Sometimes, when our videos get into the suggested area of the algorithm it attracts all kinds of people. Too bad they’re so critical of free content. This video was in my suggested videos and I am enjoying it so far! Cute storage box!
I really appreciate your comment Shannon😊
Ignore the haters! This is such an awesome idea and incredibly useful. Thank you so much for this video. Looking forward to more from you!
I do not understand why some people, just feel the need to act like complete asshats… this idea of yours is the perfect idea for all of these amazon boxes I have! I have a BUNCH on them… I get deliveries to my house from Amazon at least 3 times a week. I am completely disabled and unable to drive so I do a lot of shopping online… I have been trying to find a way to reuse a lot of these boxes…. This is WONDERFUL!!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea!!!
Oddly enough, you can make a dresser out of used boxes, why not you can buy them flat packed for just that. Save money and reuse the boxes.
When they are worn out you can recycle them.
Would I cover mine in wall paper, no to fancy for my uses but I do reuse boxes to store stuff in. If it rally has to stay dry and dust free buy the plastic tote container these wont do that.
I've got boxes from 40 years ago I honestly don't even know whats in them.
But they cost me nothing. 40 years to box somthing up fir 0 cost.
I always save the small ones great parts bins.
I appreciate how distinctly you speak. It certainly makes it easy to understand and follow your instructions. These boxes are amazing!
Thank you so much Deb! I really appreciate that😀😀
I so agree with you because her way of speaking makes it possible for me to understand everything! You see, I am German and English is not my mother tongue, therefore it is often too hard for me to follow along other crafters here on UA-cam as to the way they speak. Posh Paper Lady speaks like an English teacher and I adore her for that, too. Love from Carmen, Germany
Yes great diction and enunciation
Agreed! I can even watch it at 2x speed and understand her perfectly.
@@Satans_lil_helper Exactly!
I can say my brain doesn’t grasp fast instructions. I can follow along craft along and not have to keep rewinding pausing and playing. Thank You for being a great teacher.
Tfs❤. I was about to go out & buy yet another storage container but decided to search UA-cam for ideas for my millions😂😂of Amazon boxes.
Thankyou for sharing. The finished result is really lovely ❤ kath
I have watched a lot of videos on using cardboard boxes, but no one has done it as well as you. I loved how you opened up the box and then covered it. That was a genius ideal. As always, I learn so much from you. Thank you so much. I just love you!! I don't know what you did in your life time but you make a great teacher. I love how you explain every step of the way!
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate your kind and thoughtful comment😀😀
@@ThePoshPaperLady for sure the easiest way to cover a box. love this
I was getting a little nervous when you took the whole backing off the wallpaper at once. Then I thought, No, Sherri knows what she is doing!!
Great idea! Better than my gradual peel, stick, and smooth out.
As someone mentioned, you have a great teaching manner. I really enjoy your videos, even if I don't know if I can use the info of some of them.☺️
I agree. Sherry is a wonderful teacher with a heart ❤️ of gold.
Amen to what she said and your voice is s very calming. And yes you would make a perfect teacher like the lady said bless your life from Pamela to you.
B R I L L I A N T My whole world has been turned around after this tutorial. I have been needing organization bins, but procrastinated bc of the extravagant cost it would take to get the job done. I currently have about a dozen boxes and cannot wait to begin my projects. You are the Queen of creative UA-cam! Thank you.
Agreed, brilliant 💪🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼. Thank you #PoshLady
Right!! Me too!!
This was great my foyer looks like an Amazon warehouse with all the boxes you are really an excellent instructor with a calming voice. I will ask that you add links to the supplies you use
The finger blade the papers the tape the spatula etc plus the companies may work with you so you may be able to get discounts you are realllygood at this you have the whole package
Thank you for the ideas I will still be challenged because I only have one hand that works and your video is the first I have seen that makes me feel confident enough to try but I do need all your tools again thanks for the fine job
I’m with you! Not that I needed another project but I definitely need storage boxes.
@@barbarahorne6072 I agree with you Barbara Horne, I hope you can have some really good discounts, because I need your tools to be able to make my containers.🥰
What a genuinely beautiful way of repurposing a box, it's is very clever how you did this Sherry. Waste nothing, I love it. You're absolutely amazing!
Thank you so much!
I love watching things go from nothing to something brilliant. Heck, I even enjoy watching those people who go around doing lawns for free. Turning them from an eyesore to beautiful landscaping. That's what art is all about.
Amazing job!! You are an excellent teacher.
