I like hearing your actual experiences because the fact that you are aware of certain qualities both good & bad it makes really listen to what you're saying because I feel like, you get it. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean...which means for me I can safely say...Angeschka gets what I like & dislike... I'll wait for her review before I make that online purchase on products I cannot test in person even though the skintones are opposite...I can appreciate the info & be able to gage what would work or be something I would like.
I wonder how many clean at Sephora brands will stay open long term when so many products end up going off ridiculously fast. It’s unjustifiable for me to pay 20/30+ bucks for something that barely has a shelf life
Same. I tried the Maybelline skin tint recently and I love it.. and it's hilarious she said it reminded her of the Mario foundation because that's my TOP fave foundation 😅 but I get it shes got different skin. I'm soooo dry. From Vermont. I need all the glow. 😅
I remember the Tarte blush video, it lives rent-free in my mind 🤡 The good thing about Mexico is we don't have a lot of those "clean" brands in Sephora, so I don't have to deal with items going bad before I can think of using them again 😅
The Tarte palette is not a nightmare; it's a NIGHT TERROR 😱 that I wish upon no one. Bless you for saving the rest of us from that trauma 😂 Utterly stunning purple eye look tho! 💜
BESTIE!!! I ran out of my milk yesterday so I was able to pull out the one you brought me!!! Also the Kosas bronzer can kick rocks. It’s the worst ever!
I appreciate how you showed us the sad Tarte purple look next to today’s stunning purples. Really puts into perspective what a GOOD purple can look like! 💜
For me it was the Tower 28 mascara. I loved it for about one month. Into month 2 it already started to smell a little weird and didn’t work as well. Natural companies really need to learn what a preservative is for.
Tower 28 uses preservatives. They are legally bound to use them. They have products that I can't use becauseI react with one of their preservatives. That mascara is just bad. Drugstore mascaras can.go bad pretty quickly, too. Ilia is also a clean beauty brand with two of the best mascaras on the market. I've had them for months. No bad smells, not drying out, and no irritation.
The Kosas bronzer fail spoke to my SOUL ;; I just can’t be bothered anymore with “clean beauty” brands that claim to be skin-loving and so much safer to use than regular cosmetics. I’m not someone with a large beauty budget, so I’m always collecting and sitting on product reviews, swatch comparisons, etc., biding my time to buy what really speaks to my tastes the most when I have the means to do so, so it’s super disappointing to find gems (like the Ami Colé lip oils-genuinely such a stunning product) that turn out to have major stability issues (having, say, a 6-12 month shelf life and STILL going off within a couple months of buying them) that the brands flat-out deny and refuse to reformulate for, just to hold onto that “clean at Sephora” title ☹️ it’s such a bummer that that’s their brand strategy, to keep customers buying their products (which are not cheap), then tossing and repurchasing once they unfailingly begin to smell rancid or grow mold
They can't even survive the shipping conditions to reach overseas buyers in good condition. I'm in New Zealand and even new release "clean" products arrive rancid or separated I'm over it.
The look you got with Tarte palette: my first thought was "why, that's a good Halloween costume makeup" :). LOL, the way the blend looked was in fact ridiculous, I'm happy I didn't buy that palette
Wow can't agree more with pretty much everything I tried in this list! I also hated the rare beauty lip oil, it was awful. It didn't work as a lip oil or a lip stain for me, it didn't look good and it dried out my lips too. I think it was over hyped for sure, And yes, giant ughhhh to the merit eyeshadows!!! I read temptalias review of them and laughed out loud! She was brutal but completely honest like your review.
I actually really like the Sephora blushes but it has to be the matte ones!! The matte ones are so smooth and not too pigmented! You’ve got to try those!!
We all have such different preferences when it comes to makeup, so I like to read both the highest and the lowest reviews when shopping for products to get a better sense of whether it will work for my skin type and my makeup preferences
I don't get the burning lips concept. I had one that was like that a few years ago and it was a hard no on those ever since. Thanks for taking one for the team.
