Kumbharli Ghat is a mountain pass in Maharashtra, India that connects the coastal Ratnagiri district in Konkan region of Maharashtra with the Satara District in the Desh region. It cuts across the Western Ghats range. It is one of few link roads between the Konkan and Ghatmaatha in Maharashtra. It links the Major cities, Chiplun (Ratnagiri district) and Karad (Satara district). This ghat is on the Karad-Chiplun state highway. Also, this highway joins to the NH-4 near Umbraj. Malharpeth, Patan and Koyananagar are the major cities on this road. Kumbharli ghat has historical significance. Kumbharli ghat was considered as the main transportation centre at that time.
The Koyna Dam is one of the largest dams in Maharashtra, India. It is a rubble-concrete dam constructed on the Koyna River. nestled in the Western Ghats on the state highway between Chiplun and Karad. 25 km from Kumbharli Ghat. Today the Koyna Hydroelectric Project is the largest completed hydroelectric power plant in India having a total installed capacity of 1,960 MW. Due to its electricity generating potential Koyna river is considered as the 'lifeline of Maharashtra'. Ozarde Waterfall is known for its large 100 ft. drop and encompassing area. The water drops with a roar and creates a loud gurgling noise.

Raghuveer Ghat joins the town of Khed in Ratnagiri district to the villages of Shindi & Valvan in Mahabaleshwar taluka of Satara district .is one of the beautiful and less explored region in western ghats....you can also explore it
After the construction of Koyna dam these villages in Satara district were virtually cut off from the world in terms of road transportation. In 1990's they finally came within the road network of Khed
