They just might. Like Unik dan Nyata mentioned, Ginting has yet to be consistent. Sometimes it seems like he's missing the fighting spirit. Like he's lost while on the field. When he gets that fixed, he would be awesome every time.

Ginting, come from the same place as Taufik Hidayat. Trained in same club, SGS PLN Bandung, with the same coach. No wonder why he had similiarity gameplay with Taufik itself. A bit more consistency and surely he could become a new sensation in MS Badminton.

I really hope that Ginting could quickly realize his potential because as his nickname "Giant Killer", he only focused on the giants and not the whole picture, very unstable and not consistent although he's very talented. His coach should assign him to more practices and make him more consistent. Once he wakes up and stops being moody, he'll be the next Taufik Hidayat and maybe even better.
Ginting is my now favourite player to watch. So agile and efficient in his plays. And he’s the only guy that I see at the moment who has a consistent superb cross court smashes. And his net play is just extraordinarily. His net play is even better then Momoto’s!
Yes. In my opinion, Ginting 's net play is one of his trademark: deception net shot, cross court net shot and tumble net shot!!

You cannot compare the Lin Dan-Lee Chong Wei rivalry to MomoGi rivalry. There are so many reasons; one is that LCW and LD were at the top, winning title after title; only Momota in the MomoGi rivalry could be considered at the top. When Ginting wakes up and realizes his frightening potential (consistently), then we have a rivalry comparable to LD-LCW.
That being said, they are the most interesting to watch, with both being so amazing (Momota with effortless skill & strategy and Ginting with effortless deception and power). I think even though Ginting is an attacking player, his defence is underrated. I think even though Momota is a defensive player, his attack is underrated. They are both incredibly fast and cover the court so well (in different ways).
The moment Ginting starts winning title after title consistently, and they become the two undisputed best in the world, then I think they just might be the next LD-LCW rivalry.

I honestly want those 2 to meet more often. But ginting is still unstable in his performance. Don't take me wrong. I like how he plays. It's just the inconsistency that's bothering everyone. I'm sure almost everyone is
I don't play badminton, i play basketball... But maaaaaaannn, badminton players are sick!!! How on earth could someone has those kinda reflexes????? (I know the answer is: practices and exercises). And their footwork?????... Daaaaaamn! Those are skills man! I think i could do that smashing things, but that soft play atound the net are something else!!! And that deception technique? That's just sick!!!

Watching this video makes me realized that Ginting is always playing at a disadvantage. I mean, look at his opponents! They're literal giants! Ginting is only 171, Chen Long is 187, Lin Dan 178, Chou 180 and Axelsen is 194. Even Momota is 175. So, he really is Giants Killer.
Really really, at this professional level , you guys find a good excuse.
So what, you play with your skills and techniques, if you are considering opponents heights, then also compare the numbers of unforced errors ginting makes every time, do you know Lee chong Wei, was he that tall. .
Physically the smallest guy among the top players. But his agility, his stamina, and his tricks make him who he is...
His moves reminded me of LCW especially his cross smash and drop shot. After watching this feels like they're out of their prime.

In my opinion, with that level of speed, actually ginting has a good stamina. I kinda disagree if someone said that stamina is his biggest problem. But, ginting sometimes can not control it. He drains fast because he uses his speed so often. Thats why momota has always been seen more effective because he can push ginting until third set and made ginting overuses his speed. Thats when ginting will run out of gas. But now, so many players know how to deal with ginting. Axelsen makes ginting run all over the court and just patience when ginting attacks. Usually ginting will make an unforced error automatically. Same goes to chen long. At the olympic, chen long's style suddenly change when he faced ginting. Ginting is an awesome athlete, but i think he should be more creative since other players already know how to deal with his speed.

i would say he has complete skill of badminton ,he was on fire on that tournament , his skill is unique , hope one day he can be world champion
the skill that he has can manipulate the direction. so it is so hard to anticipate where the shuttle lands. it is affected by changing the acceleration of body move. he is like a messi in badminton.
What about the latest most important semi-finalist match between him and Chen Long in Tokyo Olympic ?. What happen to the giant killing when it counts the most ?.

Chou is 2018 asian games silver medalist and show us very consistent performance even not the best, and Kento Momota the world no 2 become the world no 1 start after that match till today
Giant killer? I thought Ginting himself can be considered a giant already in today’s MS tour, because he is one of the top five or six players. Momota, CTC, Axelsen, Antonsen, Shi Yuqi, and you just have to put Ginting in there among them.
Of course Ginting is one of top players in BWF MS now. Ginting been called Giant Killer because he is able to defeat 4 World Champion consecutively in a tournament.
