I've seen quite a few tutorials about turning cardboard boxes into storage bins but they all are done in 10 minutes or so. The thing is that this one is so neat and clean and pretty that now I'm convinced to really go that extra step to get the final product. I loved it!
I was thinking the same thing. I love that this is longer and more explanatory. I appreciate that she took extra time. Heck, people can *ALWAYS* fast-forward is they are impatient! Haha!!!
@@ClariceMertz Are you familiar with Mod Podge? I'm wondering if you could use that instead of the Crafters Glue. I just happen to have that on hand. 😁
I was thinking of ordering some boxes for amazon for a shelf i am re-purposing but now i'm going to do it myself because of your amazing tutorial. Thank you!
Beautiful personality, clear easy instructions. These fabric covered boxes turned out just lovely. I will have to try this. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this tutorial. Such a wonderful end result!
Hi Mo Welcome to my channel! Tomorrow I am posting a video with a up date in this box, to make it little bit easier, plus I will show how to do a lid for the box. I hope you like. Thank you very much for visiting!
Five years later..... this is STILL the best tutorial on how to cover a box with fabric. I've made quite a few boxes due to this video. People can't believe it's handmade. Thank you!
I started watching a link for fabric-covered boxes, but the boxes used new materials, not recycled boxes. I've been looking at others that might use recycled boxes, because I like to reuse, reduce, recycle instead of putting money out to buy 'new'. This is a very neat and clean looking box tutorial. I found that there are circles for the boxes online (curtain grommets) so will be ordering some, in the meantime, I may be making some smaller boxes as well, and don't really need circles for them...good practice. I will, however, be making lids on them, so will be using the flaps for that so that I can stack them in my closet and craft space. Thank you for these great hints, tips and ideas. Blessings. February 5, 2023.
Good morning Teresa, Thank you very much for your sweet message. It is very good to know that it is clear, Ingles being my second language makes it a little bit more difficult for me. Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful job, Clarice. In America, we call your outer and inner pieces - Poster Board. Cardboard is much thicker, like what the box is made of. Also, it's an excellent way to cover all our Amazon boxes we get in the mail.
Hi Virginia Welcome to the channel! Virginia, thank you very much for the explanation about the Cardboard / Poster Board, I really appreciate it. Yes, the boxes from Amazon are really good ones to recycle. Thanks for visiting. xoxo
I have made a few fabric covered boxes and was not very impressed with the final products. I am super excited to try this one out before calling it quits on these boxes. I love how you explain it all in such detail. Thank you so much for the video! I love it!
Fantastic video. I’ve been looking for this type of comprehensive instructional video to cover an unusual shaped box. This will work on for any box. Love that the instructions are for inside and outside. Thanks for this.
Love your tutorial!! PLEASE tell me where do I buy the metal circles for the handles?? Thanks! Edit: Found them! Curtain grommets. 😁 Thanks again for the wonderful tutorial 🌷

Your boxes are so beautiful! I think they look better than the ones you can buy and so customizable! I have some boxes that I was going to throw out but I think that I will try this instead! Great tutorial! Step by step, not too short, not too long!

Inspiring work, Clarice! Even if the end cost of this isn't super cheap, I'd still say that this project is worth it! The end results are proof of that! I appreciate your thoroughness, along with your accent! 😉

These are lovely and you did an amazing job. The main issue I have with these bins is you usually have to remove them from the shelf to access the contents, assuming they will be put on a shelf. Do you have an idea of how I can make these enclosed with an attached lid that hinges on the front top? That way you just pull the bottom of the front panel up to open it and everything is accessible from the front rather than removing the whole bin and accessing it from the top? I want it to be completely enclosed to keep the dust out. It's also easier in my opinion, to remove items from the front than the top, unless they're in the back behind a bunch of other things. I have a few ideas but yours seem so professional and maybe you have some ideas.
Actually, I've been thinking and I think a hinge on the bottom would work better so you don't have to hold it open, it could just hang down. Maybe a lip on the bottom as well, about an inch high, but I haven't figured out whether or not that's better or not. I totally understand why engineers get paid well to develop products. There are so many aspects involved to achieve a great finished result.