Wow. Just love love love this. It's sturdier and prettier than the ones sold on Amazon for storage. It occurred to me that you could take an old belt and cut it up to make handles and do a whole series of boxes. What a fantastic idea and tutorial. I have tons of wall paper and boxes so I'm going to give this a go!
I love that idea! I'm always saving odds and ends of things, like belts and shoelaces -- that would be so cool!
Great idea and resource using a belt for the handle!
I always save my boxes like that to re-use. I take them apart, turn them wrong side out and glue them back together to use for mailing. I love the idea of using them the way you showed for storage. Another way to keep them from being wasted. Thanks.
That's a great idea!
On my blog it says..in a darkened corner... a pile of paper grows...what it doesn't say is....behind the door a pile of cardboard grows! Always looking out for Posh Lady's ideas and this one"s on my favourite list!! 🌟 🌟 ⭐ 🌠 💫 (Lyn)
Great idea about...about turning them inside out......Brillant.. Thx 👍👍
I do that with the paper and plastic mailers- I turn them inside out and use them to ship things out.
I have the boxes and I have the wallpaper. I’m so glad I didn’t try covering until I watched your video. Thanks for finding a much easier way than I would have tried.
You are so welcome Colleen!
Absolutely agree! great method! thank you
I've been looking at storage options for my craft stuff, but everything is so expensive. So far I've just been using plain cardboard boxes. No more! Your boxes were as well made as any I've seen, plus the design is custom! Brava!❤
Thank you Patricia!!!
Hands down the BEST video and way to make a storage space! She is detailed and thorough and I like the way she made the storage from a box!❤❤❤
I too have been doing this for years, yes I like to open the boxes up also to give it a precise fit,it makes it look so beautiful afterwards. Sometimes I'll finish the look by putting tassels around the top or drawer pullers on the bottom for legs/feet if I'm making a box to sit out on a counter or dresser.. I made one lined with plastic insert as a planter it turned out beautiful.
Love what you have done! I re-use my boxes as well, but differently. It reminds me of when we went to grade school in the mid-fifties. We were given our new books at beginning of the school year third week of August and told to take them home and cover them with some “ nice paper”. That usually meant “plain Kraft paper”. But it worked just fine. We would then use any design to make it look nice. And it did keep the books in good shape, even though we had to carry them home each night for homework.
With my Amazon boxes I like to tape two or three different ones together, cut some shapes out for “windows” and make little houses for them to play in. But now that I do a lot of gardening, I use most of my boxes for covering large areas of muddy areas to keep myself from slipping if it has been very rainy. I just open the seams to get the largest piece I can. When I finish, I can just pick it up and put it in my stash I keep in the garage, or if I’m working a wet area over a few days, I can just leave it on the ground when I finish for the day. When it dries out I can still use them again, then put it in the garbage. I also try to overwinter certain geraniums by removing all the dirt from the roots, carefully, and loosely wrap the trimmed back plant in newspaper and put them in one of the larger boxes and close the lid. You are right: these boxes are very strong and do the job nicely. Thank you so much for sharing your creative ideas! I have a sewing room and I’m going to make some boxes like yours!
Mind. Blown. I've been using my excess boxes in the yard as a biodegradable layer under my mulch beds. Thank you for another idea....GREAT idea!
You are so welcome!
That's a good idea too. I just took a pickup load of cardboard to the recycling center. But I'm sure there will be more.
I use my excess cardboard boxes to make my No Dig Gardens, Kill Weeds where I do not want them, and send threw my shredder to feed my worm farm or act as a mulch along with my mulch around my plants in ground and potted.
Love what you do and it’s free!
You are so much neater & more precise than I have been, but your demonstration & tips will help me be better.
Love this-it's something anyone can do since you show EVERY step that needs to be done. Thank you.
I’ve always found your authenticity so refreshing - and not, I believe, apart from the elegance of simplicity - even in your choice of tools! I admire you, and what you are giving to others. Thank you. The crafting world needs more like you.
You are too kind! Thank you so much Cindy!
Yes! I am inundated with boxes after I had “stuff” I had in storage deliver to my apartment. Love the self stick textured vinyl which looks nicer then plain old contact paper.
Wow! Thank you!!!!
You are genius! So creative!
Thank you so much Chris! 😊
🎉Beautifully done!
Super idea! I get a lot of deliveries from Amazon in assorted boxes. Covering them for storage is something I can desperately use to store countless items!!