I’m so addicted to watching your videos!!! I’m in severe heart failure and I’m on disability, so I get extremely bored sitting at home all day. UA-cam is my hobby and I just started my own makeup channel because you and Samantha March inspired me to create my own channel. So I just want to tell you thank you! I’m enjoying my journey of figuring out editing and everything! It’s a lot of work I am finding out, so I appreciate all that you do for your subscribers! ❤️🫶🏻just wanted to send you some love!!!
Hallo, I agree with so many of these. Seemed like I was the odd one out who doesn't like Merit shadow ( hated) and meh on the blush. Glad someone else agreed with me.
As someone who never really buys the newest new, this and your declutter series are the videos I wait for at the end of the year, so I know what to avoid and save myself some money! Great, balanced video (as always).
The purple look on you is chef's kiss! I'm a bit confused by any face product that have that little puff thingy at the end. It's a nightmare for me in application. I'm literaly painting my face with these so not for me😅.
Girl, you just saved me lots of money as a lot of the products you mentioned were on my Ulta wishlist. I have similar skin type as you (oily combo) so hearing how certain products worked on you is a no go for me! 😂
So I did this eye look yesterday for work, and got so many compliments. Thank you for always inspiring me Angie! You remind me that I’m never too old to have fun with makeup.
I don't buy make-up that often and when I do I try to use it all the way up before I buy new a new one. So your videos that help me avoiding bad products is so super valueable!!
Good luck with doing full face of worst with these. Look forward to seeing it I remember all of these separately but man this will be tough all together
I think the Maybelline skin tint really depends on your skin type. I have dry skin and live in Dallas, and I absolutely love it. It's not sticky or too luminance for me when so many foundations make my skin look very dry/dull.
This year I bought so little, mostly decluttered tbh. But still ended up with buying some horrible products, and some products that just didn't fit me. Like the overhyped Haus Labs foundation lol, I looked so sweaty with it on x.x
I wouldn't have guessed that your eye look was from your little ghost palette. That palette is so versatile! So many looks, especially when you pair it with your orangey palette.
The explanations are everything, I love that you go in depth so we understand the feedback. Those videos are just must to better understand what works or didn’t and what were the criteria!
I don’t think I tried anything that came out in 2023, but my biggest fail would be that I finally tried the Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas and it made my makeup move around a lot more than if I hadn’t used a primer.
Thanks Angie for the heads up about those Revlon lippies. I'll keep using my fave liquid lipsticks instead. I like transfer-proof, not 'crumbles if you press your lips together'. Have to agree with the comments too, your all 💜 eyelook is gorgeous! 🔥🔥🔥
My worst products would probably be EVERY brow freeze and soap brow product I’ve tried. My brows hairs change shape with NOTHING because they are too coarse I think. I’ve given up on trying to make them look like anybody else’s brows. Sometimes we just gotta accept and love what we got instead of trying to change ourselves I guess. But I’ll still fix up what will take fixing up lol.
The worst makeup I tried this year was the elf power grip and elf camo concealer, Cant believe they are so popular, my makeup cracked like it never had before with every foundation I own and the concealer is DRY like omg cant even blend into my foundation, and I have oily skin🤣
I like the Maybelline skintint. Although I don't have a perfect shade, but it's close enough. But I have to say, I can only wear it with my most matte sunscreen, the Missha soft finish. And I have to powder it down. I have normal skin and I live in a moderate climate. I will not repurchase it, but I do like it.
So many makeup UA-camrs love that skin tint, I have heard it compared to makeup by Mario in a good way. Hadn't heard anyone else talk about it feeling sticky, would not be surprised if the Austin climate exacerbated problems. I really want to try it, bc I have the opposite skin type & preferences with base makeup!
I totally agree with you for the rare beauty oils ! The only way I have managed to make them work is above a rich balm (honey balm from nuxe) so that I have the stain without the dryness !😊
Thank you for saving us some money! I 100% agree with you on the foreplay palettes! That was one of the worst eyeshadow palette formulas I've tried since started my makeup journey!
