Im still rooting for Fred. Lets get em champ
Fred wasn't lying, the block issue was so unprofessional. It happened in both the 100 and 200 for men. And the race officials took forever to solve the problem in the 100m. If he thought it took so long he was no longer warmed up then he made the right choice. Why risk an injury just before US trials and the Olympics?
It was twice as long to resolve in the 200. No one quit and walked off. They actually replaced most of the blocks and had to get people to stand on them at the start of the race. Still, everyone lined up.
@@kpat3052 that's irrelevant. Fred made the decision based on how he felt. The guys in the 200m must've felt ok to race.
@NelleBligh333 I just made a statement. As in stated facts. If you think that's why he didn't run today, I have a beach house in Idaho that I would like to sell you. 😂
Y'all are forgetting that athletes need to meet the Olympic standard times in order to compete at the Olympics. Hence why they race in these meets in the first place. Kerley hasn't met the standard yet this season, and it looks like his only chance left is at the US trials.
@@kpat3052 "I just made a statement. As in stated facts." No, you clearly made an insinuation when you said: "No one quit and walked off", meaning Kerley was unjustified, that he should have stayed. That is obviously an opinion, a value judgment, not a "fact".
Love that Fred - T&F is a lifestyle: pressure us not knowing where you are going to sleep at night.
I am here to congratulate Fred on his 9:57 secs world record run!😅😅😂
He muss be smoking rum….9.58 is bullet speed it’s not easy….that record won’t be breaking till around 2042
Lol 😂😂😂😂
9:57 means Nine minutes and fifty-seven seconds. 100M requires a decimal point (.) and not a colon(:) - Men's 100M WR reflect - 9.58!
I think Fred brings the energy that the fans want to see, but you got to make it ok the blocks and back it up on the track
Fred is on point with this interview. Every question answered precisely n to the point. Periodt!
I love him even more! Man stand your ground up! Those blocks were shitty! For the rest, people will hate! When Jacob does it they say he is confident, Fred does the same thing…he is too arrogant and is isn’t a nice person 😂
lol. it was a blatant and intentional false start. please see the footage. the block slippage is irrelevant.
@@jessicaT12345 the drama started with him not getting back his bag! This was just meant to happen! Imagine Usain Bolt or Noah without their spikes! People would do crazy things for them to get a pair!
Now I am sure he was triggered how all this situation got out of hands and you hand them shitty blocks! I salute the false start, he still wanted to run tho! Let’s see what happens at the trials!
@@jessicaT12345he wasn’t charged with a false start. While it may appear to US he false started, it is quite possible the blocks actually began to slip when he got into the set position, causing him to jump up (I jump up like that when my blocks slip also because I don’t wanna fall and injure myself), but notice he also fell, which means he didn’t jump up into a proper stride. The footage definitely shows it slipping when he got out of the blocks…the blocks clearly slipped, which is not acceptable.
@@patpatson9201I agree. He really wasn’t DQ’d though, everyone…he chose not to run.
les go fred
Sounds like you weren't prepared Fred. Good luck at trials. You will definitely need it.
thompson just got injured. he was right
times he been running nah dog ready my ninja
Worked out well for him in the end lol
@@SD43_ Fred surprised me. I thought he was cooked. Congrats to him.
@@PunanyChemist Eh, let's be real. He made it by the skin of his teeth and he's been talking mad sh*t and acting like he's the GOAT. Let's see if he can peak at the right time and compose himself because right now he's getting beaten by two, 200m runners and would have real trouble with DiShane and Oblique, LET ALONE producing a WR.
"world record next time I touch the 100m"😂
Now I actually prefer the no nonsense Kerley to Noah's Day again that comes to mind approach
Hold them accountable Fred...we loved seeing you in the olympics..
From the stands it looked like Fred had a beef with Lewis on the infield. They were talking, fred walked away, Lewis went to grab his arm and Fred swatted it away and kept walking. Any insight on this?
Yes, because the block situation was absolutely unacceptable, and he wanted them to resolve it. They changed everyone’s blocks who slipped but his…why not?
Elementary school blocks for a pro-meet is ridiculus, might as well bring your own blocks. Not like there had reaction-time wired up to them anyway
His false start was intentional. look at the footage. he didn't want to run.
Honestly why did they have those blocks in the first place
I agree. A world class field should have the very best blocks. No excuses for that.
He's arrogant but I love it!😂
This dude lost the race before he ever set foot in the blocks. I think Fred lives in his own world a little too much.
What's your problem with the guy?Are you just being a troll.
Not trolling; just my opinion. I feel like he creates weird scenarios/excuses instead of just owning being in a rough spot of his career and trying to do better. I’d rather he prove himself by running rather than talking.
