Since making my first knife a few months ago, I've been itching to make another. I'd been thinking about a leather stacked handle and when Joey from Kingpost Timberworks asked if I could make him an EDC(every day carry) knife I went for it.

Pask Makes Great video. Awesome channel no regrets over becoming a member. I highly recommend it to every do it yourself out there....
He’s just a Joey!
With some luck he might have some Rimu cut-offs laying around from one of his last projects. You could use them for handle-blanks or even a SWC... (If shipping Rimu scraps is actually allowed)
Greetings ! please cand you help me with a info? the sharpening wooden table, you did it ? is custom made by you ?
Soo cool! Thanks Neil
You Sir are one of the better craftsmen on UA-cam
"Gents, I have decided to make a knife and I will choose the most complex and difficult way I can to make it."
Amazing work, really a masterwork.
That was very enjoyable to watch. Your camera, sound and overall relaxed style in the workshop/studio is enviable.
You just combined all my favorite things to do. I've been leather working for a couple of years. Woodworking for even longer. An just recently started tinkering with knife making. So this is definitely one I'm gonna try an put my own spin on. Your craftsmanship is next level for sure. An this is probably the coolest project out of any I've seen on UA-cam. Just amazing an I feel challenged to step it up after watching. Simply awesome an your the man. God bless, brother
Thank you for this peaceful video, without loud music, very relaxing to watch you making stuff. Keep doing this way, thank you ! I subscribed and liked by the way ;)
Once again I'm speechless with your ingenuity in making things. The way you filed the cutting edge of the knife, that diy knife blade vise, the knife tail bolt idea, and your patience in detail filling and finishing ... WOW !!!!!! my friend... WOW !!!!!!
I've made many things like this by hand and appreciate all the time and dedicated craftsmanship that went into such a lovely knife ( let alone the super video documentation). I totally understand the reluctance to part with a creation that has so much time and care and skill invested in it...unless... the next one will be better and kept!
I swear, this man will rasp anything.
Wood, metal, leather.
I'm surprised he hasn't put the rasp to paper yet.
Every time you add to the series it becomes harder to decide my favorite project.
It's really a nice knife!
Thanks always
Love that filing jig
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
Very nice thank you again. I always pick up a new bit of kit while watching your videos. I have modified wrenches, made them thinner and resized them for my needs. But I'll be darned if I ever thinned down the wall of a socket just never thought to do that. And I have a full drawer of extra sockets. I worked at a place I could see across ten lanes of very busy highway from home. I would walk a mile to an underpass along a feeder road then another mile to work. I picked up tools and other miscellaneous stuff every day. I guess they were falling out of truck beds. I did this for 2 years. Many of the tools where guaranteed for life so if they where a bit worn and the damage didn't void the warranty I took them in and traded for new ones. Snap on, Proto, craftsman and a few others. Now I look for the stuff at yard sales. You can buy a set of tools for a few bucks and upgrade the worn tools.
Love the stacked leather handle. Beautiful knife.
You make some pretty ingenious jigs, but the one set up for your angle while filing the edge was next level. Unbelievable!
Samuel Gabrielson thats just a standard Aaron gough jig with a tiny bit of modifications. Pretty common in the knifemaking world
It’s a standard file guide.. he didn’t come up with it… most knife makers have this is some form or another
You can be proud of this knife, making a bolster with a radius is far from being easy, you've done a fantastic job
Beautiful
Extremely cool of you to show the mis-step! Nice product; nice video!
Pask Makes is highly skilled and refreshing to watch!
The only thing I regret when watching Pask's videos where he files metal parts is having sound at 100%. Gives me horrible chills every time.
As for everything else - fantastic job, sir.
Nice trick to use a drill bit to draw the center line of the blade! That's really clever, I'll try to remember that next time I need to do the same.
Great looking blade and handle . I like the work around for the threads making the notch. Keep up good work mate.
Love the jig or whatever you would call ir that you made to guide and support your file for creating the bevel. Nicely done! Thanks for sharing.
That is a good-looking little knife.
Only a matter of time before you join the rest of us who made a knife once and then couldn't stop making them! Very nice job though buddy!
I made myself a quick grundgy looking knife when i was 17, but the level of craftsmanship and effort you put into this knife makes me want to throw mine away LOL.
Joey you lucky man !
Beautiful knife. I'm partial to the K-Bar Marine fighting knife. The stacked leather is durable and easy to grip, even with wet hands.
OR BLOODY HANNDSS
Минимальными средствами -- максимальный результат. Спасибо. Сибирь. Красноярск.
you are the most gifted and talented craftsman in the world.