I’m obsessed with this makeup look! And about drugstore eyeshadows, it’s a shame bh cosmetics is not available in most drugstores in the US, I’ve recently been in Germany and they’re all over the drugstores, it’s a blast. 💜💜💜💜💜
The Lawless Forget The Filler Balms are great and they only tingle a little. They also smell amazing. Definitely would recommend over the Give product.
I had a few duds this year too: the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb was so bad because it would go on ok and look fine but then by the time I was done with my makeup it'd be gone, and it wasn't that pigmented to begin with. Also, the Catrice True Skin concealer I think is bad because while it goes on nice, it will really emphasize texture, look so dry and I'm surprised it's been on other's favorites lists for years. Lol. And the Colourpop Pretty Fresh foundation for me was way too dewy and I have dry skin. Enjoyed watching this. 😊
I can’t stand when products go bad quickly. My Tower 28 lip glosses went bad rather quickly. The clear one, in particular, went moldy in less than a year. My Ulta Beauty liquid eyeshadow in Game Over was purchased in mid February 2023. I went to use it this week. I nearly fell over because of the paint smell coming out of the tube. 😢
I absolutely love the way Kosas products perform. The shade ranges for olive skin makes me happy to finally find a company that understands that undertone BUT they need to use better preservatives. Use parabens or something. Damn.
I think that the worst would be the kosas bronzer just because it can go bad super quick. Then maybe it's between the palette and the crumbly lipstick 🤔
I almost bought the sticky skin-"tint" but did not after your first review. Thank you for saving me the disappointment (it was so highly recommended by so many other people).
I actually really like the colourpop serum blush and I have the colour bubbles, which is a dark red. The colour here actually shows up quite a lot, and the sheer texture will give you a natural flush. So if you like natural looking make up or Korean makeup looks, this is definitely for you.
getting flashback to the Too Faced chocolate bar palette. It had a similar shade to that purple and it was dry and sad as well. 😅 But everyone loved that palette years ago
I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon with the Helaween palettes, but I have both now and love them! Thanks for posting the short with this eye look!
That Maybelline skin tint is my go to foundation at the moment. I mix it with a lighter coloured bb creme to get my perfect shade match now that it is colder. But I do agree it's not a skin tint. I live in the Netherlands and with our cold, rainy weather and my combination skin it works perfect. Dewy but not shiny and dries down.
I give up on Kosas as well! I’m tired of buying products that don’t last at all. I understand everything will go off given enough time, but it’s a bit ridiculous how fast my last 3 purchases smelled rank!
I remember those plumping lip products & your reaction. That was a telltale worst in beauty products lol. But i do enjoy your opinions on why these products were so bad. I haven't tried anything from Kosas bc im not willing to buy something that might expire as fast as theirs seems to.
This eyelook is amazing, the look as a whole, with the tone of the lipstick and the hair swept to one side. Looks very movie star glamorous. 😍 I'm wondering of course, if you have a purple lipstick to match the eyelook, because I'm that kinda colourful clown
Yeah, my skin is cracking, so that Tarte "tint" feels so good, then stops looking greasy in a little while. Lightly powder my under eyes and smile lines.
Omg that Tarte palette did you SO dirty! I remember that video! If you want a nice drug store matte lipstick, I HIGHLY recommend the Maybelline Ultimatte Slim Lipsticks. Such a nice formula, the product shape is cut perfectly, and it wears really well. I have 2 of them!
The winner have been contacted and have gotten back to me :)

This is a great video! Very helpful to know what to avoid
I love a leopard print top and need to try the purple shadow with it. Chef's kiss!
Thank you
Where did you get your leopard dress?
I like hearing your actual experiences because the fact that you are aware of certain qualities both good & bad it makes really listen to what you're saying because I feel like, you get it.

I wonder how many clean at Sephora brands will stay open long term when so many products end up going off ridiculously fast. It’s unjustifiable for me to pay 20/30+ bucks for something that barely has a shelf life
that’s why i’ll never buy that clean and natural nonsense. they have terrible preservative systems. not surprised their products go bad so quickly
Yes! Way too expensive
This has to be one of your best eyelooks this year. Something about that purple 💜 is stunning!!!
Oh thank you!
