and makes one contact after another.
This seller’s name on eBay was timortiz , whose Windom looked just like this antenna and wondering if it’s the same seller? Please let me know, ok Jason. Mahalo to you!

Really disappointed you didn't dissect that... Need to take some inspiration from AvE and run some BOLAR on this. Why buy this fancy antenna when I can build the same thing with some parts of Amazon and some hardware store wire?

Costs about 16$ to build. So he’s doing well. Great design for people that don’t have the time to build one. Not really sure why he has a 100w pep limit on it unless there’s a small ferrite core under the heat shrink.
