- I am a huge found footage horror fan, which is why I love screen life horror movies. In this video, I'm talking about some of the best desktop horror movies that utilize webcams, chat rooms, etc. to tell the story. From Collingswood Story to Host and Megan is Missing, these are the most notable ones you should definitely check out. What movies would you add to this list?

The Den needs a sequel, the ending makes the entire movie massively rewatchable.
Another good video. I love these modern horror movies that have computer/internet as the main focus.
Host is the first of this genre I watched. Man-oh-man, it scared me. Probably because lock downs made it more personal to me. Searching is a great movie too. Felt like a fresh story. Didn't realize Missing is a sequel, I loved it too. Keep up good work.
Host legitimately scared me too!
Agreed, these type of movies are so addicting. Loved Host,Collingswood story,Dark web and searching. Excited to check out these other ones !
thanks for the recs!
I'm glad you brought up The Collingswood Story, it's a highly underrated found footage film, like Exhibit A or Home Movie.
I still need to watch Exhibit A!
Another great video from the gorgeous Mandy. How do you find time to watch all these? lol. I finally watched Autopsy of Jane Doe. Can’t believe I waited that long. Great movie! Are most of these on Tubi?
I think I'm one of the few that liked Friend Request !
A couple years back there was a Russian one on the festival circuit about the Blue Whale challenge, produced by the director of Wanted I think !?
I need to watch both of those! I couldn’t find Blue Whale anywhere though last time I checked
I like Missing. I haven’t seen Searching yet. I like John Cho from Harold & Kumar.
Last Saturday I watched a screen life movie called Death Web which is about as fun as having to attend a work meeting on Monday morning. Fortunately you recorded this video to remind me about good movies of this type. I didn't know about Ratter, I need to watch it as soon as possible. Thanks for the video!
Aw, sad to hear Death Web wasn’t that good. Hope you enjoy my recs!
I've never heard of Ratter, gonna check it out as soon as it gets darker, I need some ambiance! :)
I've read the synopsis for Megan is missing, I knew that it contained elements I just don't want to see, so that was enough for me. It doesn't sound like an enjoyable experience to watch.
Love this theme for a video, I really like these kinds of movies, there is just something so raw about them, the format is so very effective.
Honestly, you aren’t missing much by not watching Megan is Missing!
Excellent list! I have several of these movies in my video library. Following the style, Maybe I could add... Cam (2018)
I had no idea unfriended had a sequal, gonna check it out.
Hope you enjoy!
Host and the original Unfriended are probably my favorites in the sub genre, but I have to admit I am one of the few who actually likes Megan is Missing as a weird guilty pleasure. (I own 2 copies) It's actually even more sad if you dig into the real life case that most of the movie is based on (Miranda Gaddis and Ashley Pond) Love these type of videos, could listen to you recommend films all day long.
I didn’t know the case it was based on - I’ll have to look into that!
Have u seen E-Demon and Dash Cam? Not the Rob Savage film.
Also the British ones directed by Richard Mansfield.
The Investigation: A Haunting in Sherwood.
The House on Mansfield Street
The Mansfield Ghost
13 Sherwood Avenue
another movie that fits this genre and is also similar to Host is Safer at Home.
Ohhhh I don’t think I’ve heard of this - thanks for the rec!
@@mandysmorgueofhorror you're welcome
I don’t know if you’ve seen Profile, but it fits into this theme. It’s more of a thriller, but the content itself is terrifying. I highly recommend you watching it
I actually watched that right after this video. It was very good. Thank you!
You would love the movie the den
You are by far the prettiest girl ive seen ever and your personality is great....i love your videos
You need to check out My Little Eye, very cool film
OMG I love My Little Eye and wish it was available for streaming. I thankfully have the dvd!
I remember watching Megan is Missing during the pandemic time because it started trending. It was so bad to me. Plus i rarely like seeing S/A in horror movies ! But I can’t wait to checkkk out the othersss
That was crazy when it blew up on TikTok lol. Some people on there think it’s actually real footage 😅
@@mandysmorgueofhorror I already knew of the film before it even blew up on TikTok (pretty sure I watched YMS video on it is what was the first time I've heard of the film)
Safer at home from 2021
i try to avoid movies with graphic and even not so graphic sexual assaults and also movies about human trafficking. i dont want to be depressed over a movie that is supposed to entertain me.
Cab`t say I`m a fan of found footage movies although I am open-minded.