Turning trash into treasures! Love it!😁
Sherry, I really needed this tutorial...because I need the attractive storage all around my house: bedroom, living room, laundry room, kitchen, and craft room! I've decided to wait till I have groups of boxes of the same size and, since these don't have lids, I will make the outside bottom piece just a little larger all around so, when I stack them, they won't fall inside the box below and will sit more securely on top of each other. It might work to just make it bigger front and back (2 sides only) or on each side (2 only), as well.
Charlotte Z. I like your idea; Personally, I think your idea of making the bottom larger would be best for stacking them. I think if you make two sides taller, eventually those extended sides would break down or bend and weaken and not look as nice. That’s if I have a correct picture of what you’ve described in my mind. If you make these, please give us an update and let us know how they turned out. I can’t wait to make some myself.
Oh my goodness, I am not a paper crafter, I am a maker of quilts, but happened upon your channel by accident. This is exactly what I need to store my fabric precuts! I am so excited to do this!
I love your videos! So often, I click on a video and the person talks and talks before getting to the project. I just exit the video before actually getting to the project. It is so refreshing to find someone as creative and knowledgeable as you are. Thank you!!!
YOU’RE KIDDING ME! What a great idea!,
Once again, Sherry, you have knocked this project out of the ballpark! Amazing! You have blown my mind with another project!
Awesome Terry!!! Thank you so much for watching!!!
I LOVE THIS! I am always moaning about how I can never find storage solutions I really like that work for me...well now, as long as I can find some peel and stick I like the pattern of, I can make my own. And sizes and shapes can be as varied as the cardboard boxes I come across. So happy. Grateful to you and for you, Posh Paper Lady!
Thank you so much!
Where do you purchase the snaps you used. I like that you clearly explain each step, love how precise you are and ow great it is to use all those boxes I felt guilty about throwing away . I also made a wastebasket to match my work area. You're so smart.
I just bought some beautiful wrapping paper at my local dollar tree that coordinates amazingly well with the wall color in my craft room. I’m looking forward to making storage containers.
I’m not a fan of wrapping paper. It does not last as long.
The shelving paper sticks & lasts longer.
Did you try using your wrapping paper, Karen Lee? I’m over here feeling so sad that I don’t have any peel and stick stuff! I’ve been trying to think of what else I could use, but I’m not sure anything else would work for this … first world problems 🙄 lol
You can use the peel and stick shelf liner from the dollar tree they aren't as wide a roll or as long as wallpaper, but you can usually get enough to do the job for just a couple bucks a box or 2.
BEAUTIFUL JOB, THANKS FOR THE GREAT IDEA
I LOVE THIS. I love the waste not, want not, part. Plus making something useful, and needed out of the empty boxes. Less landfill.
Amen, my husband will love that I am watching this since we have a small box store of leftover boxes in our basement. I agree about the about of boxes you get with little of none inside.
Beautiful. I just get excited reusing my boxes to make my cat her outside kitty condos for when she chooses to stay out instead of playing inside with a box. Impressive work.
What a great idea! I can also see creating permanent reusable Christmas present boxes using this method if I can find some bright self adhesive wallpaper. Thanks for the inspiration.
You are welcome Michele!!!!
Natural born teacher. Gift!
I am so glad that UA-cam suggested your channel!
Welcome to my channel Ivory Pearl! Since you are new to my channel I am adding a playlist that might be helpful ua-cam.com/play/PLYkzy7CwEmzb5z4blannOwFDGRHMB-BUW.html Please remember to like and subscribe. Thanks
I love your clear directions and using these boxes again. Do you have a video on making the tops for the “new” boxes?
Sherry, I have been saving sturdy boxes since forever! I knew I wanted to do something with them, just didn't know what. Guess what...now I know! I can hardly wait to get started. Thank you so much for being so awesome!
You can do it Zelma!
I love how neatly this was done. Great inspiration here! Ill never look at a shipping box the same way again. Thank you!
You are very welcome Keri !!
What a save of money and the environment. Thank you for this DIY. I plan to sell this kind of stuff.
Opening the box makes the paper adhered to it look so much better
I have seen others cover boxes before and they look nice, I was going to do it that way, but there are almost always bubbles under the wallpaper/contact paper. I LOVE the way you showed us!!! I have to make a box for my living room with a lid to store our couch blankets/throws!! Thank you for this tutorial. LoVE IT
I have also had the bubbles issue while covering boxes. Sometimes the contact paper begins to to lose it's adhesiveness after a while and starts peeling. I like how she secures it with snaps and double-sided tape.
I thought at first when you said, "I hope you're having a fantastic day" and then said, "We all have them, now let's repurpose them" - was thinking you were referring to fantastic days. LOLOL. Great video, by the way!
Love that!
