Time for some theories: Mannequins seem to be a recurrent thing in their audios since dOra maar, so I think it may represent someone other than OnlyOneOf who plays an important part of the story. Also, the title Off angel is similar to angel, and if you remember, there were references to savanna, sage and dOra maar in the MV. The two songs are probably linked, just like picassO, dOra maar and designer or heartbreak terminal and heartbreak theatre. There is something I noticed immediately ever since the teasers dropped: this time, there is no narrative. Usually we have these long ass explanations about each song being linked to another one, the overall theme, the music style etc... For this era we have absolutely nothing. I don't know what that means, so if you have any idea... Let's go back to the audio's visual: those blue, red and green things remind me of angel, which make sense since the two songs are, as I said earlier, probably linked. It also remind me of some physics things, I don't know exactly why or what this is I suck at science. There are also some kind of blue arrows on the rock (?) in the middle. You said about the ocean shore alike thing that got me reminded of the myth of icarus, since the song it's about a angel who lost his wings just like icarus when lost his fake wings that melt while he flew next to the sun, and then his falls in the ocean, beeing rescued by the Sirens. I guess that it fits in the theme of a fallen angel, and actually of the human nature of ourselves in this world, as well like the description on the MV.
i gotta ask, who decides and comes up with the background sets for the songs? like dora maar, sage, this one etc. they're so damn cool, i don't think i've seen anything similar in any other kpop group! sage has got to be my favourite. the actual aesthetics throughout the video- same with literally all of their songs. glad to be stanning these guys! on an unrelated note, i don't really like ballads, but this one sounds so nice!