Yeah and you’ve won something before haven’t you. In your own little troll world
100% think he jumped on purpose. It wasn't even close.
Fred is a Dogg!!!!
Proof that he is a quiter ..... with all the sophistication he is trying to put on ...he made a fool of himself...he definitely false started on top of the sliding blocks issues... He was a bundle of nerves....he is just off trying to fill those 9:57 shoes 👟 👟 that burns him.
If he was dq wouldn’t there have been a red card?
He wasn’t dq’d
@@ianm8218 yeah ik
Is he seriously claiming that he walked away and chose not to run? Well, maybe he did because he knew he wasn't breaking the WR. Especially in those cold, windy conditions.
so are you saying he faked those slips?
@Dylan-ci6un reading comprehension. Please read my comment and underline where I said anything about a slip. We going to take it back to grammar school.
Wait, what do you mean? He chose not to run…he was not disqualified. Did you not see the footage (?), the officials did not remove him. The block situation was absolutely ridiculous and not acceptable…he could have easily pulled a muscle and/or otherwise injured himself and I agree it is not smart to run, especially with the cold weather and them being out there for so long. Even Sanya Richards-Ross complained leaving them out there in the cold for so long is a big problem. You are right about one thing I kept saying to myself, though, which is GOOD for him he didn’t race because ain’t no damn way he was breaking the WR yesterday, and if he did, it would have been stupid to run that fast that soon. It would have been impossible with those winds, anyhow, but Fred is probably the closest sprinter to WR today in all honesty. He needs to go back to Nike.
My opinion: I don’t mind anybody talking their ish, but please be able to back it up. Fred has been inconsistent.
If there was such a problem with the blocks, he could have easily scratched from the race all together. If the conditions of the blocks are not up to par then don’t get in them.
Now you’ve lost another brand deal and there was no “world record” ran. Until you start producing, let the times do the talking.
This comment section is trash. Clearly very few runners here. There is nothing wrong with the decision he made and there’s nothing wrong with what he said here. The venue should be ashamed of themselves for their shitty equipment and lack of understanding of what runners need. He could have pulled a hamstring running cold. Other runners chose to deal with it, he chose not to, which was a good choice for him. And you sit here and judge. You say you’re not a fan anymore because he didn’t perform for you then seriously you were never a fan and you don’t understand this sport. Sit down.
Nah. Clearly you're young and advocating ignorance. Fred has a terrible attitude and his performances and dismissals are clear indications of that. You need to find a better role model.
Bro you are a hundred percent correct.Professional meet with running blocks looking like training blocks from the 70's.
@@matthewcurlee5181@iamthewolf805 was spot on with his assessment. That role model comment was at best childish and trifling.
@@matthewcurlee5181I am old enough to be his mother. He’s not my role model. I spent 12 years as a competitive runner and have hundreds of races under my belt. Really tired of athletes expected to smile for the camera and make nice with the media and fans. They are there to run and compete and not here to please everyone or entertain you. I respect Fred for his real talk and not taking shit from anyone. All these little cry babies can go home. That venue put runners at risk of serious injury in an Olympic year with their outdated equipment. It was irresponsible and I’m glad he spoke up!
@@mitchumjames4034thank you
Fred was definitely disqualified. Lying in an interview certainly speaks to his character.
False, Fred Kerley was not disqualified. His official result is DNS-Did Not Start.
He left on his own because he didn’t like the blocks bruh
He wasn't DQ'd bozo
Educate yourself
You’re a clownnnnn
This guy is isn’t nice at all
What did he say to make you draw that conclusion. The truth? Did you even see the race or the starting blocks?
I love the dude, but he has only one legitimate excuse--and it ain't the blocks.
ANSWER A FREAKING QUESTION!! Like where all this attitude coming from!? If you don’t want to talk, then don’t stop for an interview.😂🤷🏾♂️
Dude must focus on qualifying for the Olympics @US trials cos at the moment he doesn't look in shape to do that... 👀
Fred mad at the world when he should be mad at himself. He put the target on his own back
Marcell just won the European title. Fred is pulling false starts to get out of races. Big dogs come outdoors. I guess Marcell is the big dog and Fred is now a little dog.
Blah blah blah blah blah 😢
😂 I thought he dq he quit he quit he quit man mannnnnnnnn!!!!!! he quit y’all he tapped out!!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a splinter. Do that what tha!!!!
Wow, with this interview, he just lost a fan..
I have seen nothing but a poor attitude from this guy for a good while, now. Several coaching and sponsorship changes in several years says that HE IS the PROBLEM and the aforementioned are just further indicating what you already see from his disposition. He needs to run much harder...speak more softly.