I did too
Ohhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyy goodness! I can barely wait for this one! Ugh. Living so far out of town etc. plus the COVID shutdown, we have had to deal with so many boxes. I am an eager student for this tutorial! Bring it!
👏👏You are AWESOME! I enjoy watching you. Not only do you have wonderful ideas you have the talent to explain how to do it! Much thanks!
Thank you so much!
Sherry, this idea is a gamechanger!! Thank you for another great idea!!
And just think, free boxes delivered to us. I so appreciate reusing what we can when possible.
You are so welcome!
Sherry, I have been hooked on your videos since I discovered them a few weeks ago. I learn so much and have already purchased some of the items and tools that you use. Every video is amazing! You are so innovative and an awesome instructor!! Thank you thank thank you for very informative and creative tutorials!! Xoxo
You are so welcome!
This is awesome! I was just thinking about doing this sort of thing, but it was not going to turn out nearly as nice looking as yours! The technique you use is going to be so helpful to me!
You can do it Smovakpro!
What a great idea. Maybe I can organize my hall closet finally.
Go for it Cathy!
Can you come help me when your done with yours!? LOL
Love all the ideas, thanks!👍🥰
You are so welcome Carmen!
What could anyone complain about? It's just jealousy.❤😊 Thanks for sharing your thoughts and talent.
😊 thank you
Wonderfully clear and precise instructions! I have LOADS of boxes….. now I know exactly what to do with them! I’m hoping it’ll work just as well without the wooden base or the rivets as I don’t have any. I’ll glue the box as the wallpaper I have is actual paper. I also want to use up fabric scraps, so my boxes will look like patchwork. I’ll use spray varnish afterwards to ensure an easy-clean finish. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve just subscribed!
Such a great storage and organization idea for teachers and/or college students. It's perfect!
It really is Marelyn!
I just love this project! You’re sooooo inspiring!
Wow, thank you!
🌟🌟🌟PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE CHECKING THE DESCRIPTION BOX IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOME OF THE ITEMS USED IN THIS VIDEO. If you do not see a link for the item you want, then unfortunately I go not have one. THANKS!!
AWESOME idea!!!!!!!! Wonderful tutorial!!!!!! Makes me shudder to think of all the boxes that get tossed every day!!!!!!!
This is a truly great and timely find for me! I am about to start a box project this method will be perfect for. Plus, I love that you call your little hammer "Chunky". Mine is named "Short Shanks" and has done everything from small space hammering to pulling up carpet and putting down laminate flooring.
This is a great way to reuse those boxes. I have contemplated using banker boxes with attached lids in my loft and painting or covering, but it always seemed like an arduous task ts o cut and measure paper or fabric to cover. For some reason I never thought about deconstructing the box first. Sometimes the best options are the simplest. Thanks for this video, Sherry!
Thanks RosieMae…I like I keep it as simple as possible. Those bankers boxes should be fun😀😀😀
Thank you, thank you! I have been trying to make pretty boxes for containers and you have just shown me how to do it more successfully.
You are so welcome!
You're like the Mr. Roger's of crafting. So calming. Just love your manner of instructing..
Geez ...so smart!!
Was planning on doing decoupage to cover some really sturdy cardboard boxes, but the self-stick wallpaper seems like a way better way to make sure the boxes all match.
They should also be as easy to wipe clean as the decoupage would've been.
Thanks for sharing a really great idea.
Love this idea for bringing my craft room to a more unified look 😁. Thank you Sheri ❤
Love this project, I've got ten tons of boxes I need to use and need for storage 👍🏻 I've wrapped boxes before as they stood, in wrapping paper. I guess you could use contact paper too. That design on the wallpaper is so gorgeous, looks like fabric, lovely 👍🏻 you can make it to go in any room you want, have it more bright and colourful for a kids room, also possibly with icons on like unicorns or dinosaurs or something. Possibilities are endless with this 😄👍🏻👍🏻 xxx
Emma, I just attempted to do an amazon box with dollar tree contact paper. I wanted to try that first before using my good wallpaper. Didn't do that well. To thin and didn't stick very well. Thankfully I have plenty of boxes to spare. This is such a great idea to recycle some of the stuff I've collected.
This is genius… now I know why I’ve been hoarding boxes for all of these years. My husband will be thrilled to see them covered and useful instead of “neatly” piled up in the spare room!!
Wonderful! Trash cans and any kind of storage boxes. Gifts also! This lady is great!
This might be my favorite video of yours ever!!! I love this idea. Question-do you think shelf contact paper could also be used instead of self adhesive wallpaper?