What a lovely little knife!
You’re such a great artisan. Amazing, as always.
Cool little knife. I have a knife I got from my dad that is from the 1960's and it has a leather wrapped handle. Best I can tell, the tang goes all the way through the handle. It's a really cool knife. Good to see this technique is still being used.
I love that leather handle! I always wondered how that was done. Thanks.
never even though about doing a threaded tang that way. Brilliant!
That sharpening jig is genius!
Keep up the great work!
Absolutely gorgeous knife!!!
That turned out beautiful. I really enjoyed watching you make that.
Nice work!
Love that filing jig.
Just marvelous work...tremendous skill here.
Really gorgeous EDC.
Thank you sir. I enjoyed watching this.
Beautiful.
Great to see the 'old ways' are still in use !
WOW! Beautiful work ...
That is a beauty! Nothing like the look of a stacked leather handle.
what a gorgeous little knife. great job Neil 👍
i like your knife vice, could maybe use a gusset to get rid of the flex.
threaded rod trick is clever.
little tip.. get the front bolster completely finished, sanded and polished before fitting, saves the risk of scratching the blade .
More people should aspire to be like this man !
Very nice work. 👍
Love the way you attached the threaded rod, no welding required!
One of the best knife bevel jigs I've seen so far on You Tube. Simple and not to crazy looking. Killer Project!!
EDC in the UK?
do you have a loisance for that?
Really enjoyed this video. Thank you. Very interesting and I must say you are a talented man indeed
Excellent craftsmanship. Your patience and skill are amazing to see. Another fantastic video.
Türkçe altyazılı böyle bir video ilk defa gördüm emeğinizden ve altyazı eklediğinizden dolayı bence daha fazlasını hakediyorsunuz UA-camda böyle videoların çoğalması dileğiyle
This is an amazing build. I haven't been so drawn to a knife in over 20 years. I love every single thing about it.
... except for the sharpening notch.
absolutely beautiful. O learned a lot from this video, thanks
I've been trying to find an oblong punch, never occurred to me to make one like that! :D Excellent video.
You are a great master! Bravo!
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
That's a beauty. I especially liked your method of slotting the leather.
It came great!!!
loved!
I want one!
man u look like u have been in the knife making craft for nearly half a century !
Looks razor sharp
Absolutely beautiful! I recently found your channel and instantly become a fan. My 8 year old daughter and I sit in front of the tv and watch all your great creations. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. 👍
Beautiful work! Nice gift.
Great build, Neil. My dad made a leather stacked handled hunting knife when he was in high school (in the '60's) that is still in our family today. A bit more crude than the beauty you worked up there, but a testament to the durability of the leather handle.
fantastic looking little knife. Your work is always a pleasure to watch
Classy little piece. Love the filing jig. You certainly are a man of many talents.
Congrats Joey .. Kingpost deserves only the best! And Pask does great work.
Great job I love that blade
Cool knife bud I love the little choil!

I wonder how you will surprise me now an i make some time watching it because i want to see every second . This is another great video my friend. Greetings from your belgium fan!
Joey has a great channel. He’s a talented woodworker..
One day I hope to have half the level of craftsmanship that you have. Great work.
Love that thing
You love your work and it shows. What a beautiful knife. The only thing missing is your trademark.
Excelente trabajo, mis felicitaciones desde el PERU
Damned glad I did not just spend $75 on an oblong leather punch. I will now make my own thanks to you. Beautiful knife.
Totally amazing. The finished knife looks like a million $.
I love the look of that knife. just beautiful useful and elegant.
My congratulations!!! From Argentina I greet you and I want to express my admiration for so much talent !!!
Beautiful work.
Who needs all this modern CNC
when you have TCH (two clever hands).
Thanks for sharing [shake]
You make such great stuff.
Enjoyed watching your method all the way through seemed very logical and well thought out...great job!
Gorgeous!
Great work on that one mate
Beautiful job on this! Thanks for posting it.
Lovely little knife. Excellent craftsmanship. I really like the stacked leather handle.
Best looking what I call a HindAway knife I've ever seen made.. You did a amazing job .
Great job, I enjoyed it.
Extremely awesome! i really like that You show your mistakes, which seems not to be the most popular thing on yt, but it makes your videos very real!
wow ! so much att to detail .
Nice knife,On your wood plug you might try to use the plug cutter on the face of the wood instead of the end grain it would blend in better, Love your channel.
Very, very good job 👍 👍 awesome. 👍 👍 👍 👍
Stunning!
Love that filing jig! be stealing that idea lol
Cool to see that you use handtools.
