It’s all Geoff he just dresses up. He’s part of a group as well. Voiceplay edited to add. Voiceplay and Geoff you don’t have to obscure. They love reactors. Will even interview with them
I discovered Geoff Castelucci and VoicePlay about four years ago. Put his videos in several powerpoint shows I make for my senior group. That is his voice. He was an opera trained singer and he has at least a three octave range. He's done all kinds of songs, and probably the best versions of several. He does holiday and Disney songs and knocks 'em out of the park. Loved to see your reactions. My senior group really loves him, especially the ladies. The voice is properly recorded on great mics, but the sound is his, including every harmony from the lowest growl to the tenor parts. If you want to see something funny, find the videos of singers and singing teachers reacting to him. I used to have a very low voice after throat cancer treatment. And the ladies were suckers for the sound. I think it has the same effect as riding astride a motorcycle for some women. He has a video instruction on how to sing low notes.
What a great reaction. It's actually typical of those who hear Geoff for the first time. To reiterate what others have written, This is all one person. He has a five octave voice. This is the sequel to Over The Misty Mountains Cold. 😁
Geoff is a one man band. :) He write the arrangement then sings all the parts. Then films himself singing all the parts. Then puts it all together. :) Oh and you don't need to block the image, Geoff is independent of any recording company who would block it. Great reaction :)
And it's all Geoff. Neither Geoff nor VoicePlay will block you. Half of their videos are audio and the other is the camera work, costuming, makeup and that attracts people to what they do. The have no contracts, or bosses. Everything they do is their own creativity and the visuals do attract people to them which they do need and deserve. Glad you loved this. I personally think it's Geoff's best. Today they dropped a new video In The Air Tonight which is also spectacular.
It's always fun to see someone find Geoff for the first time. He is truly amazing. The arrangment, set, production, costume design are all him and his wife Kathy. He uses outside makeup when th video calls for it, camera when necessary. For this one, they used a studio owned by another member of Voiceplay, and the lighting was done by yet another member. Geoff started doing solo work when Covid shut the world down and Voiceplay could no longer tour. I think you will like his cover of Sound of Silence. He doesn't show the Geoff clones in that one, but they are there. Please react to Voiceplay (he sings bass with them) - try Nothing Else Matters (Metallica) or In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins). Subscribed in anticipation of more Geoff and Voiceplay!
Great reaction! You have reacted to Geoff’s band Voiceplay before, you did oogie boogie song from nightmare before Christmas. This is Geoff’s solo’s stuff. He performs it 4 times all in different ranges and put the video together. He has a 5 octave range. There are so many of his and Voiceplay’s you should listen to, their lastest couple have been bonkers. Seven nation army, Valhalla calling, nothing else matters, warriors, enemy and many more. Geoff’s solo stuff like this is ridiculously good also. I’d suggest, ain’t no sunshine, misty mountains cold, ghost riders in the sky, sixteen tons, house of the rising sun or dreaming of a white Christmas just to get started.
Geoff is the bass for his group VoicePlay. All the Dwarfs are Geoff. The first time he did the Dwarfs was in his cover of "Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold" from the first Hobbit movie.
Great reaction. All Geoff. He does this in most of his videos. Clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. It started as a jab on the misspelling of his name in his Way Down video. But has become big on UA-cam. In Ghost Riders In The Sky he named his 4th clone Daryl. Each of his clones have their own personality as well. The prequel video he did to is Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold. Same characters. Which are all from the Hobbit movies. Killi, Bofur, Filli and Thorin.
It pays to watch the videos through to the end, because sometimes they answer questions and sometimes they give you Cadbury Easter Eggs. in this particular video, Geoff uses his natural speaking voice, which is kinda baritone, to thank his patreons, and to talk about how his is still removing spirit gum from his face from the beards he had to put on.
The group that Geoff Castellucci sings with (another acapella group) Voice Play were on the Sing Off competition with Home Free. You haven't heard just how crazy this guy can sing so check out their songs as well as Geoffs. You'll love it.
Geoff... yes his last three or four have been absolutely mind blowing even for him. Welcome... and be aware, we are ALL coming. We love to see new reactors. We sometimes get so spoiled because we are use to him singing ALL the way down.
Geoff is the bass singer for the group Voiceplay. Check their work out as well. Geoff does layered videos frequently, does his own harmonies. Both Geoff's solo work and Voiceplay's performances are all absolutely phenomenal! Glad you checked him out!
Welcome to the Geoff rabbit hole! He does the arrangements and sings all the parts/harmonies himself, and usually plays any instruments too. Geoff is also part of Voiceplay. There is no need to obscure his videos, he doesn't block them
Great reaction! This is a helluva introduction to Geoff! It's one of his best "solo" performances (IMO), and while he usually has his "clones" with him, he doesn't always go full musical-theater mode like this. But anything on his solo channel is well worth watching (and reacting to)! BTW - you're certainly not the first person to be confused about just how many "Geoffs" there really are.