Rite??? She says she doesn't look good in cool tones? I beg to differ!
@@amysmithssportsandmakeup1397agreed!!
Yess agreed. I love it 💜
Gorgeous eye look!!! ❤
As a dry girlie, I kind of look forward to this video every year haha if you say a complexion product is too dewy, I’ll probably love it 😂

Lip plumping will never be my thing, but I am happy that there's good options out there for those that love it!
Wow can't agree more with pretty much everything I tried in this list! I also hated the rare beauty lip oil, it was awful. It didn't work as a lip oil or a lip stain for me, it didn't look good and it dried out my lips too. I think it was over hyped for sure,

The purple eyes and cheetah print go so well together!
The purple eye with the cheetah top is such a great combo. Love the hair and lip too
I actually really like the Sephora blushes but it has to be the matte ones!! The matte ones are so smooth and not too pigmented! You’ve got to try those!!
We all have such different preferences when it comes to makeup, so I like to read both the highest and the lowest reviews when shopping for products to get a better sense of whether it will work for my skin type and my makeup preferences
I’m with you when it comes to these burn-your-lips plumping items. Not for me. Love the purple eyes though 🔥🔥🔥
Excited to see these products in a full face! Sometimes you just need to do a look you know you're washing off 😂
I don't get the burning lips concept. I had one that was like that a few years ago and it was a hard no on those ever since. Thanks for taking one for the team.

I’m drier than a desert so when she says something is too moisturizing I’m like “hmmm…” 😂
This eye look and the leopard print is a total serve! 🔥
Love seeing people's worst make up products...it's interesting to see what works for some may not work for others...❤
Thanks for the warnings about the painful lip plumpers. I'm such a wimp, I'll be steering clear for sure
Stunning purple, look !not everybody could love everything. That's just the way it is love your honesty.
My flop product this year was a Morphe Highlighter
So I did this eye look yesterday for work, and got so many compliments. Thank you for always inspiring me Angie! You remind me that I’m never too old to have fun with makeup.
I don't buy make-up that often and when I do I try to use it all the way up before I buy new a new one. So your videos that help me avoiding bad products is so super valueable!!

Totally agree with the tarte foundation - it makes your face look so sweaty! I have dry skin and, no way, too much!
This year I bought so little, mostly decluttered tbh. But still ended up with buying some horrible products, and some products that just didn't fit me. Like the overhyped Haus Labs foundation lol, I looked so sweaty with it on x.x

Omg, that purple is gorgeous on you!
Loving the look today! Very 80s 90s power house glamour look. 💜
This hairstyle is so cool and that eyelook looks so fierce!! Love it!!
I don’t think I tried anything that came out in 2023, but my biggest fail would be that I finally tried the Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas and it made my makeup move around a lot more than if I hadn’t used a primer.
I really have to agree with your opinion of that Tarte Maracuja Glow whatever foundation junk - it’s absolutely HORRIBLE. 👎
Thanks Angie for the heads up about those Revlon lippies. I'll keep using my fave liquid lipsticks instead. I like transfer-proof, not 'crumbles if you press your lips together'.
Have to agree with the comments too, your all 💜 eyelook is gorgeous! 🔥🔥🔥
All the face products making everyone look like butter 😂😂😂
All the sassy in this video made my husband laugh. It was great!
Agreed. We're not going to enjoy everything we try.
The worst makeup I tried this year was the elf power grip and elf camo concealer, Cant believe they are so popular, my makeup cracked like it never had before with every foundation I own and the concealer is DRY like omg cant even blend into my foundation, and I have oily skin🤣
Yes, that Glowish concealer! What a disaster 😂. Definitely one of my biggest disappointments in MakeUp as well this year 🙈
so right about the stila lip stains! wanted to love them so badly but they don’t last at all😢
That purple makes your eyes look mesmerizing!
“If you like torturing yourself, this will be your tool” 😹😹😹
Dying at the Ego palette… will forever go down in infamy. Love this video!
When I saw the short with the perfect purple eye look 💜, it made me happy that you used Little Ghost. Glad I have it in my collection.
