Excellent comparison! I have the original KO Red Alert which is good enough being held by Inferno, like you mentioned. I don't really feel like spending more money on cartoon versions of these characters if i already have them represented.
Very nicely done. I have the KO of the original MP Red and once I took care of a couple of the issues he was great. I also have the BC version and absolutely love it.
I had to get the xacto knife for that center chest section to fold into itself properly. I used more than enough force than I was comfortable with before gettin' to cutting that excess plastic out. My ko version had super loose joints and the head was so wobbly. I have other KO masterpiece versions and this one was by far the worst I ever bought.
I just got my KO today and it had a few problems. It had the same problems with the front tires rubbing and the side panels having gaps, the right arm is slightly loose but It can hold a pose just not with the weapon, it's too loose to hold it up. The head seemed a smidge too loose as well but that was insignificant. Only other real problem was the hand gun tab is too small for him to hold the gun at all in either hand. Should mounted gun fit perfectly, though. Other than that the paint was damn near perfect, the autobot log was centered too and there were no other major issues. If i can find a way to tighten the right arm i'll be even happier. All in all a decent purchase.
ha thanks :D I always wonder if anyone pays attention to the effects. Things like the Takara Vs KO scene can take up to 30-40mins alone. And are honestly the most interesting part of putting the vids together ^_^
Not too shabby...but the MP12 mold in general sucks anyway. Instead of lame half-assed "+" repaints, Takara should try actual new molds with better engineering for show accuracy (like they did with Starsaber, Inferno, Grapple, MP36 Megatron, Sunstreaker, and the new v3 Optimus).
Agreed. At the time, it was ok. Now.. Nah, it's awful. I had hoped the Badcubes would be a hole in one, but that wasn't the case. I hope another 3P takes a jab at it ^_^
