So if you love an app with all the fancy AI then Photos is the way to go, but once your photos are in Photos it is a bit of a mission to get them out. If you like control, some folders and looking at the data of your photos, but no fancy AI, Bridge is a perfect option. It just depends on how much work you want to do to keep your photos sorted. 😁

Can I get your thoughts on what is the best photo duplicate finder out there, regardless of operating system or cost? I have many “similar” duplicates on an external hardrive that I need to work on as I download from various phones who are all on the same WhatsApp groups leading to lots of duplicates in different folders, with different names, different resolutions and slightly different attributes! Thank you in advance!
So when it comes to duplicate finders I actually have 2 favourites, one for Mac and one for PC. For Mac check out PhotoSweeper (ua-cam.com/video/vpaPl2wzyQ0/v-deo.html) and for the PC check out Duplicate Cleaner Pro (ua-cam.com/video/D1Mq8Rqhs9Y/v-deo.html). As I work on both systems my favourite is Duplicate Cleaner Pro as it is way better for finding duplicate videos. Happy Sorting 😁
My bad. I have no duplicates because I use another programme to identify and clear. Duplicates tab only shows up when you have duplicate photos. Sorry.

What are your thoughts on the Apple Photos Duplicate Tool? Is it any good?
I’ve switched to a Mac with a new Mac mini and am working out if photos or bridge is best.

I am running Sonoma 14.2.1 and my Photos app does not have a duplicates tab? Has this only recently been released?