Sherry about never cease to amaze us!
What an innovative way to "re-purpose" all those cardboard boxes we receive!!!
👍
Thanks so much!
Just broke down some sturdy packing boxes and stored in my stash.
Yaaaaaay……..
First time having what’s needed for a tutorial……..do not have to try to find 🤗🤗🤗 some supplies I know won’t be at the dollar tree store😊
You talk so clearly as you work. You're great. Thank you
Thank you so much!!
Your videos are really good. Keep it up. Thanks
Sherry, I get a lot of my medications delivered in styrofoam coolers every month. They are clean and sturdy and I hate to just throw them out. Do you have any upcycling ideas? I really love your upcycling cardboard box project. Thanks
Yes me too..i actually, begrudgingly just threw out 3 of them because I didn't have an idea for them. I kept the really big ones to store my Xmas Village in the shed. They are ceramic and now they are safe.
@@buckiannscreations9089 , I would be interested in getting them from you, I could pay to have them shipped to me if you are interested.
I sale Betta's and styrofoam cooler's are the safest way to ship them in the USA, because I have to use ice and heat packs due to the weather. Any size would be good, but the smaller ones are better.
I have styrofoam coolers , too, from meat packed in dry ice.
@@buckiannscreations9089 meals on wheels may appreciate the styrofoam boxes to deliver to seniors. Sometimes they have to leave it on thr porch
Put it up for free on Facebook, or some other community page. Many people have a use for those and will gladly pick up a bunch when you have accumulated them.
What a fabulous idea. This is amazing. Am so going to try it after a successful attempt at your placemat tote bag! Love your tutorials. Thanks for sharing.
Have fun Jo!
I am watching you for the first time-Yay ya! Thank you for sharing a way to repurpose all those annoying boxes. Such skill in your tactile approach (am I saying that right?) to fabricate this form so successfully . I have most of the tools but dying to get my hands on that stubby hammer you have, you made my day 🤗
WELCOME MOLLY!!! Thank you so much😀
That finger-blade is amazing! I’ve never seen such a tool!
You opened a new world for me. Am a sewer and happened upon you; am glad I did
Thank you Penney!
Great! I’m new to your channel! I have a lot of boxes now from ordering for the 2021 holidays. I’ll save them now to do this! A fabulous idea for storage. Including underbed decorative boxes. I may add wheels on those!

Genius!!! I keep saying ‘when I’ve sent all these boxes to recycling, I can get on with my crafting 🙄’
A little lateral thinking from you, my dear, gives me a great project & a much brighter future! Thank you so much!
From Brighton 🌈 UK, take care & be well! 🙏🏻🌹🙏🏽
You are very welcome Barbara!!!
Again, thank you for giving such excellent instructions! You talk perfectly, while modeling the process!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks SO much for this video! I had you in mind last night when I went shopping for contact paper! Over 32 feet of it to be exact! I LOVE the pattern I bought, and I can't wait to dig into some of these ugly boxes I've got. ;-) BIG HUGS from SW Missouri!
You are very welcome Barbara!!!
You are so good at showing me how to do it. And talking and your links. Thank you
You are so welcome!
My favorite thing to craft with is cardboard box’s and make beautiful items
You are a genius!
Thank you so much to share your talent with us!!! ❤️
Stick and peel wallpaper is a revelation to me! Also, the snap fastening is genius ♡♡♡

I am saving cereal boxes for "junk journals" & Momentos journals! I have also saved Tide detergent boxes for years to save my children's school papers! At the end of the school year I let the child decorate with artwork, photos of highlighted events, & Momentos to make like a "scrapbook" page on box. What a treasure!
I would never believe you are lazy, your attention to detail, and how you like things to look finished! I love your channel! Sp glad I found you xx stay safe!
This is such a clever idea! Your method makes a box that's attractive enough to use as a gift.
Oh wow!!! I just LOVE this box up cycling!!! Just what I have needed!! Bless you dear one!!!’
You have just solved a huge problem that I have. No budget, lots of boxes, and a need for cute storage. Thank you!!!
Awesome look out of junk box. I know where I am going to be spending some money. Not on storage boxes! Thank you so very much.
You are so welcome!
As a person who finds ways to recycle, I am blown away by your creativity & forethought on how beautifully you recycle those boxes! 🤗
Thank you for your lesson on "How To," recycle a box & make it not only useful but beautiful!! 👋
BRAVO!!!
You're my recycling Hero! 💖it!!
So creative! And who doesn't get a ridiculous amount of Amazon or other shipping boxes!!
I'm so happy I found you!!