As many others already said, it's just ONE person, in different outfits and makeups. 🙂 He's the bass singer in the a cappella group "Voiceplay", to whom you reacted about one year ago ("Queen in 5 minutes", "Boy bands in 5 minutes", and "Oogie Boogie song"... He was the Boogie Man 😁). They were already great, but they evolved quite a lot since, and are now doing simply unbelievable stuff, raising the bar at every new video. 🙂 Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff. BTW, if you want to explore a bit os the a cappella world AND the bass singers world, you already know Home Free (who are friends with Voiceplay 😁) and, I believe, Pentatonix, but there is as well the most recent group in that area that I know of, "The Bass Gang", who are absolutely worth checking! 🙂 See you next time!
For the record, I have recommended both geoff and his a capella group, voiceplay, numerous times. Glad you finally got to witness his greatness. Check out his whole catalog on UA-cam, and his group, too
This was amazing, I'm dying over here 😂 I know you've heard it from others by now, but yeah, Geoff does it all himself -- low to high to earthshattering low. He's something special.
Welcome to the Geoff Castellucci rabbit hole. Geoff Has a 5 octave range, and he loves to harmonize with himself. They are all the same person. I recommend you watch Oogie Boogey song to see his range, but the list of covers is a long and awesome one. He sings low bass for the A Cappella group Voiceplay, and I recommend you go react to their videos as well.
Welcome to the band wagon. Geoff has AMAZING singles, but also is part of an EPIC Acapella group called Voiceplay. Have fun experiencing the joy of music again.
@@ondrejlukas326, and that was Geoff's intent, I believe, lol. Unraveling that illusion is what makes the song very epic when it finally hits you it's one person :D
Yesssssss! I hope you'll do more geoff and possibly the a capella group he's in, voiceplay! You can't go wrong with anything from either of these channels, and voiceplay JUST released their cover of Phil Collins in the air tonight 💜
Geoff is delicious, he sends shivers through your soul. Now Geoff plays piano, and if you read his credits, this maybe layered to fit all 5 versions of himself. Watch him do "Blackbird" Listen to him narrate "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe
Love it ☺ You're right, it's the same person! By the way, this isn't your first time hearing Geoff. You've reacted to VoicePlay's Oogie Boogie Song, Queen in 5 Minutes and Boy Bands in 5 Minutes. Geoff's their bass (obviously). As you've seen now, he's also a fantastic solo artist. He's doing all of the voices, which I know can be very confusing because he sounds so different in his upper range. Hope to see more reactions to Geoff and VoicePlay in the future.
Just Geoff! Just the one guy in different costumes. 😂😂 You've actually heard him before too. You reacted to Oogie Boogie's Song from VoicePlay. That's his Acapella group. He's crazy good, dude!
Since you like bass and The Sound of Silence, please check out Bobby Bass singing Sound of Silence. There is a deep rabbit hole of amazing bass singers, if you choose to dive in, The Bass Gang is a good place to start.
You had me doubting myself for a sec. I was sitting here thinking ‘you’ve reacted to Geoff and Voiceplay before’ but then I had to go back and double check cos you were playing it off well 😂
Ohh Adam it's time for you to check out Voice Play. May I suggest starting with their Metalica Cover of Nothing Else Matter? As far as Geoff.. Well you can't really go wrong anywhere you want to go. Sixteen Tons is a good one. Good to have you back, welcome to the next rabbit hole. :D
I'll spare you the comments about who Geoff and Voiceplay are, but I will suggest that you always watch through to the Patrons screen with both Geoff and Voiceplay because they sometimes add little things at the end. Also, if watch with the captions on they often hide some funny stuff in there too!
I'm reluctant to add to the comments, because this may pull you down into the rabbit hole that is VoicePlay.. Geoff is one the founding members, who met in high school if I remember correctly. Geoff has a five octave range, and is a very talented arranger. He has a UA-cam channel and a Patreon. VoicePlay is an a Capella group that does various genres of songs. To tease your taste buds, check out VP's cover of Nothing Else Matters, and Geoff's version of Ain't No Sunshine. But that is just a taste. Beware. This is a deep rabbit hole you're entering. 😉
It’s all Geoff he just dresses up. He’s part of a group as well. Voiceplay edited to add. Voiceplay and Geoff you don’t have to obscure. They love reactors. Will even interview with them
That's the most awesome part, it's the same guy doing all of the voices. What incredible range.
He has an amazing 5 octave range.

It’s more obvious in other covers, but all of them are Geoff!! He just has an insane enough range to be a full band of four by himself

My brother, it’s all Geoff who does the bass for voice play
"Group"? This was one person singing all parts. He is the bass singer for VoicePlay... you reacted to that group's "Oogie Boogie Song" cover.