Ange I totally agree about the Rare beauty "Lip Oil"... it was absolutely marketed incorrectly
I agree 10000% about the GXVE lip balm. I bought one, put it on, and immediately wiped it off.
I’m obsessed with this makeup look! And about drugstore eyeshadows, it’s a shame bh cosmetics is not available in most drugstores in the US, I’ve recently been in Germany and they’re all over the drugstores, it’s a blast. 💜💜💜💜💜
Purple is my favorite eye shadow color!
That Tarte shadow was dreadful! I can see why you had to ditch that look! Thank you for providing useful and entertaining content for us. ❤
The Lawless Forget The Filler Balms are great and they only tingle a little. They also smell amazing. Definitely would recommend over the Give product.
I had a few duds this year too:
the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb was so bad because it would go on ok and look fine but then by the time I was done with my makeup it'd be gone, and it wasn't that pigmented to begin with.
Purple looks are my favorite and I absolutely LOVE this look
I have wrinkly and dry eyelids, and I’m glad you talked about the Merit shadows. I was gonna buy some. I don’t think I will now. Ew.
I laughed out loud a few times. This was entertaining! In this day and age, I thought it would be hard to find bad make up, but guess not ❤😂
I absolutely love the way Kosas products perform. The shade ranges for olive skin makes me happy to finally find a company that understands that undertone BUT they need to use better preservatives. Use parabens or something. Damn.
I actually do pretty much this same eye look with your Little Ghost palette all the time and always get compliments. So pretty 😍💜
I think that the worst would be the kosas bronzer just because it can go bad super quick. Then maybe it's between the palette and the crumbly lipstick 🤔
Lol at the merit solo shadows 😂😂 already knew it would be on this list haha
Love it when you wear purples! I was lucky this year, i didn't have a product that I disliked!
I love worst products type of video, knew Merit and Tarte palette would be there haha 🤭 have a great start of the week, Angie 🧡🧡🧡
currently wearing the reds/oranges in the little ghost palette and i have been loving all the looks i’ve done so far 🥰
I almost bought the sticky skin-"tint" but did not after your first review. Thank you for saving me the disappointment (it was so highly recommended by so many other people).
Thankyou for being so honest, upfront and descriptive with your reviews
I wanted to buy the Colorstay skin tint but I’m so glad I saw this video first. No thank you! You’re the best.
Oh my, the difference between the tarte makeup look and what you're wearing in the video 😅🙈 stunning purple look, I'll have to try that on me! 💜
Something about seeing the worst of the year is just so fun
I just tried the Refy brow sculpt and it has the best hold of anything I've tried lately!
I feel like I've seen so many videos and comments talking about how Kosas' products are going back quick. I think I'll be saving my money with them
the idea of a plumping lip product is so scary to me haha.. literal toxins on my face!
I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon with the Helaween palettes, but I have both now and love them! Thanks for posting the short with this eye look!
I love how unapologetically honest you are and how funny you are describing your opinions on certain things! Never miss an episode 💖
The L.A Girl 16 pan palettes, I think, have a better formula than the others. I recommend trying those.
I remember those plumping lip products & your reaction. That was a telltale worst in beauty products lol. But i do enjoy your opinions on why these products were so bad. I haven't tried anything from Kosas bc im not willing to buy something that might expire as fast as theirs seems to.
I still think about that tarte palette and your eye look🤣🤣never laughed so hard. you look gorgeous angie!
I appreciate how honest you are in your videos.
Your honest reviews have been a huge money saver for me over the years. Really love that you always give your honest feedback! ❤❤❤
I love a purple eyeshadow look and this one blow it out the park - you look AMAZING!!
Thanx God there's someone like you who helps me how to soend better my tiny beauty budget 🙏🙏🙏
The JCat eyeshadow are the best drugstore eyeshadows I've tried
Omg that Tarte palette did you SO dirty! I remember that video! If you want a nice drug store matte lipstick, I HIGHLY recommend the Maybelline Ultimatte Slim Lipsticks. Such a nice formula, the product shape is cut perfectly, and it wears really well. I have 2 of them!
